I want to preface this with the fact that we actually won our probate case, however I wouldn't suggest Carl to my worst enemy. He requests everyone call him "Lawyer Adams", and it felt like he went out of his way to rack up his hours rather than trying to take care of our case with any kind of efficiency. Per Adair M Buckner law website the average cost for probate with a will, which we had, is about $2,500. Carl charged us closer to $20,000 to complete it. After all of this we were told that there were additional fees and work that needed to be done, and we would need to pay him to complete any of that.
This introduction provides an objective and detailed overview of Adams Carl D, a legal professional listed within the "Lawyers Near Me" platform category. The aim is to introduce this lawyer to local users in Dallas, Texas, by outlining his reported environment, services, key features, and any discernible promotional aspects, strictly based on the provided client testimonials and general understanding of legal practices. This objective presentation incorporates both positive outcomes and significant negative feedback to offer a balanced perspective.
Adams Carl D's office is located at 6060 N Central Expy # 690, Dallas, TX 75206, USA. This address places the law office within a commercial building along a major thoroughfare in Dallas, suggesting accessibility for clients. As a legal professional's office, the environment is typically designed to be professional, confidential, and conducive to serious discussions regarding legal matters. While specific details about the interior setup or amenities of Adams Carl D's office are not provided, it can be generally assumed that the space offers a private setting for client consultations, a reception area, and functional workspaces. Being situated in an office suite within a building on a major expressway also suggests good connectivity within the Dallas metropolitan area, which can be a benefit for clients traveling from various parts of the city.
Based on the provided client testimonials, Adams Carl D appears to handle probate cases. One client explicitly states, "we actually won our probate case," indicating success in this area of law. Probate cases typically involve validating a will, settling a deceased person's estate, and distributing assets to beneficiaries. This area of law requires meticulous attention to legal procedures, financial matters, and often sensitive family dynamics. While the specific nuances of his probate services are not detailed, the successful outcome mentioned suggests competence in navigating the legal requirements of such cases. No other specific practice areas are discernible from the provided information.
The client feedback offers crucial and often conflicting insights into the features of Adams Carl D's practice. On one hand, a client acknowledges a successful outcome in their probate case, indicating that he is capable of achieving desired legal results. One reviewer even states, "Yes, he can be very knowledgeable, talented & highly-skilled." This suggests that he possesses significant legal acumen and abilities, which are essential for navigating complex legal processes.
However, the overwhelmingly negative sentiment in both reviews highlights several critical features that are areas of significant concern for potential clients. A prominent issue raised is related to billing practices and efficiency. The first client reported being charged "closer to $20,000" for a probate case with a will, where the average cost, according to another legal website, was around "$2,500." This client felt that Carl "went out of his way to rack up his hours rather than trying to take care of our case with any kind of efficiency." This indicates a perceived lack of transparency and inflated billing, suggesting a focus on maximizing fees rather than efficient case resolution. Furthermore, after paying a substantial amount, the client was told there were "additional fees and work that needed to be done," requiring further payment.
Another significant feature highlighted is related to client communication and interpersonal dynamics. One client states, "He requests everyone call him 'Lawyer Adams'," which can be perceived as an unusual or overly formal demand. The second review is far more scathing, describing him as "sweet talking, nice talking like a romance partner, until he gets your funds. Then, You are done." This points to a perceived manipulative approach to client engagement, where initial charm gives way to abandonment or neglect once payment is secured. The review continues with extremely strong language, characterizing him as a "parasite," a "bernie-madoff of dallas-attorney," and "cold hearted & materialistic," caring "All he cares about your money!" These are severe accusations, implying unethical conduct, lack of care for client well-being beyond financial gain, and a failure to provide effective service after initial payment. The client explicitly advises, "Do not hire him. Do not call him. Do not communicate with him. Stay away from him." and questions why the Texas Bar allows him to practice.
From a promotional standpoint, the provided information does not include any direct promotional messages from Adams Carl D himself, such as claims of expertise, specific success rates, or offers like free consultations. The contact information, phone: (214) 691-6622 and mobile phone: +1 214-691-6622, serves as the primary means for potential clients to reach him. However, the client reviews themselves, while serving as feedback, act as a significant deterrent rather than a promotional endorsement. The severity of the negative feedback regarding billing practices, efficiency, perceived abandonment, and alleged unethical conduct would likely outweigh any general perception of competence derived from a successful case outcome. For individuals searching on the "Lawyers Near Me" platform, such strong negative testimonials are highly influential and would likely lead to extreme caution.
For local users in Dallas considering Adams Carl D for legal assistance through the "Lawyers Near Me" platform, the available information presents a deeply troubling and contradictory picture. While he may possess legal knowledge and can achieve a successful outcome, the consistent and severe complaints regarding excessive billing, lack of efficiency, poor communication, and alleged unethical behavior are paramount. Potential clients are strongly advised to exercise extreme caution. It is critical to conduct thorough due diligence, including verifying any claims, seeking multiple consultations with different attorneys, and thoroughly reviewing fee agreements and communication policies before engaging with Adams Carl D. The explicit warnings from former clients to "Stay away from him. Do not even engage with him." are a significant red flag that potential clients should heed carefully.
In conclusion, Adams Carl D is a Dallas-based lawyer listed on "Lawyers Near Me," who has handled probate cases successfully. He is noted for his legal knowledge. However, the dominant features derived from client testimonials are profound concerns regarding highly excessive billing, perceived inefficiency, allegations of unethical practices, and severe communication breakdowns. These highly negative client experiences overshadow the acknowledgment of a successful case outcome and present a significant cautionary warning for any potential client.

Jan 26, 2023 · Jason BurkDo not hire him. Do not call him. Do not communicate with him. Stay away from him. I agree with other reviewers. He would be sweet talking, nice talking like a romance partner, until he gets your funds. Then, You are done. Yes, he can be very knowledgeable, talented & highly-skilled. But, not use. He is a parasite & he would take your blood & let you die. So, there is no use. He is a bernie-madoff of dallas-attorney. He would not mind take, let your blood drain & leave you die. He is that cold hearted & materialistic attorney. All he cares about your money ! Stay away from him. Do not even engage with him. Better off with any other attorneys. Do not give him any funds or any money, no matter what he say. Disregard him. Avoid him at any cost. Do not hire him. Do not call him. Do not communicate with him. I really wonder why texas bar is even allowing him to practice. They should throw him in Jail, even though texas-bar is aware of his frauds/scams.
Jun 17, 2023 · Sporty KarmaFirst take with Mr. Adams: A very down to earth, casual, friendly, engaging and a very knowledgeable attorney. However, he will abruptly disappear on you for unknown reasons without no explanation(s). Will not extend the common courtesy of acknowledging and returning your telephone calls. Very disappointing, unprofessional and inconsiderate for an experienced senior aged and solo practice attorney. He was highly referred by his longtime college friend with whom he shares his law office with. Hopefully, he will either decide to rediscover his zest and zeal and commitment for the legal profession, or just ride on out into the sunset and enjoy his retirement. This type of behavior and conduct is what causes potential and actual clients to continue to become more and more distrustful of the legal/attorney profession.
