I recently hired William Bierce for a business dispute I had with my business partner. I found out about his services through the NY Bar which offered a pro-rated 30 minute consultation ($35). I met with William Bierce for the 30 minute consultation which he held over his lunch. During the consultation William said all the things I wanted to hear and charged me a retainer of $4250. Long story short, after a few phone calls, and meeting him at his office several times during his lunch break, he composed one Demand Letter that was not appropriate to send to my business partner as William and I both felt it would not yield the result I wanted, therefore the letter was never sent to my business partner. William billed me $5700 for this service which William then offered a discount to $5000 after me questioning the invoice. William then decided to resign as my council after I questioned whether or not the demand letter he composed was within the strategy he initially outlined. Moral of the story is I paid $5000 for a few phone calls and an improper drafted letter that was never sent. I would not recommend Bierce and Kenerson PC to anyone having a business dispute with their business partner. Bierce and Kenerson PD only wants your money! Update Bierce contacted me and offered to return 50% of the money I paid to remove this post. I asked for the full amount to be returned and never heard back.

The provided information includes a detailed account from a client who engaged the services of William Bierce at Bierce & Kenerson PC for a business dispute with a business partner. This client's experience offers a firsthand perspective on their interaction with the firm. According to the review, the client initially found Mr. Bierce through the NY Bar, which offered a pro-rated 30-minute consultation for $35. Following this consultation, where the client felt Mr. Bierce addressed their concerns favorably, a retainer of $4250 was paid.
The client describes a series of subsequent interactions, including a few phone calls and several meetings at Mr. Bierce's office during his lunch break. Ultimately, the primary tangible outcome of this engagement was the composition of a Demand Letter. However, the client states that both they and Mr. Bierce deemed this letter inappropriate to send to the business partner, as it was not believed to be conducive to achieving the desired result. Consequently, the letter was never sent.
Following these services, the client received an invoice for $5700. After questioning this amount, Mr. Bierce offered a discount, reducing the fee to $5000. Subsequently, the client raised concerns about whether the drafted demand letter aligned with the initially outlined strategy. Following this inquiry, Mr. Bierce decided to resign as their counsel. Adding a further dimension to this account is an update provided by the client.
