This guy Matt, Julie our management company manager called him while we were in an HOA meeting to remove the HOA board. He wrote a letter to our management company for us to get a meeting and a vote to remove or keep them. He sat in the front to the side totally detached. When asked a question he got up answering to Matby Julie as I said read something the management company manger showed him, I’m not sure he read it. Then he sat down. He said the bills say you can’t vote. We paid him $1,800 for nothing. What a waste of money. I don’t know why he came he want engaged. I guess to show his face for $1,800. I would have rather have seen Steve Harvey’s face a fake judge on TV. I wish there was a -1 rating!
Welcome to Carlton Law, a legal practice located at 125 Clairemont Ave Suite 470 in Decatur, Georgia. For users of the "Lawyers Near Me" platform seeking legal services in the Decatur area, Carlton Law offers a local point of contact. This introduction aims to provide an objective overview of the firm based on the limited and somewhat conflicting information available from online reviews. We will focus on the location, the services as implied by the reviews, and the contrasting client experiences.
Carlton Law's office is situated in a suite on Clairemont Avenue in Decatur, within the 30030 zip code. This location in a professional building suggests that the firm is equipped to handle client meetings and legal casework. The Decatur area is a well-established community with a mix of residential and commercial properties, making Carlton Law potentially accessible to a diverse range of clients seeking legal assistance. The specific ambiance or features of the office environment are not detailed in the provided reviews, so we cannot comment on those aspects.
Based on the two client reviews available, the services offered by Carlton Law appear to include representation and consultation in matters related to Homeowners Associations (HOAs) and potentially other areas of law. One review describes a situation where the attorney, identified as Matt (presumably associated with Carlton Law), was contacted to assist an HOA board in their efforts to be removed. This suggests that Carlton Law may offer services to HOAs or homeowners dealing with HOA-related legal issues, such as governance, meetings, and voting procedures. The fact that the attorney wrote a letter to the management company indicates experience in communicating and negotiating with management entities on behalf of clients involved in HOA disputes. However, the negative outcome reported by this client also implies that the firm's involvement did not lead to the desired result in this particular case.
The second review offers a contrasting perspective, highlighting the firm's responsiveness. This client specifically praised the attorney for answering their call directly and providing immediate assistance by answering their question right away. This suggests that Carlton Law may prioritize client accessibility and offer prompt initial consultations. This responsiveness could be a significant feature for individuals seeking immediate legal guidance or who have experienced difficulties in scheduling consultations with other attorneys.
One of the features implied by the negative review is the firm's willingness to engage in HOA-related disputes, including advising on procedures for meetings and votes. However, the client's dissatisfaction stems from the perceived lack of engagement and the outcome of the attorney's involvement, suggesting that the firm's approach in this specific instance was not effective in achieving the client's goals. The client's statement that they paid for "nothing" indicates a significant disconnect between their expectations and the services rendered.
In contrast, the positive review emphasizes the reliability and responsibility of the attorney, particularly highlighting the direct accessibility via phone. This suggests that Carlton Law may offer a more direct line of communication with their attorney compared to firms where initial contact is often through administrative staff. This feature could be particularly appealing to clients who value direct interaction with their legal counsel from the outset.
The conflicting nature of these two reviews makes it challenging to definitively characterize the overall client experience with Carlton Law. One client felt that the service provided was a waste of money and that the attorney was disengaged, while the other praised the attorney's responsiveness and willingness to provide immediate assistance. This disparity underscores the importance for potential clients to consider that individual experiences can vary and that a small sample of reviews may not provide a complete picture of a firm's capabilities and client satisfaction levels across all types of cases.
There is no specific promotional information available for Carlton Law in the provided data. We do not know if they offer free initial consultations, have specific fee structures, or highlight any particular successes or specializations beyond what can be inferred from the limited reviews. Local users interested in learning more about the firm's fees or any potential promotions should contact them directly.
For local users in Decatur, GA, searching for "Lawyers Near Me," Carlton Law at 125 Clairemont Ave Suite 470 is a local option to consider. However, the available reviews present a mixed picture. While one client appreciated the attorney's responsiveness, another expressed significant dissatisfaction with the handling of an HOA-related matter. Potential clients should weigh these contrasting experiences and consider contacting Carlton Law directly to discuss their specific legal needs and to determine if the firm's expertise and approach align with their expectations. It may also be beneficial to seek additional reviews or references if available to gain a more comprehensive understanding of the firm's reputation and service quality.
In conclusion, Carlton Law in Decatur, GA, appears to offer legal services that may include HOA-related matters and prides itself on being responsive to inquiries. However, the limited client feedback presents divergent experiences, with one client expressing strong dissatisfaction and another praising the attorney's accessibility. Potential clients should conduct thorough due diligence and direct communication with the firm to assess whether Carlton Law meets their specific legal requirements and expectations.

Apr 14, 2025 · CK NgWe had an excellent experience with Mr. Carlton. He was very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Our case went to mediation and he did a great job helping us navigate through that process. I hope we never need a lawyer again, but if we do, I would definitely call Mr. Carlton again!
Feb 07, 2024 · Barbara GrantCarlton Law helped us a resolve our case efficiently, quickly and effectively. Matt was responsive, easy to work with and he represented us very well. Would strongly recommend their services.
Jun 27, 2024 · John FHired him for an eviction case for a family member who speaks limited English and was charged double for their rent. He went to court and didn’t contest any of the charges which leaves them with a judgment paying double for the rent and now they’re out extra money for even hiring him. Waste of money.
