Words can't describe how happy I am that I used Mr. Perskin. I was in a pretty gnarly situation (to say the least) and from the moment we met, he showed immense confidence, listened to me, and fought super SUPER hard for me. It was a relief and gave me so much satisfaction to see how much he got my back (which i didn't have previously). His communication was A+ and in the end I was able to avoid a trial because of him. He kept me honest, managed my expectations, and also i really loved working with his son Jared, that dude is GOING PLACES! I will recommend Brian to everyone and also has an awesome book! thank you thank you!!

The accessibility of the Court Street address is a notable feature for those seeking legal assistance within Brooklyn.
Based on available information, Brian D. Perskin & Associates appears to handle a variety of legal matters. One client testimonial highlights positive experiences in what was described as a "pretty gnarly situation." This client praised Mr. Perskin's immense confidence, his attentiveness to their concerns, and his determined advocacy. The review specifically mentions his effective communication and the client's satisfaction in avoiding a trial due to Mr. Perskin's efforts. The client also noted Mr. Perskin's honesty and his ability to manage expectations. Furthermore, the positive mention of working with Mr. Perskin's son, Jared, suggests a family-oriented aspect to the practice.
However, it's important to present a balanced perspective, as another review offers a contrasting experience. This reviewer described an initial phone interaction as negative, citing the attorney calling earlier than scheduled, not properly introducing himself, raising his voice, making incorrect assumptions due to interrupting the client's explanation, asking unrelated questions, and treating the client as if they should possess legal process and terminology knowledge. This reviewer explicitly advises against calling the attorney based on this initial interaction.
Considering these two contrasting reviews, it is evident that experiences with Brian D. Perskin & Associates can vary. The positive review emphasizes strong advocacy, effective communication, and the ability to achieve favorable outcomes, including avoiding trial. The negative review, however, raises concerns about initial communication style, attentiveness, and client interaction over the phone.
The positive review also mentions that Brian D. Perskin has an "awesome book," which could be interpreted as a potential resource or a way for him to share his legal insights and expertise. This might be seen as a unique feature of the practice, suggesting a commitment to educating and connecting with clients beyond direct legal representation.
Given the limited information about specific services offered, it is prudent to infer potential practice areas based on the context of client experiences. The mention of handling a "gnarly situation" that ultimately avoided trial suggests experience in complex litigation, potentially within criminal defense or civil disputes. The reference to managing expectations implies experience in guiding clients through challenging legal processes.
While no explicit promotional information such as free consultations or specific areas of specialization are detailed, the positive testimonial itself serves as a form of promotion, highlighting successful outcomes and client satisfaction in at least one instance. The mention of the book could also be a subtle form of promotion, positioning Brian D. Perskin as a knowledgeable authority in his field.

Nov 25, 2024 · Mike RizzoHe called earlier than the appointment scheduled, did introduce himself, raised his voice over the phone, I couldn’t finish to explain the issue and he made wrong assumptions. I had to stop, reset and re-explains from the beginning, like to a 3 y.o. he asked question unrelated to the matter, treated me like I’m supposed to know all the process and terminology.. don’t call him

Nov 28, 2023 · Zaklin officialI hired Brian after meeting him just once. He is a man of integrity who truly believes in the legal system and defies the common stereotypes often attributed to the legal profession. Once I began working with him, he was always well prepared and performed extremely well in the courtroom. His attention to detail, integrity and inherent kindness set him apart and have helped to renew my faith in lawyers. Not only was the outcome better than I expected, I was impressed by Brian's work. I have worked with many lawyers in the past, and most of them have left me feeling frustrated. Not only did he keep me well informed with letters and copies of all correspondence, Brian returned every call I made to him within hours. I would recommend Brian to anyone I know! Jeffrey M.
Aug 01, 2014 · Jeffrey M.I was a wreck when I walked into Brian’s office. A divorce was the last thing I expected; on top of that, the last thing I expected was that I’d need a divorce lawyer. But my wife had one, and unfortunately her lawyer mirrored her anger. After meeting with five other lawyers, I walked into Brian’s office for a consultation. He listened to me, saw my distress, understood my concerns – being a man, notably a man of color, who loved his children dearly and cared about nothing else except shared custody, a chance to be the father I wasn’t able to be while married. Fearing tender-year court rulings, Brian comforted me, gave me the facts, promised me that eventually my wife, who wanted sole custody, would come over to my side. That was all I needed to hear. The firm worked behind the scenes, while I tried my best to work through my trauma of divorce, attempt to piece together an idea of what my future was going to look like. I was forewarned by Brian that a contested divorce would be expensive, especially since we had property and young kids. She had lawyer and were building a case against me. I worked in education and didn’t make much money. Brian was pragmatic, but excited about the opportunity to help, recognizing that all I wanted was to have equal time with my kids. Brian defended me to the point that he and my wife’s lawyer became like oil and water. After our first court appearance, Evan, a partner at Perskin and Associates, was added. Evan was calm, personable, with a knack for persuasion. While Brian brought the fight and energy and experience, Evan brought negotiation to the table. He was able to temper the tension between his firm and my wife’s lawyer in order to move past the anger and accusations and focus on the matter at hand: custody. Evan’s attention to detail was greatly appreciated. He ability to talk me down when I felt the need to react and defend myself was important. He was honest with me, told me things I didn’t want to hear and didn’t believe but ultimately was what was best. Like Brian he defended me tirelessly also, while reminding my wife’s attorney that neither he or she as our counsel were never present in our marriage and for that the truth was hearsay, and that all I wanted was equal time with my kids. Brian and Evan together did the work needed. Their knowledge and experience was unquestionable. Weeks would go by and I wouldn’t hear anything from them but there was always progress. I appreciated having a firm I trusted enough that I didn’t care to be involved in the minutia of my case or engage in the mudslinging coming from my ex's corner. Stay the course, was how we approached my divorce, and I am more than happy with the outcome. The settlement they got for me was worth every single penny. Highly recommended.
