Bryan is typical of the type of people these business’s hire sadly there has to be someone to fit these roles !!! This is a law firm who buys debt and then collects on it - it’s predatory, human-less and greedy !! Not sure what else they may do there but any one seeking legal advice stay away !! There are plenty of other attorneys out there that have no part in these practices ... they garnished my pay for a debt from 2008!!! Was told you paid it then stopped why ???! What ??? I don’t remember obviously life happened ! I have divorced and remarried since then seriously !!! I asked to settle the debt in full that day for a fair portion of the remaining balance -even though i had no recollection of this and I must have thought it was paid obviously so long ago who knows !!! I was denied the request !! I will also be going out to the Better Business Bureau and The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau etc...
Gaskell & Giovannini, LLC is a legal firm located in Cranston, Rhode Island, serving clients who might encounter their services through platforms such as "Lawyers Near Me." The firm's address is 945 Park Ave Suite 101, Cranston, RI 02910, USA. For direct contact, the firm can be reached by phone at (401) 654-6000, with the same number also serving as a mobile contact: +1 401-654-6000. Situated in a professional building on Park Avenue, the office environment likely provides a standard, functional setting for legal operations. While specific aesthetic details are not publicly available, one can expect a typical law office setup for receiving visitors and conducting legal work.
The primary area of practice for Gaskell & Giovannini, LLC, as strongly indicated by the provided client reviews, is debt collection and creditor's rights. This involves representing clients, which appear to include entities that purchase old debt, in legal efforts to recover outstanding balances. Their activities in this area can include filing lawsuits to obtain judgments against debtors, and subsequently pursuing enforcement measures such as wage garnishments or bank levies. This specialized focus positions them as a key player in the debt recovery sector within Rhode Island.
From the reviews, it is evident that the firm engages in the practice of buying old debt and then actively seeking to collect on it. This is a common practice in the debt collection industry, where entities acquire delinquent accounts at a reduced price and then attempt to recover the full or partial amount owed. This can lead to legal action against individuals for debts that may be several years old, as highlighted by a client whose wages were garnished for a debt from 2008.
The services offered by Gaskell & Giovannini, LLC, therefore, primarily revolve around civil litigation related to debt collection. This can include initiating legal proceedings, representing creditors in court, negotiating settlements, and pursuing post-judgment enforcement. For individuals who receive letters or summonses from this office, the services would involve addressing the legal claim made against them, which may require appearing in court or responding to legal documents. The firm's role is to legally pursue the collection of these debts on behalf of their clients, the debt owners.
Features of the firm's operations, as gleaned from client feedback, present a mixed picture. On one hand, there is a clear indication that the firm is effective in its primary function of debt collection, as evidenced by a client's wage garnishment. This suggests a firm that diligently pursues its objectives for its creditor clients. On the other hand, the reviews highlight significant concerns from individuals who are targets of these collection efforts. One client described the practice as "predatory, human-less and greedy," expressing frustration over being denied a settlement for an old debt they had no clear recollection of. This perspective underscores the often-contentious nature of debt collection and the emotional impact it can have on individuals.
Another feature, as noted by a client, is the recommendation to visit the office in person rather than calling to speak with the lawyers. This suggests that in-person interactions might be more effective for direct communication with the legal team. In one instance, a client who appeared in person to address a court letter regarding a Pawtucket Credit Union account they never had, found the lawyer to be "nice and answered my questions" and was ultimately informed they did not have to go to court. This specific instance indicates that when direct communication is established, the firm can resolve misunderstandings or erroneous claims, which is a positive aspect for affected individuals.
Promotional information for Gaskell & Giovannini, LLC, is primarily conveyed through its operational nature as a debt collection firm. While traditional marketing materials might not be publicly available, the firm's consistent pursuit of debt collection on behalf of its clients serves as a direct demonstration of its services. For entities looking to collect on outstanding debts, the firm's track record, even if met with strong opposition from debtors, would be their primary appeal. The firm's accessibility via phone and its physical address provides clear avenues for communication, whether for new clients seeking their services or for individuals responding to legal notices. The firm's presence on legal platforms like "Lawyers Near Me" indicates its availability to those searching for legal representation or information related to debt matters in Cranston, RI. However, it's also important to note that the very nature of their business leads to public scrutiny and can generate negative reviews from those who are the subject of their collection efforts, which in turn becomes part of the public perception and promotional landscape for the firm.

Aug 23, 2019 · Mary ScarduzioIf you want to speak to the lawyers at the office I would suggest to go on person and avoid calling. Its easier to speak to them in person. I had a letter from this office to appear in court. I had to bring my answer to the office, I explained I've never had an account in Pawtucket Credit Union, and that i also have been on disability (since 2008 or 2009 not sure which year), so I couldn't understand how I owed the money either. The lawyer was nice and answered my questions and told me I didn't have to go to court since I never had a bank account in Pawtucket.
Nov 10, 2018 · Deb SullivanBryan is the most rude person I have ever dealt with. A mistake was made at their end and a check was returned to my attention. When I called them to find out why, he made me feel like I was a total moron, especially when he asked me about the check number. He kept repeating about the check number on the right hand of the check and I kept repeating the number back to him. After I asked him for his email address so that I could scan the check over to him, he gave me a bogus email address that the system said wasn't a good address. I have $54 left to pay on a bill and these people will know how I feel about them once I am done. If you need a legal firm, try to bypass Bryan as he's pretty incompetent at his job or don't use then at all. Good luck to anyone out there trying to get an answer from them.
Mar 31, 2016 · Lynda RenaudI agree with Lynda. Bryan was incredibly rude to me when I called. He talks down to you, and tries to belittle you. He's sounds like a smug little prick. I get that I owed a debt, but I called you to resolve it. He was acting like I was running from them. HELLO? I called you. I was the one calling to handle my debt. I could have easily thrown the letter away and never called. I cannot believe you talk to people the way you do. There are plenty of good people out there who for whatever reason fall behind on their bills. I am with Lynda the second I am done paying what I owe they will get a piece of my mind. I am praying for flat tires for Bryan all summer. He is nothing but a dirtbag. I feel sorry for your mother.
