I am reading the bad reviews about Mr. Ashford and that is not the man that I got for my son case. He was very honest about my son situation and let me know the choices that he had. My son had one of the worst cases you can have. Every time I called him his receptionist would answer and tell me he wasn't in, and she would take a message and make sure he got it. He would call me back when he could, no it was not right away, but he always returned my calls. When you get a lawyer, we have to understand that our family member is NOT the only client they have. He could be handling 20 other cases at one time. He is an attorney for Juveniles and adults. Yes, we all want them to stop what they are doing and cater to our loved ones, I'm no exception to that, but that's just not how it is. We want certain outcomes, knowing darn well it's a 50/50 chance it could go the other way. Be realistic about the outcome of the situation. Just like my son case. It was not what I wanted but it was the best decision for his situation. Then when you don't get the outcome, you want. The attorney gets bashed. They are the attorney for a reason if you could do the job yourself then you wouldn't need him. I had to learn to be patience and know that he would get to me just as soon as he could, and that's exactly what he did. It didn't make me feel less important at all. Respect your attorney, talk with sense when you speak to them, be patience, and be realistic about the situation. Mr. Ashford thank you 1,000 times for your dedication on my son case, and even checking on me to see how I was holding up. If you are looking for an attorney do not hesitate to call him. He is a VERY, VERY, good attorney.

Feb 10, 2023 · Erica WilsonIn any professional setting, particularly within the legal and correctional systems, maintaining a high standard of professionalism and courtesy is paramount. Mr. Ashford's behavior, as described, raises significant concerns given the gravity of the situation involving an inmate whose life is at stake. Unprofessional conduct and a lack of courtesy in such critical circumstances not only undermine the integrity of the legal process but also jeopardize the fair treatment and well-being of individuals relying on the system for justice and humane treatment. When dealing with inmates, especially those facing life-threatening situations, it is crucial for all involved parties to exhibit a high degree of empathy, respect, and diligence. The stakes are incredibly high, and even minor lapses in professionalism can have devastating consequences. The behavior of Mr. Ashford, as reported, could lead to mistrust in the system and potentially hinder the inmate's access to fair representation and due process. It is essential for professionals in these roles to uphold ethical standards and ensure that every individual's rights and dignity are preserved. Addressing such issues requires systemic accountability and continuous training for those in positions of authority. The legal and correctional systems must foster environments where respect, professionalism, and humanity are the norms. Ensuring this standard not only benefits the individuals directly involved but also upholds the broader principles of justice and equity that are foundational to a fair society..
Aug 18, 2024 · Jessica QuarrellsFrom my experience, George Ashford III is not a good attorney. He works as a public defender and did not fight for my cousin. He never returned any phone calls to provide updates. He was only interested in assisting the courts in my opinion to put him away. Maybe if he was paid by my cousin instead of court appointed he would have fought. I wouldn't recommend him to anyone.
Feb 21, 2019 · shy williamsIf I could give a negative star, I would. If you want an incompetent and horrible lawyer, he's the guy. He is the true definition of: Ineffective Assistance of Counsel. In 5 years, COUNT - 5, he didn't interview one character witness or investigate the case on his own. Appeared to be to working for the prosecution. I'd bet money on it. He is HORRIBLE. Most of his cases are court appointed, so if you get him, don't expect much. He was not a good advocate and really needs to be disbarred. If you're indigent or can't afford to pay, request a new attorney. He needs to be investigated.
