Baron & Budd, P.C. Introduce

For individuals and entities in Dallas, Texas, seeking legal recourse against corporate wrongdoing, environmental damage, or personal injuries on a large scale, Baron & Budd, P.C. stands as a nationally recognized and highly experienced law firm. Operating within the "Lawyers Near Me" category, Baron & Budd offers a broad spectrum of services aimed at "Protecting What's Right" for plaintiffs across the United States. While individual experiences, as with any large firm, can vary, the firm's overall profile, extensive history, and significant legal victories paint a picture of a powerful advocate for those harmed by negligence or misconduct.

Baron & Budd, P.C. is headquartered in Dallas, Texas, with its main office located at 3102 Oak Lawn Ave #1100, Dallas, TX 75219, USA. This prominent address in Dallas signifies a well-established and substantial legal presence. While specific details about the interior environment of the office are not explicitly provided in public information, the firm's national stature and high-profile cases suggest a sophisticated and professional setting, equipped to handle complex litigation and client needs. The firm also maintains a national presence with offices in Los Angeles, San Diego, New York, Baton Rouge, New Orleans, and Washington, D.C., demonstrating its capacity to manage multi-state and multi-district litigation.

The services provided by Baron & Budd, P.C. are primarily focused on plaintiff litigation, particularly in the areas of mass torts, class actions, and environmental law. The firm has a long-standing and distinguished history, founded in 1977, and is notably recognized for its pioneering work in mesothelioma and asbestos litigation, winning one of the first mesothelioma lawsuits in the 1970s. Their dedication to victims of asbestos exposure continues to be a cornerstone of their practice, having secured numerous significant verdicts and settlements for clients suffering from asbestos-related illnesses.

Beyond asbestos, Baron & Budd's practice areas have expanded considerably to include a diverse range of complex legal issues. These include, but are not limited to:

  • Environmental Contamination: Representing individuals, communities, and public entities impacted by water contamination (e.g., PFAS "forever chemicals," lead, PCBs), air pollution, and other toxic exposures. They have secured landmark settlements in this area, including a $12.5 billion settlement against 3M for PFAS contamination.
  • Dangerous Pharmaceuticals and Medical Devices: Litigating cases involving harmful prescription drugs and defective medical devices that have caused serious health problems.
  • Consumer Class Actions: Addressing deceptive advertising, financial fraud, and other consumer protection issues, such as automotive defects and bank overdraft fees.
  • Whistleblower (Qui Tam) Actions: Representing individuals who report fraud against the government, helping to expose misconduct and recover funds.
  • Serious Accidents: Including truck accidents and other catastrophic personal injury cases.
  • Elder Law: Protecting elderly residents who have suffered abuse, neglect, or financial exploitation in nursing homes or by caregivers.
This wide array of practice areas showcases the firm's versatility and its commitment to holding corporations accountable for harm caused to individuals and the public.

Several features distinguish Baron & Budd, P.C. as a prominent legal entity. Firstly, their national recognition and long history (over 45 years) in complex litigation demonstrate a wealth of experience and expertise. They have consistently been ranked among the "Best Law Firms" by U.S. News – Best Lawyers and have received accolades such as being named to the National Law Journal's prestigious Plaintiffs' "Hot List" multiple times. This external validation from industry peers and publications underscores their legal prowess and success.

Secondly, the firm is known for its aggressive advocacy and willingness to pursue cases all the way to the U.S. Supreme Court, as they did in 1999 to protect the rights of individual mesothelioma patients. This tenacity highlights their commitment to fighting for their clients' rights, even against powerful corporate defendants. Their successful track record, with numerous precedent-setting cases and multi-billion dollar settlements, further solidifies their reputation for achieving significant victories.

However, it is also important to acknowledge that, like any large and busy law firm handling complex cases, client experiences can vary. One review provided suggests concerns about the settlement timeline, communication, and fee structure, describing issues of perceived slowness, lack of updates, and high fees. This highlights the importance of managing client expectations regarding the duration and financial aspects of large-scale litigation. Conversely, another client expressed immense gratitude, stating that the firm was "attentive and there for me," handled everything in their personal injury case, and that "patience will definitely pay off in the end." This latter review underscores that for many, the firm's dedication and hard work ultimately lead to successful outcomes.

