ABSOLUTELY the most bias woman so called friend of the court….only because appointed by her buddy! Put down statements she said my daughter made that she did not!! Sat with my ex, a woman obviously, for 23 hrs., talked to me for 40 min after falsely accusing me of being somehow impaired “over the phone”! Looked like an idiot after I had a full sobriety test done in which the officers job was threatened for helping me! Wow, people already know. There’s a reason she couldn’t win an election. Has to depend on a buddy to appoint her. Totally unprofessional. Comes apart in court….oops.. judge to the rescue.

The customer reviews provided for Alvey Law Office raise significant concerns regarding the handling of family court matters. It is crucial to carefully consider this feedback when evaluating this legal practice. The key issues highlighted by the reviewers include:

  • Allegations of Bias: Both reviewers explicitly accuse the attorney at Alvey Law Office of being biased. One describes her as "absolutely the most bias woman so called friend of the court," alleging favoritism due to an appointment by a "buddy." The other states she "does not make decisions based upon facts or truth. 100 % bias and rigid."
  • Concerns about Factual Accuracy: One reviewer claims the attorney "put down statements she said my daughter made that she did not!!" This raises serious questions about the accuracy and reliability of information presented to the court.
  • Alleged Unprofessional Conduct: The first reviewer details an experience where the attorney allegedly spent a disproportionate amount of time with the opposing party (23 hours versus 40 minutes with the reviewer), made a false accusation of impairment based on a phone call, and exhibited unprofessional behavior in court, reportedly "coming apart" and requiring intervention from the judge.
  • Disregard for Settlement Agreements: The second reviewer alleges that the attorney will "single handedly block" settlement agreements reached outside of court by all parties, prioritizing her own agenda over the best interests of families.
  • Lack of Compassion and Focus on Winning: The second reviewer describes the attorney as lacking compassion and primarily focused on "winning," suggesting a potentially adversarial approach that may not prioritize the well-being of those involved in family court proceedings.
  • Negative Impact on Families: The second reviewer explicitly states, "No place for this type of practice in family court," indicating a belief that the attorney's approach is detrimental to families navigating the legal system.
  • Concerns about Professionalism and Competence: The overall tone of the reviews suggests serious concerns about the attorney's professionalism, objectivity, and competence in handling family law cases.

It is imperative to acknowledge the severity of the allegations made in these reviews. While these are individual accounts, the consistency in the themes of bias, unprofessionalism, and a disregard for facts or the best interests of families should be a significant consideration for potential clients.

There is no promotional information provided in the context. Given the nature of the recent feedback, it is unlikely that any formal promotional activities would outweigh the concerns raised by these direct client experiences. Potential clients will need to rely on their own due diligence and potentially seek information from other sources beyond what is provided here.

In conclusion, Alvey Law Office, located in Shepherdsville, KY, appears to handle family law cases. However, the provided customer reviews contain extremely serious allegations of bias, unprofessional conduct, and a disregard for facts and the best interests of families. Individuals in the "Lawyers Near Me" category in Shepherdsville considering Alvey Law Office should exercise extreme caution and carefully weigh the significant negative feedback presented. It is strongly recommended to seek consultations with multiple attorneys, thoroughly investigate their professional reputations, and prioritize legal representation that demonstrates objectivity, professionalism, and a commitment to ethical and client-focused practices, especially in the sensitive area of family law. The information available suggests a high degree of risk in engaging the services of Alvey Law Office based on the experiences of these reviewers.

Does not make decisions based upon facts or truth. 100 % bias and rigid. No support for anything but hearsay without evidence. If parties all agree to settle outside of court she will single handedly block it verses hearing and considering what is best for families. Absolute worst demeanor and lacks compassion. Only cares about winning. No place for this type of practice in family court.

Shelly is amazing!! My daughters grandparents sued me for grandparent visitation rights. I had an attorney and he did not want to take my case to trial. I went to Shelly just a few weeks before my trial was scheduled and knowing it would be difficult she still took on my case and represented me. With all of Shelly’s hard work and dedication she won this case for me. I could not be more thankful!

There are no amount of words to express how great it was to work WITH Shelly Alvey! She is honest even to the point that she will tell you what you do not want to hear (which is a good thing) as she does not sugar coat anything. Even going back to the very first time that Shelly and I had spoken on the phone, I had an instant trust in her and felt (even though she always warned that things could go either way) like things were going to be ok. She listened to me from day one, she was actually the only one throughout the entire system that listened to me and was there for me from start to finish. I wish I could give 100 stars instead of 5 on this review. I recommend going with Shelly if you are ever in need, she is the best!!
