I don’t normally write reviews for lawyers but after my experience with the Esfandi Law Group I felt I should. I cannot recommend Esfandi Law Group enough. From the moment I reached out to them, I felt confident that I was in good hands. They were professional, responsive, and genuinely cared about my case. In the courtroom, Sepi Esfandi was calm, strategic, and delivered a compelling argument that ultimately led to a positive outcome for me. Absolutely terrible. Seppi is an unethical, unprofessional, scam-artist attorney. I am reporting him to the State Bar for malpractice and also going to mandatory fee arbitration to get thousands of dollars in fees refunded to me. I have also reported him to the Better Business Bureau, with which he as an F rating. I was in a low, scared, and vulnerable place and was also sick when I googled an attorney and called Seppi, and he took advantage of my state. He requested thousands of dollars from me up-front, without any consultation or explanation, and I paid, desperate and scared. Big mistake. There are many good attorneys out there, and you also have the right to a public defender if you do not have money. Two days after our initial conversation and payment, he called and lied to me about it being good for my case if he filed something called "a plea in absentia" for which he charged me an additional $2000. I believed him and paid, but this was a scam, as there was never even any such filing made with the court. Weeks later, his office suddenly sent me a contract that showed the original amount I paid plus the $2000 for the plea in absentia filing as one lump sum payment for an original retainer. This was also a lie and a scam, which covered up for the fact that the $2000 was actually a separate charge at a later date for a different purpose. I had no idea what was happening as I'd never before needed an attorney and just wanted to trust my attorney to take care of my case. I then waited for three months in the dark not knowing what Seppi was doing, and then told I had to appear in court, even though Seppi had sold me the "plea in absentia" which was supposed to prevent me from having to appear in court, but was actually fake. Seppi repeatedly ignored my questions, calls, emails, and even official messages on his portal requesting information and documents about my case, the process, and what he was doing. Seppi had also assigned another attorney to my case without telling me, and this person was listed as my attorney of record with the court, but I was never notified of any of this. When my brother, who is also an attorney, called this mysterious attorney of record listed for my case, she said that she no longer worked for Seppi and hung up the phone. We then had to call Seppi's office several times after not getting any responses to messages on his office portal or emails, to try to get an answer as to what was happening and why this person who no longer works for him or represents me is listed as my attorney of record. We still got no answer. We also requested the documents pertaining to my case from his office, and they did not share them with us or even respond to our requests. Months later, Seppi had still never removed that mysterious attorney as the attorney of record or sent me any of the documents I'd requested. All of these months, I was scared, worried, in a state of total stress and darkness, about what was happening in my case. Six months later, after I discovered what was truly happening, I finally got the documents for my case from his secretary and when I reviewed them, I realized that Seppi had never shared with me critical details from the discovery documents that would have made a big difference in my case. I don't think Seppi ever fully reviewed the documents, police report, or evidence in my case because when I brought very important details to his attention, he had no idea what I was talking about. He also promised he would negotiate things that he never did and take actions that he never did. Protect yourself from this firm, and do not give them your money or trust.

Everyone makes mistakes and sometimes those mistakes can really affect you and the family that depends on you. I was really worried my case would cost me and my family a lot financially and logistically. Mr. Esfandi worked his magic and got the results I needed to continue my life. As soon as we met and started discussing my case I felt like a truckload of weight had been lifted off my shoulder. I know I won't be in this situation again but I'm glad Esfandi Law Group was there to help me through it. I highly recommend them.

Extremely professional, and answered every single one of my phone calls or at the least updated me with what was going on. Even after court he helped me figure out some DMV red tape etc. very nice and affordable.
