Complete waste of time and money. They took payment over the phone that supposedly included the referral and consultation (which is, usually free btw). I told them specifically I needed a lawyer who knew about a specific area and she referred me to a bankruptcy lawyer which had nothing to do with my situation so the "consultation" was less than 5 minutes since he knew nothing about it and couldn't even give me advice. I called Wendy back to let her know what happened and left a voicemail and I never got a call back. So my money was wasted for nothing. Not a good referral service at all.

Bar Association Lehigh County Introduce

For individuals in the Allentown, Pennsylvania area seeking legal assistance and exploring options within the "Lawyers Near Me" platform category, the Bar Association of Lehigh County, situated at 1114 Walnut St, Allentown, PA 18102, USA, is an organization that may provide resources and referrals to local attorneys. Bar associations typically serve as hubs for the legal community, often offering services to the public such as lawyer referral services to connect individuals with attorneys who practice in the relevant area of law. However, it is crucial to consider all available information, including feedback from individuals who have used their services, to form a comprehensive understanding of what the Bar Association of Lehigh County offers.

Information regarding the specific environment of the Bar Association of Lehigh County's office on Walnut Street is not detailed through online searches. Generally, a bar association office would include administrative areas for staff, meeting rooms for committee work or member events, and potentially resources for the public seeking information or referrals. The primary function is typically administrative and organizational, supporting the local legal community and, in some cases, facilitating connections between the public and attorneys. Potential users might expect a professional but perhaps less client-facing environment compared to a private law firm.

The primary service that a bar association like the Bar Association of Lehigh County often provides to the public is a Lawyer Referral Service (LRS). The intention of an LRS is to help individuals find attorneys who are qualified to handle their specific legal issues. Typically, an individual contacts the LRS, describes their legal problem, and is then given the contact information of one or more attorneys who practice in that field within the local area. Some LRS may have a vetting process for the attorneys they refer to ensure they meet certain criteria, such as being in good standing with the bar and having experience in the relevant area of law.

However, the provided customer reviews offer a critical perspective on the effectiveness of the Bar Association of Lehigh County's referral service. One reviewer described their experience as a "complete waste of time and money." They reported paying a fee over the phone that supposedly included a referral and consultation. This reviewer specifically stated they needed a lawyer knowledgeable in a particular area of law but were referred to a bankruptcy lawyer who had no relevant expertise. Consequently, the consultation was very brief and unhelpful. The reviewer also mentioned leaving a voicemail to follow up but never receiving a call back, concluding that the service was not a good referral service and a waste of money.

Another reviewer expressed significant disappointment with the lack of responsiveness from the Bar Association of Lehigh County. They reported calling three times and leaving messages to schedule an appointment with an attorney for a few quick questions but never receiving a return call. This lack of communication led to a negative impression of the organization and, by extension, the lawyers associated with them. The reviewer likened this lack of follow-up to other disappointing experiences with Lehigh Valley businesses and expressed frustration with the perceived lack of professionalism.

Given the negative feedback from these reviewers, it is challenging to present positive promotional information based solely on these accounts. The experiences shared suggest potential issues with the accuracy of referrals, the cost-effectiveness of the service (if fees are involved), and the overall responsiveness and customer service provided by the Bar Association of Lehigh County's referral process.

For local users in Allentown, PA, who are considering using the Bar Association of Lehigh County's lawyer referral service, it is important to be aware of the experiences shared by these individuals. The feedback raises concerns about the quality of the referrals, the potential for incurring costs without receiving helpful legal guidance, and the possibility of encountering communication issues. While a bar association is intended to be a helpful resource, these reviews suggest that the actual experience may not always meet expectations.

Individuals seeking legal representation in Allentown may want to consider these reviews alongside any potential benefits of using a bar association referral service. It might be prudent to inquire specifically about the referral process, any associated fees, and the criteria used to match individuals with attorneys. Additionally, exploring other avenues for finding legal representation, such as online legal directories, recommendations from trusted sources, or directly contacting law firms in the area, may be beneficial to ensure a well-informed decision.

In conclusion, the Bar Association of Lehigh County, located on Walnut Street in Allentown, PA, may offer a lawyer referral service to connect local residents with attorneys. However, the available customer reviews present negative experiences regarding the accuracy of referrals, associated costs, and responsiveness. Potential users should carefully consider this feedback and conduct thorough research into the services provided and the experiences of others before utilizing this resource for their legal needs. Exploring alternative methods for finding legal representation in the Allentown area may also be advisable.

I called three times and left messages to make an appointment with an attorney for a few quick questions and these people never bothered to call me back. Like a lot of Lehigh Valley "businesses", a no-show, no rsvp, zip, nada, nothin'. So disappointing! I don't care how busy you are today; get back to me SOME day in the near future. This nothingness gives the impression that all their lawyers are big, fat, duds.

Fantastic resource for Lehigh Valley attorneys to network and attend required CLEs. BALC is located in a beautiful facility and all of the employees there are top notch.