Promotional information for Baron & Budd, P.C. would undoubtedly focus on their motto, "Protecting What's Right," emphasizing their dedication to victims of corporate negligence and environmental harm. They would highlight their track record of substantial verdicts and settlements, showcasing their ability to secure significant compensation for their clients. Their long-standing leadership in mesothelioma and asbestos litigation would be a key point, along with their cutting-edge work in environmental contamination cases, such as the PFAS water contamination lawsuits. The firm's deep roots in victim advocacy, combined with their extensive resources and nationwide reach, would also be emphasized to potential clients.

For those in Dallas seeking "Lawyers Near Me" for complex and large-scale legal challenges, particularly in areas of toxic torts, environmental law, and mass personal injury, Baron & Budd, P.C. presents itself as a formidable choice. Their decades of experience, significant legal achievements, and commitment to standing up against powerful entities offer a compelling option for individuals and groups seeking justice and compensation. While the nature of their work often involves lengthy processes, the firm’s history of substantial results suggests that for many clients, their patience is indeed rewarded. I am grateful to have found a firm that was attentive and there for me. Due to the agreements of the settlement I am unable to disclose any information. I can say although, that it was a case involving personal injury. They took care of everything and always kept me updated with any new details. I will say if you are expecting the most you will have to have patience but that patience will definitely pay off in the end. Thank you so much to the lawyers at Barron & Budd for your hard work and determination. I am one happy client.

Very professional, almost intimidatingly so, but it seems that way simply because of the sense of urgency often accompanying their correspondence. I was involved in a very large, high profile lawsuit that is not as of yet concluded. At no point did I feel that any stone was left unturned, these people are thorough. I do recommend them if you have any sort of malpractice , injury or negligence claims.

If zero was presented as an option; zero is definitely warranted! It's now been almost 8 years since I initially hired I just got hit to represent me. I just got hit turned my case over to Baron and Budd without my knowledge as I grieved the loss of my daughter. As I inquired often when I began receiving telephone calls from people I didn't know (Baron and Budd); I was constantly told on many occasions that Baron and Budd worked with I just got hit to only find that they are two separate firms. Initially, the attorney at Baron and Budd assigned to my case, we didn't see eye to eye until I had a meeting with Steve Baron of the firm. For a few months things seemed to be okay until I refused to do some of the things requested by the firm. Subsequently, in January 2019, my relationship with the firm that represented me became very continuous. Intimately, I sent a letter to the presiding Judge & the Bar Association with my concerns and complaints. First; I found that another party had been added to the suit (my daughter's former spouse who happened to have moved on with his life) without my being notified. When I questioned when & why, I was told they were under no obligation to notify me. Secondly; it had been requested of me to forgo the judge's order of settlement monies to place in a collective pot to be distributed amongst all parties listed on the suit which I rejected (I abide by a court's ruling). In addition it had already been explained that my former son in law would NOT be awarded damages since he moved forward with his life, subsequently remarrying within 15 months after the loss of his wife (Loss of consortium). Fourthly; Baron and Budd took it upon themselves to destroy my daughters vehicle without approval to save on storage costs. Due to my daughter's airbags not deploying (Takata failure) the car was no longer available for inspection! Fifth; now that a settlement has been reached, Baron and Budd could not answer simple questions as to when the settlement funds would be made available to me and my daughters estate so I reached out to the state to gain answers that should have been made available through the attorney hired. Here's my opinion from a actual client's prospective; Ultimately, by 2019 the relationship shared with my attornies and I had reached a point of no return. We had reached a point in which I felt that I was an adversary, not a client soley due to my lack of willingness to do as they TOLD me to do instead of doing what I felt was the right thing to do. As of recent, it has become apparent that asking questions regarding this case, at this stage, it has become irritating to the attorney that represented me and my grandsons. Knowing what I do today, I would NOT use this firm ever again nor would I, in good conscious, reccomend this firm to anyone! They only added to the pain and suffering I already endure as a bereaved parent. Again; this is my story and my opinions as it relates

I have been dealing with Baron and Budd since 2015 for a lawsuit with Bayer, every time I call I get an excuse why they are not able to release my settlement monies, it is getting old. They want me to file something that could cost up to 2500.00 to get my monies, when clearly I have had another attorney tell me that it has nothing to do with my case and I don't need to file anything with the courts or waste my monies. So here we are 2022(middle) and I am still waiting for my lawsuit winnings. There staff and trustees do not know the laws in other states and just decide to do whatever they want to not have to pay out the settlement monies or listen to attorneys that have the expertise in the specific area. It is sad as I was severely injured and had to go through something I don't ever wish on anyone. Very disappointed in this attorney's office as here I am 7 years later and nothing as they are holding my monies for a very stupid reason and a reason that should not even be looked at as that was 11 years ago and cleared.
