They served my mother papers on a Friday and said she had 3 days to respond. She wasn’t home that Friday and of course the courts close on Saturday and Sunday and boom Monday they gained access to her bank account and took the money. My mother lost her job last year and is living on a fixed income. No attempts by this firm were ever made to her to resolve the balance before they took it upon themselves to take her limited income. The IRS helped her and were great the state of Ohio however has been a joke. And these people disgust me. They don’t care about people and situations or do the right thing.

Location and Accessibility

For any legal matter, the location of an attorney’s office plays a practical role in accessibility for clients. Mary S. Carducci's office is located at 150 E Mound St Suite 308, Columbus, OH 43215, USA. This address places her practice within the central business district of Columbus, a hub for many professional services and governmental offices. Being in downtown Columbus, the office is generally accessible for residents across the city and surrounding areas of Franklin County.

The East Mound Street location offers connectivity to major roadways and public transportation. For individuals traveling by car, downtown Columbus provides various parking options, including street parking and public garages, though availability and cost can vary. It’s always advisable to plan your parking in advance if driving. For those utilizing public transit, the Central Ohio Transit Authority (COTA) operates numerous bus routes that serve the downtown area, with stops likely within walking distance of 150 E Mound St. This makes the office relatively convenient for clients who rely on public transport from different parts of Columbus.

The office's suite number, 308, indicates its presence within a larger office building, a common setup for legal practices in urban centers. This central location in a professional building signifies a formal and established practice setting, which is typical for legal firms handling various types of cases within the Ohio legal system.

Services Offered

Based on the provided customer reviews, Mary S. Carducci's practice appears to be involved in legal matters concerning debt collection and issues with the State of Ohio Department of Taxation. Public records further indicate her representation of the State of Ohio Department of Tax and the State of Ohio Department of Transportation in legal proceedings. While a comprehensive list of all services is not explicitly available, the nature of these activities suggests that her practice areas likely include:

  • Collections Law: The reviews specifically mention action taken to "gain access to her bank account and took the money" and suing for a "balance that has already been paid off." This strongly indicates a focus on debt collection, likely representing creditors or entities seeking to recover outstanding balances. This could involve pursuing legal action, garnishments, or other enforcement mechanisms.

  • Tax Litigation/Disputes (State of Ohio): One review explicitly states that the individual "paid off my taxes to the State of Ohio, and I got a letter in the mail a couple of days ago that they are suing me for the balance that has already been paid off weeks ago." Public records also confirm her representation of the State of Ohio Department of Tax. This points to her involvement in tax-related legal disputes, potentially representing the state in efforts to collect overdue taxes or responding to challenges related to tax assessments.

  • General Civil Litigation (representing state agencies): Her representation of the State of Ohio Department of Transportation in some public records suggests involvement in broader civil litigation matters on behalf of state governmental entities. This could include a range of issues from contractual disputes to property matters where a state agency is a party.

Given the nature of the reviews, it's important for Ohio residents to be aware that her practice appears to frequently represent creditors or state agencies in collection efforts and tax-related matters. Individuals who are facing legal action from the State of Ohio or other entities regarding debts or taxes may encounter her firm as the opposing counsel.

Features / Highlights

Based on the provided information, the features and highlights of Mary S. Carducci's legal practice, particularly from the perspective of external observers or those who have interacted with the firm, appear to be centered around her role in representing state agencies and debt collection efforts. While positive testimonials from other types of clients are not provided, the existing reviews offer specific insights:

  • Representation of State Agencies: Public records indicate that Mary S. Carducci has represented entities such as the State of Ohio Department of Tax and the State of Ohio Department of Transportation. This highlights her involvement in legal matters on behalf of governmental bodies within Ohio.

  • Involvement in Collections and Garnishment: The client reviews prominently feature instances of active debt collection, including the freezing or taking of funds from bank accounts. This suggests a firm that is proactive in pursuing enforcement actions for its clients, often involving garnishments or other legal means to recover debts.

  • Focus on Recovering Balances: The nature of the described interactions implies a primary objective of recovering outstanding balances, whether related to taxes or other debts, on behalf of the entities she represents.

  • Strict Adherence to Legal Procedures: The reviews, while expressing frustration, describe processes that appear to follow legal protocols (e.g., serving papers, court dates, gaining access to accounts). This suggests adherence to procedural requirements in legal actions.

It is important for Ohio residents to understand that these highlights, based on the provided reviews, describe the firm's approach from the perspective of those against whom legal action has been taken. Therefore, these features are presented as factual observations of the firm's role in the legal landscape of Ohio.

Promotions or Special Offers

In the legal field, particularly for attorneys representing governmental bodies or engaging in debt collection, traditional "promotions" or "special offers" similar to those in retail are not standard practice. Ethical guidelines for lawyers generally prohibit such marketing. Moreover, the nature of the legal work for entities like the State of Ohio or creditors does not typically involve offering discounted services to the public who are the subject of collection efforts.

Therefore, it is highly unlikely that Mary S. Carducci's firm would offer any "promotions" in the conventional sense to individuals or entities that are facing legal action from the State of Ohio or other clients her firm represents in collection or enforcement capacities. Her role, based on the provided information, is to represent the interests of her clients (e.g., the State of Ohio) in recovering outstanding obligations or resolving disputes, rather than to attract individuals seeking legal defense through promotional deals.

Any fees associated with legal processes initiated by or involving her firm would typically be governed by standard legal practices and court-ordered costs, rather than promotional pricing. Individuals who are contacted by this firm regarding a debt or legal matter should focus on understanding their legal rights and obligations, and potentially seek independent legal counsel, rather than expecting promotional offers.

Contact Information

For individuals in Ohio who may need to contact Mary S. Carducci's office, whether in response to legal notices or for other related inquiries, the following contact details are available:

Given the sensitivity of legal matters, it is crucial to verify the most direct and current contact method.

When contacting a law office, especially if you are responding to legal papers, it is advisable to have any relevant case numbers, account numbers, and copies of documents readily available. Clearly state the purpose of your call or correspondence. If you are the subject of legal action from a state agency or a collection effort, it is often prudent to consult with your own independent legal counsel to understand your rights and potential defenses.

Her active engagement in these areas, as indicated by public records and client experiences, suggests a firm that diligently pursues the objectives of its clients in these specific domains.

This law office is the worst!! I paid off my taxes to the State of Ohio, and I got a letter in the mail a couple of days ago that they are suing me for the balance that has already been paid off weeks ago. This place is evil, and the people are so rude and nasty to work with!!

In my opinion, I question if this place is not a scam, they are bottom suckers and in my opinion, represent all that is wrong with lawyers. I suppose if you cannot make real money practicing law then you collect money for the state. The state attorney general's office and this firm go great together, both highly unprofessional and near impossible to deal or work with, in my opinion.
