I was injured 6 years ago in a bicycle accident. While cycling to work a parked motorist opened their door into the bike lane and I endured a collision. David White of Breakstone, White & Gluck worked with me threw 5 surgeries (1 of which almost killed me), and 6 years of suffering. Over that time, I had countless questions and calls to David that he was able to give me guidance and direction. We ultimately settle the case before court. David was instrumental in the mediation process. He was of immense help to understand the current climate of the case at that time and my expectations. It was difficult for me not to take this personally and not get upset at the defendant as this has changed my life forever. I will likely never be able to cycle again. However, David again was able to help me see "the bottom line and end result" so I could make the best decision as to whether or not to go to trial. I have to mention that David was incredible and changed the entire dynamic of the case as he was able to discover evidence that was "absolute and damming to the defense" that otherwise may have never come to light. Evidence that made this a clear-cut case of their wrongdoing and responsibility. As I have had time to reflect, settling the case was without question the best decision I made with his guidance. It has allowed me to finally put this nightmare behind me. I will never be 100% healthy again but, he was able to hold the other party accountable for their actions giving me some sense of satisfaction. Marc Breakstone is an absolute legend! He's like better call Saul except more badass (and obviously doesn't break the law lol). Marc and his team took care of everything for me. I barely had to lift a finger. And the settlement was FAR above what I was expecting. I found Marc and his firm through a list of the top personal injury firms in Boston after I was injured riding my bike in the bike lane. I decided on Marc and his team after reading the stellar reviews he had on google. I knew I had to add to the list in hopes that it helps someone who finds themselves in a position similar to the one I was in. Marc Breakstone represented me in a personal injury case. I am deeply thankful for attorney Marc Breakstone, his assistant Christine, and everything they was able to do for me and my case: While riding my scooter in a bike lane, a parked car opened their door causing me to crash into it. I suffered a broken hand, a concussion (requiring staples in my scalp), abrasions all over my body, and a hematoma in my leg. I didn’t even wake up til being loaded into the ambulance. While missing work and only being able to do light-duty activities while my arm was in a cast, I attempted calling the person’s car insurance company to try and work things out without a lawyer. They denied my claim stating that scooters were not covered. I became fearful of all my medical bills stacking up and was given Marc’s info as a referral. Immediately, he made me feel better. He explained there there was ample coverage in the person’s policy to take care of all my bills and so to just focus on getting myself healed. My hand required an expensive surgery and PT, and I also needed follow-ups for my head, neck, and leg. After recovering, Marc made sure everything was taken care of. He and his team were so relaxed they put me at ease, true professionals all of them. I would highly recommend him if you have had a scooter/bicycle accident. (And, as he reminded me in the very first phone call, please wear a helmet while riding!) Thank you Marc!
