Trisha Friedeberg withheld the fact I was co-trustee until one week before an ex parte hearing setup by my brother’s attorney Deborah L. Fox. She failed to give me trust documents 5 months earlier when she was court appointed to represent my mother, denying me due process. She displayed bias against me stating that it “would be better if the alternate served instead of me, because we did not get along”, referring to my brother who our mom designated we serve equally as co-trustees. Trisha Friedeberg was a stranger and her decision to ignore who my mother wanted to serve as co-trustee was a personal opinion not warranted and displayed to me her focus was negligent in her duty towards her client, my mother. It was Trisha Friedeberg’s duty time insured that I served not go along with what opposing counsel client wanted. It was her duty to protect my mother’s choice of me serving as co-trustee. Friedeberg poor judgment to go along with my brother’s need to control the estate recklessly with self serving agenda violated the trust. Friedeberg was fired, but it was too late. Friedeberg still was paid over $8,000. Friedeberg never filed one petition my mother requested to removed her son as conservator. Stay out of probate court if possible. Attorneys rack up easy money filing fees for administrative services, telephone calls and emails back and forth to each other against your estate. Your money. She displayed a willful choice to ignore my mother’s first choice of co-trustees. My mother suffered and died neglected alone and abandon because I was unable to serve and protect her because Trisha Friedeberg denied me due process. My experience with this woman was she treated me with disrespect not informing me of my legal authority. Her cold and snobbish attitude she displayed towards me was unwarranted, unjust and baffling. Most times she always had polite excuses why she didn’t return my calls on behalf of mom in a timely manner. With the pandemic now, estates are being affected. As a Black disabled senior, I would not recommend this attorney. You know when you have been cheated and denied your rights. The attorneys have the advantage. Be careful. We have filed a complaint with the state bar is still under review. There are excellent jurisprudent attorneys. Don’t get caught up in the accolades of the titles, members of this board etc. what is important is if they are honest and trustworthy and protect your interest as hired to do. My opinion of the probate attorneys are overpaid clerks some chose to manipulate the law not abide by the law for financial gain. Set up a trust, work together: stay out of probate court.

Friedeberg Trisha Introduce

This profile provides information for local users in San Francisco seeking legal counsel and who may be considering Friedeberg Trisha, whose office is located at 235 Montgomery St #1220, San Francisco, CA 94104, USA. Her phone number is (415) 974-5715, and the mobile phone number is +1 415-974-5715. As a listing in the "Lawyers Near Me" category, it is important for potential clients to have access to available information to make informed decisions about their legal representation.

The following information is derived directly from a review provided by a real customer detailing their experience with Friedeberg Trisha. It is crucial for prospective clients to carefully consider this feedback when evaluating whether to engage her services. The review expresses significant concerns regarding the handling of a probate and conservatorship matter.

According to the review, the client alleges that Trisha Friedeberg withheld the fact that the client was a co-trustee until one week before an ex parte hearing initiated by the client's brother's attorney. The client further states that Friedeberg failed to provide trust documents five months prior, at a time when she was reportedly court-appointed to represent the client's mother, which the client believes denied them due process.

The review also indicates an alleged bias on the part of Friedeberg, stating that she expressed the opinion that it would be better if the alternate trustee (the client's brother) served instead of the client, purportedly because of a strained relationship between the brothers. The client points out that their mother had designated them to serve equally as co-trustees, and Friedeberg's preference allegedly disregarded their mother's wishes.

The reviewing client describes Friedeberg as a stranger whose decision to seemingly ignore the mother's stated preference for co-trustees was a personal opinion that the client deemed unwarranted and indicative of negligence in her duty towards her client, the mother. The client asserts that Friedeberg had a duty to ensure the client served as co-trustee, aligning with the mother's wishes, and not to align with the opposing counsel's client's desires.

The review further alleges that Friedeberg's poor judgment in seemingly supporting the brother's desire for control over the estate, allegedly with a self-serving agenda, violated the trust. The client reports that Friedeberg was ultimately terminated but was still paid over $8,000. A significant point of concern raised in the review is the allegation that Friedeberg never filed a single petition requested by the mother to remove her son (the reviewing client's brother) as conservator.

Based on this experience, the reviewing client strongly advises others to avoid probate court if possible, suggesting that attorneys may accrue substantial fees for administrative tasks, phone calls, and emails, potentially depleting the estate's assets. This sentiment reflects a broader concern about the costs associated with probate proceedings.

The client reiterates the allegation that Friedeberg willfully chose to disregard the mother's initial choice of co-trustees, which the client believes led to the mother suffering and dying neglected, alone, and abandoned because the client was allegedly prevented from serving and protecting her due to Friedeberg's actions that denied due process.

The reviewing client's personal experience with Friedeberg reportedly involved feeling treated with disrespect and not being informed of their legal authority. The client describes Friedeberg's demeanor as cold and snobbish, which they found unwarranted, unjust, and baffling. They also mention frequent polite excuses for delayed responses to calls made on behalf of the mother.

The review concludes with a cautionary note, particularly for vulnerable individuals such as Black disabled seniors, advising against recommending this attorney based on the described experiences of feeling cheated and denied their rights. The client emphasizes the power imbalance between attorneys and clients and urges caution when navigating legal matters, particularly in probate court. They also mention that a complaint was filed with the state bar and is currently under review.

The reviewing client advises others to look beyond accolades and focus on whether an attorney is honest, trustworthy, and will genuinely protect the client's interests. Their opinion of some probate attorneys is critical, suggesting they may be overpaid and potentially manipulate the law for financial gain. The review ends with a recommendation to establish a trust and work collaboratively to avoid probate court altogether.

Given the detailed and serious nature of the allegations presented in this review, potential clients considering Friedeberg Trisha for legal representation, particularly in probate, estate planning, or conservatorship matters, are strongly encouraged to conduct their own thorough due diligence. This may include seeking additional information from other sources, such as online reviews from various platforms, and considering consulting with other attorneys to obtain a broader perspective. It is essential to feel confident and secure in your choice of legal counsel, especially in sensitive and complex legal areas.
