This monster of a lawyer is one of the worst I have ever encountered. He was chosen as a court appointed attorney for my fiance. He came into the courtroom 1/2 late and never acknowledged his client. When he finally did, his tone and attitude was nasty and apathetic. Even when I began to ask questions he raised his voice at me and leaned towards me aggressively. I asked him if he was even going to try to help and he responded “What do I expect him to do?, and that he was going along with the decision of the prosecutor. After he exhibited an aggressive posture, tone and attitude towards me, I pulled out my phone to record the remainder of the conversation. The second I started recording, his whole tone and demeanor changed. He leaned back away from me and began to speak in a mild tone, or passive aggressive stating that he didn’t care if I recorded him. He knew how to switch up his behaviors “for the camera”. He did the same when he went back before the judge. He is a Nigerian lawyer trained in Lagos who hates brown Americans and so tries to discourage, demean, berate, exact punishments and agrees to incarcerate as many as he can. He is an evil, smug, nasty, hate filled demon who thrives off of doing what he believes the white man wants him to. Saddest part was watching him cozy up to his white counterparts smiling in their faces but looking at us brown folks with disgust. Shame!!!! You are a disgust and least of a black man! I don’t understand why our government allows people like you any voice in our justice system knowing how much hate you have for us! I’m sure almost every brown client you’ve been sent to represent has had the same interactions with you. P.S. Stop getting your friends to post false positive about you.

Services Offered

While specific detailed information regarding the comprehensive list of services offered by Adeniji Lateph is not extensively available in general public search results, the provided customer reviews strongly indicate that he has experience as a court-appointed attorney or public defender, primarily in criminal defense. It's crucial for any potential client to directly confirm the exact types of cases and legal services an attorney handles before engaging their services. Based on the reviews, which describe interactions in a courtroom setting and reference a "public defender," the primary area of focus appears to be:

  • Criminal Defense: This broad area encompasses representing individuals accused of various crimes, from misdemeanors to felonies. As a public defender or court-appointed attorney, this would involve defending clients in court, navigating plea bargains, and ensuring clients' rights are protected within the justice system. Cases could include, but are not limited to, assault, theft, drug offenses, and other criminal charges. The reviews specifically mention a "child's case," which could potentially involve juvenile criminal matters or other family court proceedings that intersect with criminal allegations.

The reviews also raise concerns about client interaction and approach, which are important aspects for potential clients to consider when assessing suitability. When considering legal representation, it is always advisable to discuss the specific nature of your case directly with the attorney to ensure their expertise aligns with your needs and that you are comfortable with their approach to legal defense.

Given the emphasis on his role as a public defender in the reviews, it suggests that he primarily handles cases assigned by the court to individuals who cannot afford private legal counsel. Therefore, his practice may be focused on providing defense services within the public defender system in Tarrant County or surrounding jurisdictions in Texas. For specific legal needs beyond criminal defense, it would be essential to verify if he handles those types of cases in a private capacity.

Features / Highlights

When evaluating a legal professional, Texas residents consider various features and highlights that speak to an attorney's capabilities and approach. However, the provided customer reviews for Adeniji Lateph present significant concerns regarding client experience and professional conduct, which are important for any prospective client to consider. Based on these reviews, here's an overview of points that might be highlighted, both positive (inferred) and negative (explicitly stated in reviews):

  • Local Texas Presence: The office is located at 619 W Main St B, Arlington, TX 76010, USA. This local presence can offer accessibility for residents of Arlington and surrounding areas, potentially making it easier for clients to attend meetings and manage their case.
  • Experience as a Court-Appointed Attorney/Public Defender: The reviews indicate that Adeniji Lateph has experience in the role of a court-appointed attorney or public defender. This suggests familiarity with the criminal justice system, court procedures, and working within the public defense framework in Texas. This type of role often involves handling a high volume of cases and navigating the complexities of court-assigned defense work.
  • Direct Courtroom Interaction: The reviews describe direct interactions in a courtroom setting, implying experience in legal proceedings and engaging with prosecutors and judges. This indicates familiarity with the dynamics of trial and court processes.

However, it is crucial to address the significant concerns raised in the provided customer reviews, which describe a highly negative client experience. These include:

  • Unprofessional and Rude Demeanor: Reviews describe the attorney as "unprofessional," "rude," "nasty," "hostile," and "disrespectful to women and people in general." These accounts suggest a significant lack of professional etiquette and respect in client interactions.
  • Poor Client Communication: Clients report that he "over talks people on the phone," "argues with not only his clients but their families as well," "would not answer her questions," and "acted like the prosecutor instead of the defense." These indicate a severe breakdown in effective and supportive client communication.
  • Lack of Client Advocacy: A review states, "He had already said I was guilty before looking over my case," and "he was going along with the decision of the prosecutor." This suggests a perceived lack of effort or commitment to defending the client's best interests.
  • Aggressive Posture and Tone: One review mentions him raising his voice, leaning aggressively, and having a "nasty and apathetic" attitude, which changed only when recording began, implying a calculated change in demeanor.
  • Perceived Bias: One review contains serious allegations of racial bias, stating, "He is a Nigerian lawyer trained in Lagos who hates brown Americans and so tries to discourage, demean, berate, exact punishments and agrees to incarcerate as many as he can. He is an evil, smug, nasty, hate filled demon who thrives off of doing what he believes the white man wants him to." This is a severe and alarming accusation, although it is important to note this is a subjective client perception expressed in a review.
  • Discomfort and Lack of Trust: Clients reported feeling "uncomfortable" and a desire to "get him recused" from cases, indicating a significant lack of trust and confidence in his representation.

