I wasn’t satisfied with their service. I reaffirmed the debt with my car. I was never informed that the company didn’t file the paper work for reaffirmation till after the bankruptcy was discharged. Although, I was warned by one of the paralegals that the bank I was doing business with were terrible about reaffirmations no one took the time to tell me that the car debt was never reaffirmed. The attorney can’t make the other party file the paper work but I wish the lawyer would have been more attentive in educating me on what was going on. Now I’m paying on a car that’s not helping my credit and I’m also paying them. When I called to talk to the attorney they said it’s $260 to see him and I’m already paying monthly installments of $170. The whole point in hiring an attorney is for them to educate us about the law so we can see the whole picture and make the best decision. They have so many clients that they are not attentive to each individual case. They don’t care about your case at all. All these people want is your money and to get you in and out. It also depends on the paralegal you are assigned to. Some were helpful while others rushed through the process. I honestly should have filed my bankruptcy on my own.

It is important for potential clients to consider the experiences of past clients when choosing a legal representative. The following introduction is based solely on the provided customer reviews.
Based on the available feedback, some clients have expressed significant dissatisfaction with the services provided by Clark & Washington Attorneys and Counselors at Law. One client detailed an experience related to a car debt reaffirmation during bankruptcy proceedings. This client reported not being informed that the necessary paperwork for reaffirmation was not filed until after the bankruptcy discharge. Despite a paralegal mentioning potential issues with the involved bank's handling of reaffirmations, the client stated that no one explicitly informed them that their car debt was never reaffirmed. As a result, the client found themselves paying for a car that was not positively impacting their credit, in addition to paying the law firm. When the client attempted to discuss this with the attorney, they were reportedly told there would be a $260 consultation fee, on top of their ongoing monthly payments to the firm. This client felt that the firm was not attentive to individual cases due to a high volume of clients and that the primary focus appeared to be on financial transactions rather than thorough legal education and guidance. They also noted inconsistencies in the helpfulness of different paralegals within the firm, with some being rushed.
Another review described a highly negative experience involving a property sale. This client alleged that the firm took their money but waited until 29 minutes before the property sale to file the case. Subsequently, the client was informed that they would receive a refund and that the firm was withdrawing from the case, advising them to find new counsel urgently. According to this review, despite the client faxing information two days prior, they were later told that the withdrawal was finalized on the day of the call. The client also claimed that the firm's actions had negatively impacted their accounts with creditors. As of the time of the review, the client reported not having received the promised refund, which had been outstanding for over 30 days. This reviewer strongly advised others against dealing with the firm, referring to them as "ripoff people" who frequently transfer calls and where no one wants to provide their name, implying a lack of accountability.
Given these two customer reviews, the overall sentiment expressed is one of significant dissatisfaction regarding the attentiveness, communication, and outcomes experienced with Clark & Washington Attorneys and Counselors at Law. Potential clients using the "Lawyers Near Me" platform should carefully consider these experiences when evaluating whether to engage this firm for their legal needs.

Jan 23, 2024 · S D.I would not recommend this place to anyone that does not really have the information they need I file bankruptcy. They are very unprofessional and they seem to rush you through the process. The first people that answers the phone is extremely rude. All I wanted was a little more education on my case and they don’t want to help you at all. They don’t even want you to speak to the lawyers or paralegal on the case.
