From the initial phone call to retain their services to the bitter end they fought to get my son the sentence he deserved rather than the sentence he was facing. They went above and beyond in my sons case - from multiple visits to him at the jail, keeping all of us apprised of any changes no matter how minor they were, to being there early for every court appearance I truly can’t thank them enough. Attorney Turel never hesitated to take my phone calls, meetings etc. Attorney Stephen Turel was his attorney but his partner Paul Ackourey was just as involved. They work together like a well oiled machine to get your loved one a fair sentence. Attorney Turel is one of the most intelligent and experienced men I’ve ever met in my life. If it wasn’t for him my son would have come out of jail having spent more time incarcerated than he had been alive. Thank you just doesn’t seem enough to say. Let me start by saying the other lawyers in Scranton, PA that I had called basically just asked what the charges were and told me how much it would be for representation. When I called Steven, he was very responsive. He told me what each charge was, what each charge meant for me and continued to lay out everything that could happen out on the table during the consultation. By far the best consultation I had with any lawyer from the Scranton area. When we reviewed the case, he went through and explained what could happen, best and worst case scenarios, as well as explained what each scenario meant for me. He also explained what would happen when we showed up to the courthouse, the protocol they use, how long the case would be and what would happen during the case. I ended up getting nothing but fines and two points. I am very thankful for Steven's help and would highly recommend him. Thank you Ackourey and Turel!
