This place is a complete Scam! I came here desperate for assistance. I came into the office on 11-18-22 and had a so called “consultation” with Brad Arlen. He listened to my case, asked for a week to review my contract and advised he would get back to me after thanksgiving. And i paid him $150 to basically hear me vent because he gave absolutely no legal advice. I waited to hear back from him but i never received a call. Instead he sent an email but his emails go to spam (go figure). The email said for me to call into the office. I called in for DAYS no answer and when i did finally speak to someone it was a very aggressive defensive and unprofessional front desk lady by the name of Judy. Instead of being helpful she made me feel like i wasn’t a client which how can i be if i haven’t spoken to Brad ? and he won’t communicate with me to know if he would take the case or not. Til this date 1-4-23 i still haven’t heard from Brad Arlen or anyone from this so called “law firm” I feel scammed because i paid money and got NOTHING !!! even if Brad didn’t want to take my case he did not advise me of the next steps or recommend me to another lawyer. Just refused my calls and hid out like a coward. They took my money and then treated me like i was nothing. I will be reporting this to the bar association because lawyers should not be able to take your money and give you no legal advice. Run while you can and go to a professional law firm who won’t ghost you for a measly $150.
For local users seeking legal representation through the "Lawyers Near Me" platform, we present an introduction to Borenstein, McConnell & Calpin, PC, located at 155 Morris Ave STE 201, Springfield, NJ 07081, USA. Situated in Union County, New Jersey, Borenstein, McConnell & Calpin, PC is a law firm that appears to handle various legal matters. However, it is important for prospective clients to carefully consider the information available, including recent client experiences, to make an informed decision about their legal representation.
While specific details about the interior environment of Borenstein, McConnell & Calpin, PC's office in Springfield are not extensively available online, its location on Morris Avenue suggests a professional office space suitable for client consultations. Springfield is a suburban area, and law firms in such locations typically aim to provide accessible services to the local community. The convenience of a nearby law office is a key aspect of the "Lawyers Near Me" platform, and Borenstein, McConnell & Calpin, PC's location serves this purpose for residents and businesses in the Springfield area.
Based on the limited and conflicting reviews from clients, it is challenging to definitively outline the firm's strengths and areas of expertise. One review expresses extreme dissatisfaction with the handling of a consultation by an attorney named Brad Arlen, citing a lack of communication, perceived unprofessionalism from staff, and feeling "scammed" after paying for a consultation that allegedly yielded no legal advice or follow-up. This review raises serious concerns about the firm's client communication and consultation practices.
Conversely, another review offers a positive experience, stating that "Mr. Borenstein and his team excellently handled my case" and that he was "always available." This client specifically mentions receiving "solid advice" that helped resolve an issue with a former client and indicates that the firm will "always be my go-to for business law." This suggests a potential strength in business law matters, at least when working with Mr. Borenstein directly.
Given these contrasting experiences, it is difficult to definitively state the firm's services and features. However, based on the positive review, potential areas of service may include:
Business Law: This appears to be a potential area of strength, with one client expressing satisfaction with the firm's handling of a business-related legal issue.
General Legal Advice and Consultation: While one client reported a negative consultation experience, the positive review suggests that under certain circumstances, the firm can provide solid legal advice.
Case Management and Resolution: The positive review indicates effective case handling and the ability to achieve resolution for clients.
It is crucial for potential clients to weigh both the positive and negative feedback when considering Borenstein, McConnell & Calpin, PC. The stark contrast in experiences suggests a potential inconsistency in service quality or client communication depending on the specific attorney or staff member involved.
The conflicting reviews make it challenging to identify clear features of the firm. The positive review highlights availability and solid advice as key features when working with Mr. Borenstein. However, the negative review points to significant issues with communication, follow-up, and professionalism in at least one instance involving a different attorney and staff member. Therefore, it is difficult to present a unified set of features for the firm as a whole.
Due to the contradictory nature of the client feedback, it is not possible to present objective promotional information. The positive review serves as a form of promotion, highlighting successful case handling and good client service in at least one instance. However, the negative review strongly counteracts this, raising red flags about potential issues with consultations, communication, and professionalism. Prospective clients should consider both perspectives carefully and potentially seek further information or clarification before engaging the firm.
For local residents in Springfield, NJ, and the surrounding areas who are considering Borenstein, McConnell & Calpin, PC for legal assistance, it is strongly recommended to contact the firm at (973) 379-2444 or +1 973-379-2444 to inquire about their specific areas of expertise and to discuss their individual legal needs in detail. It would also be prudent to ask about the attorneys who would be handling their case and potentially request to speak with them directly to gauge their communication style and approach. Given the significant discrepancy in client experiences, thorough due diligence is advised.
In conclusion, Borenstein, McConnell & Calpin, PC, located in Springfield, New Jersey, is a law firm accessible to users of the "Lawyers Near Me" platform. However, the limited online reviews present a mixed picture of client experiences. While one client reported excellent service and a positive outcome in a business law matter with Mr. Borenstein, another client described a highly negative consultation experience with a different attorney and staff, citing a lack of communication and feeling scammed. Prospective local users should carefully consider these contrasting views and conduct thorough due diligence, including direct communication with the firm, before deciding whether to engage their services. The significant inconsistencies in client feedback make it difficult to provide a definitive assessment of the firm's overall quality and reliability.
