I live in a ridiculously small town in the Texas Panhandle. I had a dispute with the Appraisers office related to an Ag Exemption for my property. Despite the Texas Tax Appraisal code saying I qualified, the appraiser’s office refused to grant the exemption. I was either told the attorney did not take tax cases or the attorney sometimes did work for the county in which I was appealing, and he/she did not want any conflicts of interest.
