I’m not sure what location I was dealing with because everything was by phone and e-mail. But they strung me along for 9 months! I provided all documentation they requested for them to tell me after months and months that they could not handle my bankruptcy due to some property I have out of state. That’s fine but I told them this upfront and had the lawyer handling this property contact Clark&Washington to give them everything they requested. Why they played games with me for 9 months is beyond me and so unprofessional. I could’ve went somewhere else and been done with it. I’ll never recommend this law firm to nobody! What a waste of time!
For individuals in the Decatur, Georgia area seeking legal representation through platforms like "Lawyers Near Me," it is essential to consider a comprehensive view of potential legal counsel. Clark & Washington Attorneys and Counselors at Law, located at 4280 Memorial Dr, Decatur, GA 30032, USA, is one such firm that warrants examination based on recent client feedback available online. Understanding these experiences can help local users make informed decisions when choosing legal representation.
One client review details a significantly negative experience with Clark & Washington, although the specific location dealt with was unclear as communication occurred primarily via phone and email. This client alleges a protracted engagement lasting nine months, during which they provided all requested documentation for a bankruptcy case. Ultimately, they were informed that the firm could not handle their case due to out-of-state property holdings. While the inability to handle the specific case might be justifiable, the client expresses strong dissatisfaction with the delay, stating that this information was disclosed upfront, and their lawyer handling the out-of-state property even contacted Clark & Washington with the necessary details. The reviewer describes the nine-month delay as "playing games" and "unprofessional," emphasizing the lost time and opportunity to seek legal assistance elsewhere. Consequently, this client states they would never recommend the firm.
Another client review echoes a similarly negative sentiment, describing their experience as "horrible" and feeling "scammed." This reviewer claims that Clark & Washington took their money, but after three weeks, their case had not been filed, and they were met with evasive responses or delays ("the run around"). This account raises serious concerns about the firm's efficiency in processing cases and their communication with clients regarding the status of their legal matters. The feeling of being scammed suggests a significant breakdown in trust and service delivery, leading to a highly unfavorable perception of the firm.
Based on the limited information available from these two recent client reviews, it is challenging to ascertain specific details about the typical office environment of Clark & Washington Attorneys and Counselors at Law. However, the experiences shared suggest potential issues with communication, responsiveness, and the efficient handling of client matters. The first review indicates a lack of proactive communication and a significant delay in determining the firm's ability to take on a case. The second review points to a failure to take timely action on a case after receiving payment and a lack of transparent communication regarding the delay. These accounts may suggest an internal environment that struggles with organization or client communication, at least in the experiences of these particular reviewers.
The services mentioned in the context of these reviews relate to bankruptcy law. The first client specifically sought assistance with a bankruptcy case involving out-of-state property. The firm's eventual declination of the case, after a significant delay, suggests that their expertise or capacity in handling bankruptcies with out-of-state assets may be limited. The second review does not specify the type of case, but the complaint about the lack of filing after three weeks indicates a potential issue with the firm's intake and processing procedures across different legal matters. It is important for potential clients to inquire specifically about the firm's areas of expertise and their processes for handling cases in their particular legal needs.
Several potential features of Clark & Washington Attorneys and Counselors at Law can be inferred from the negative feedback, although these are presented as shortcomings. One apparent feature, based on the first review, is a potentially lengthy intake or evaluation process that may not promptly identify limitations in their ability to handle a case. Another is a potential lack of clear and timely communication with clients regarding the progress or any impediments to their case. The second review suggests a possible inefficiency in the initial stages of case processing, with a delay in filing despite payment. These points highlight areas where potential clients may want to seek clarification and assurances regarding the firm's operational practices and client communication protocols.
The provided information does not include any promotional offers or statements from Clark & Washington Attorneys and Counselors at Law. Therefore, an objective introduction must rely solely on the available client feedback. The absence of positive reviews in this limited dataset suggests a need for potential clients to exercise caution and consider these experiences when making their decision. It would be prudent to seek additional information, such as reviews from other sources or direct consultation with the firm, to gain a more comprehensive understanding of their services and client relations.
In conclusion, the recent online feedback for Clark & Washington Attorneys and Counselors at Law, located on Memorial Dr in Decatur, GA, presents significant concerns regarding their handling of bankruptcy cases and general case processing. One client reported a lengthy and ultimately unsuccessful engagement for a bankruptcy matter, citing poor communication and wasted time. Another client expressed feeling scammed due to a lack of action on their case after payment and receiving evasive responses. These experiences suggest potential issues with the firm's efficiency, communication, and client service. Local users searching for legal representation in the "Lawyers Near Me" category should carefully consider these accounts and conduct thorough due diligence before engaging Clark & Washington Attorneys and Counselors at Law for their legal needs.

Aug 04, 2023 · N SHorrible, I feel like I got scammed. They took my money, but still 3 weeks later, my case had not be filed and I was given the run around.
Sep 16, 2024 · Kimberly LockettVery unprofessional. Do not use them. They will cause bigger problems than you already started with. They NEVER sent my paperwork off the the debtors and it causes me a huge problem. My checking account got locked and they lied to the credit bureau and told them I never filled out the paperwork when I went up there in person and signed everything in person. If you know what’s good for you, don’t use this company. When I called them, the representative hung up on me and then turned around and placed me on hold when i called back.
Oct 15, 2020 · Rose BrownI don’t recommend them to anyone. I am being garnished because they failed to communicate properly and when I reached out to my attorney he told me that I should have communicated better. I trusted them with my case because I didn’t understand the process for filing bankruptcy and now they aren’t willing to help or assist in any way.
Feb 05, 2020 · Deborah PerdueIt is now time for law. Watch them retrieve their sacred forks from the ebony walls. Slip slop goes the goose flesh as they place the horrid poultry against their silver teeth. The law has begun.
