Promotions or Special Offers

The provision of legal services is highly individualized, based on the unique complexities and sensitive nature of each client's family or elder law matter.

However, prospective clients can generally expect transparent discussions regarding fee structures during their initial consultation. Common fee arrangements in family and elder law often include:

  • Hourly Rates: This is a prevalent fee structure where attorneys bill for their time at a specified hourly rate. The total cost will depend on the amount of time spent on the case.
  • Retainer Fees: An initial sum is often requested and held in a client trust account, from which legal fees are drawn as services are rendered. This ensures legal work can commence and continue.
  • Consultation Fees: While some firms offer free initial consultations, others may charge a fee for an in-depth first meeting to discuss the specifics of a case and provide preliminary advice. It is advisable to clarify this when scheduling.

Collins Family & Elder Law Group is committed to ensuring that clients fully understand the financial aspects of their legal representation from the outset. They prioritize open communication to establish a clear and mutually agreeable financial arrangement. The team at Collins Law was extremely welcoming and attentive. My attorney, Monica Schuring, was fantastic. She was extremely professional and responsive throughout the entire (nearly half year) process. Her communication was superb - she explained the options and process and walked me through every step. She was quick to call out potential risks and proactively make suggestions. She helped me navigate a tricky situation and we made it to the other side with a positive outcome!

Mrs. Shayna Matheny was so very helpful and understanding to my situation. She was knowledgeable and took the time to listen to me and make sure that I knew all of my options and what I was entitled to at every turn. She was more than my lawyer during this process and I’d recommend and use her over again. Thank you so much! I wish you all many blessings in the future! 🩷

Waste no more time, Monica Schuring is the attorney to hire. I worked with Monica for a extremely high conflict custody battle. After being disheartened and frustrated by the process to address modifying custody with an abusive ex, I came to her in desperation after previously working with another firm who appeared to keep steering me away from the inevitable litigation process. During the consult, she already had a plan and started taking immediate action. Throughout my entire process, she was responsive, compassionate and professional. She worked closely with me, the GAL and my children's therapist to ensure my children's best interest was always put first. She took over communicating with my narcissistic ex and allowed me to regain my strength to keep fighting for what was best for my children. She took time to carefully go through years of evidence to prepare for trial and was the SHARK I needed to address the true concerns of emotional abuse toward my children. She represented me well, kept me focused and confident. After a 2.5 day trial, I was granted full custody, modified visits, increase in child support and awarded attorney fees. Most importantly, the changes needed to protect my children. I am beyond grateful to have found Monica and would recommend her to anyone needing someone to advocate for them and their children.

Madison and Katie were such a pleasure work with! They made a lot of the difficulties involved very easy and always kept me well informed through everything. I can’t thank them enough or give enough praise as they deserve!
