Roger D. Allen Attorney at Law focuses primarily on a critical area of law that directly impacts many Texans: Social Security Disability. His practice is dedicated to helping individuals navigate the intricate process of securing benefits from the Social Security Administration (SSA). His core services include:
Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) Claims: Assisting individuals who have worked and paid Social Security taxes, and are now unable to work due to a severe medical condition. This involves guiding clients through the application process, gathering necessary medical evidence, and representing them at all stages, including appeals and hearings.
Supplemental Security Income (SSI) Claims: Providing legal support for those with limited income and resources who are disabled, blind, or aged. Mr. Allen helps eligible individuals apply for and receive these crucial benefits.
Appeals and Hearings: A significant part of his practice involves representing clients whose initial applications for disability benefits have been denied. He prepares clients for hearings before administrative law judges, presents compelling arguments, and challenges unfavorable decisions. His experience in court, even if he doesn't speak much, is geared towards preparing the groundwork for the case.
Understanding the 5-Step Disability Evaluation: Mr. Allen guides clients through the SSA's five-step sequential evaluation process to determine disability, helping them understand if they are working, if their medical problem is severe, if it meets a "listing," and if they can perform previous or other jobs.
Consultation on Social Security Disability Matters: Offering guidance on various questions related to Social Security, such as what constitutes "disability" under Social Security rules and what to expect when seeing a judge.
His long-standing focus on these types of cases indicates a deep specialization in this area of law.
Roger D. Allen Attorney at Law is distinguished by several features and highlights that are particularly relevant for Texans seeking Social Security Disability assistance:

It's important for prospective clients to consider all available feedback. Jan 20, 2025 · Trinity Storm Shabazz (Trinity Storm Shabazz)Listened to my case, felt like he empathized with my situation, then, all the way up until my court appointment came up, the only thing he had done was help me get basic information. And when I actually GOT to court, he didn't say anything. Basically left me out to dry with practically ZERO advocation after I had waited almost a year and a half for the court appointment If he sees you as a losing case, it seems he'll represent you long enough to see how much of a chance you have, then when the chances look bleak, he taps out from the case - at least that's what it felt like He at one point tried to convince me to basically drop the case, and I had to ask him if he was actually trying to win, or if he was just going to keep trying to discourage me - which, in the end, he released me from his services not long after the court date, once I started doubting his efforts My assumption is because I'm on the younger end of the spectrum, since he started to talk to me like I didn't understand the circumstances and suggested I just, "Go mow some lawns" for a livable wage. Which, aside from being insulting, is disconnected from how the world has actually operated for a while now, and shows how surface level his knowledge/empathy is when dealing with the very people he's serving Long story short: Don't go here if you're young; he's old-fashioned and only fights for you if your case seems winnable. Don't know how he treats those who are elderly/older, but it's probably better than what I got
Jul 19, 2022 · Jeremy HarrisRoger was very dedicated to my case. I was denied on my 1st try and he fought for me! I had a bad horseback accident when I was 21. Suffered through 25 years of no insurance and no treatment plus I was a single mom and had to work. After 25 years of it I had to quit my job as I was spinning my wheels not making enough to pay my lease at the salon. Ended up with 2 back surgeries and suffer from weekly migraines and contant neck and back pain even after surgeries. A friend referred me to this man. So glad he did! I cried when I got that letter of award that I won my case thanks to Roger. At 46 I never thought I had a chance. Thank you Roger, you are AMAZING!!!!!