For any Texas resident considering legal counsel, these reviews present critical information that warrants thorough consideration and direct inquiry. It is imperative to assess whether an attorney's client interaction style and professional conduct align with your expectations for legal representation.

Promotions or Special Offers

Based on the publicly available information, there are no specific promotions or special offers listed for Adeniji Lateph’s legal services. This is generally consistent with the practices of professional legal firms, as ethical guidelines for attorneys typically do not permit advertising discount rates or promotional packages in the same way retail businesses might. The value in legal services is often found in specialized expertise, experience, and personalized counsel rather than discounted rates.

Given the nature of the reviews, which suggest a role as a court-appointed attorney or public defender, it's even less likely that promotions would be offered. Attorneys in such roles typically handle cases assigned by the court, and their compensation structure is governed by public defense contracts or judicial mandates, rather than private client billing with promotional offers.

However, for any legal professional, an initial consultation is often a standard practice. During this meeting, a potential client would typically discuss their legal matter, and the attorney would assess the situation and explain how they might be able to help. The fee structure for such initial consultations can vary; some attorneys offer them free of charge, while others might charge a reduced fee or their standard hourly rate. It is crucial to have a clear understanding of any fees and costs associated with initial meetings or ongoing legal representation before formally engaging any attorney.

When seeking legal counsel from Adeniji Lateph, or any other attorney in Texas, it is always recommended to directly contact their office using the provided phone numbers to inquire about their specific consultation policies and fee arrangements. This direct communication will provide the most accurate and up-to-date information regarding any potential initial costs or payment plans. Understanding the fee structure upfront is a critical step in making an informed decision about your legal representation.

For Texas residents, having a transparent discussion about legal fees and the scope of work during your initial contact ensures there are no surprises and that you are fully aware of the financial aspects of engaging legal services. This approach allows clients to make informed decisions based on both the attorney's professional capabilities and their financial considerations.

Contact Information

To get in touch with Adeniji Lateph and inquire about legal services, Texas residents can use the following contact details:

  • Address: 619 W Main St B, Arlington, TX 76010, USA
  • Phone: (817) 277-9710
  • Mobile Phone: +1 817-277-9710

When contacting the office, it's advisable to have a brief summary of your legal matter ready. This can help the staff or attorney determine if their expertise aligns with your needs and how they can best assist you. It's also a good opportunity to inquire about their consultation process, including any associated fees, to ensure you are fully informed from the outset of your inquiry. Given the significant concerns raised in customer reviews, potential clients may wish to prepare specific questions about client communication practices and professional demeanor during their initial contact.

Conclusion: Why this place is suitable for locals

For residents of Arlington and the broader Texas region, finding suitable legal representation involves careful consideration of an attorney's professional capacity and client interactions. The office of Adeniji Lateph is located at 619 W Main St B, Arlington, TX 76010, USA, offering a local presence that provides convenient accessibility for individuals in the area. This local proximity can be beneficial for managing legal matters, facilitating easier meetings, and streamlining communication throughout a case.

The provided customer reviews, however, present significant and serious concerns regarding client experience, professional conduct, and perceived advocacy. These include descriptions of rude and aggressive behavior, lack of communication, and allegations of bias and a lack of client-focused representation. Such feedback is critical for any Texas local to consider when assessing suitability, as effective legal representation relies heavily on trust, open communication, and the attorney acting as a diligent advocate for their client's best interests.

While the reviews indicate experience within the criminal defense system, particularly as a court-appointed attorney or public defender, the negative aspects highlighted cannot be overlooked. For Texas residents needing legal guidance, the decision of who to retain as an attorney is deeply personal and should be based on a comprehensive evaluation of all available information. The direct contact information – Phone: (817) 277-9710 and Mobile Phone: +1 817-277-9710 – allows individuals to make their own inquiries. However, it is strongly advised that prospective clients engage in thorough due diligence, potentially seeking consultations with multiple attorneys, and prioritize finding a legal professional with whom they feel comfortable and confident, especially when dealing with sensitive and high-stakes legal matters. The suitability of any legal service ultimately depends on the individual's specific needs, comfort level with the attorney's reported demeanor, and their assessment of whether the attorney can effectively represent their interests in the Texas legal system.

A horribly unprofessional and rude person who over talks people on the phone, presents with hostility, and argues with not only his clients but their families as well. He seems more focused on past offenses rather than present cases. He’s extremely disrespectful to women and people in general and does not care about his clients at all simply because he is a public defender. He’s a terrible attorney and if you were smart, you would not allow this uncouth and unprofessional person to represent you or your family. I will do my very best to get him recused from my daughters case. I genuinely hope he reads this, not that it will matter. His superiority and smugness make him difficult to work with. Never have I dealt with an attorney so rude in my life. He is a disgrace to the profession. He made my daughter feel uncomfortable, he would not answer her questions and he acted like the prosecutor instead of the defense. I want him nowhere near her case.

And I’m going to continue to give you one star ratings because of the absolutely horrible human being you have been. Learn how to talk to people with respect and decency. In THIS country, you are innocent until PROVEN guilty. How you are completely unaware of this fact is beyond me. You messed with the wrong mama.
