We started out in an OK place but there was a definite spiral during the purchase process. Some thoroughness and attentiveness from the admin in the beginning, but once that person was no longer available, we found ourselves making multiple calls and emails to try and get information and help. The seller's side made multiple rebuttals and extreme requests. It's unfortunate since the buyer was a senior. There was no fight or negotiation at all. Once the purchase was over, responses to our outreach lessened even more. Looking back, prior to the purchase, certain inquiries we had during the home sale were quickly dismissed - such as putting the home (that we were interested in selling) in a trust. We found later that this would have likely saved several tens of thousands of dollars the following year. It's unfortunate, but hopefully, we will be better prepared next time around. You live and you learn.

Goldberg Sager & Associates Introduce

For individuals in Brooklyn, New York, seeking legal assistance and exploring options within the "Lawyers Near Me" platform category, Goldberg Sager & Associates, located at 1628 Kings Hwy, Brooklyn, NY 11229, USA, warrants careful consideration. This introduction aims to provide an objective overview of the firm based on the available online reviews, highlighting the environment, services, and features as perceived by past clients. It is crucial to note that the feedback presented is mixed and includes significant negative experiences, which potential clients should carefully evaluate.

Based on the limited and conflicting review information, it is challenging to definitively describe the consistent environment of Goldberg Sager & Associates. One review mentions an "OK place" initially, suggesting a potentially adequate or satisfactory office setting at the outset. This reviewer also notes some "thoroughness and attentiveness from the admin in the beginning," indicating that initial interactions might be positive and organized. However, this positive aspect reportedly diminished when the specific administrative personnel became unavailable, leading to difficulties in obtaining information and assistance. This suggests a potential reliance on specific individuals and a possible lack of consistent administrative support throughout the client's engagement. Another review directly labels the office as "unprofessional," citing negative experiences in a family court matter. This stark contrast highlights the potential for variability in client experiences and the importance of considering all feedback.

Based on the context of the client reviews, Goldberg Sager & Associates appears to offer legal services in at least the following areas:

  • Real Estate Law: Two of the reviews pertain to real estate transactions, one involving a purchase and the other a home sale. This indicates that the firm handles matters related to property transactions, including purchases, sales, and potentially related issues such as trusts. However, the experiences shared within these reviews raise concerns about the level of thoroughness, attentiveness, negotiation skills, and post-purchase client support in their real estate practice.
  • Family Law: One review explicitly mentions hiring "Mrs. Sager for a family court matter." This indicates that the firm provides legal representation in family law cases. However, the feedback from this client is overwhelmingly negative, citing unprofessionalism, constant requests for money, and a "sloppy last minute job."

The features of Goldberg Sager & Associates, as perceived through the lens of the provided reviews, present a concerning picture:

  • Initial Thoroughness (Potentially Limited): One reviewer noted some initial thoroughness and attentiveness from administrative staff, but this was not sustained throughout the purchase process. This suggests that while there might be positive aspects at the beginning of an engagement, the level of service may decline.
  • Communication Issues: A significant concern raised in one real estate review is the need for "multiple calls and emails to try and get information and help" after the initial administrative contact was no longer available. This indicates potential communication breakdowns and a lack of proactive updates.
  • Lack of Negotiation and Advocacy: In the same real estate case, the reviewer expressed disappointment in the perceived lack of "fight or negotiation" on the buyer's behalf, particularly when dealing with "extreme requests" from the seller's side. This raises questions about the firm's commitment to actively advocating for their clients' interests.
  • Dismissal of Important Inquiries: The experience of having inquiries about putting a home in a trust "quickly dismissed" prior to a sale, which later proved to be a costly oversight, suggests a potential lack of foresight or thoroughness in providing comprehensive legal advice.
  • Unprofessionalism (Alleged): One family law client directly labels the office as "unprofessional," which is a serious accusation that potential clients should consider carefully.
  • Poor Communication and Interruption: The same family law reviewer states that "she constantly cut you off as you are explaining her the situation that she asked you details about." This indicates poor listening skills and a potentially dismissive approach to client communication.
  • Financial Concerns: The family law client mentions constant requests for money, raising potential concerns about billing practices or the perceived value of the services provided.
  • Sloppy Work (Alleged): The accusation of a "sloppy last minute job" in a family court matter is a significant negative indicator regarding the quality of legal services provided in this area.
  • Reduced Post-Purchase Support: One real estate client noted that "responses to our outreach lessened even more" after the purchase was finalized, suggesting a lack of ongoing client support or follow-through.

Currently, there is no promotional information available for Goldberg Sager & Associates in the provided text. Given the overwhelmingly negative sentiment expressed in two of the three reviews, any potential positive initial impressions appear to be overshadowed by significant concerns regarding the quality of service, communication, professionalism, and advocacy provided by the firm in both real estate and family law matters. The absence of positive recent feedback further underscores the need for potential clients to approach this firm with caution and conduct thorough due diligence.

For local users in Brooklyn seeking legal representation and considering Goldberg Sager & Associates, the available online reviews paint a concerning picture. While one real estate client noted some initial positive administrative interaction, this was not sustained and was accompanied by criticisms of communication, negotiation, and long-term support. The family law review is particularly damning, alleging unprofessionalism, poor communication, excessive focus on fees, and substandard legal work. Potential clients should weigh these negative experiences very carefully against any perceived convenience of the firm's location. It is strongly recommended that individuals considering Goldberg Sager & Associates conduct further research, seek additional reviews from other sources, and potentially consult with other law firms in the Brooklyn area to ensure they receive competent and professional legal representation. The contact information for Goldberg Sager & Associates is (718) 645-6677 or +1 718-645-6677, and their address is 1628 Kings Hwy, Brooklyn, NY 11229, USA. This office is unprofessional. I hired Mrs. Sager for a family court matter. I would definitely advise you to save your money and go somewhere else. You have been warned. Best of luck. As a previous comment stated, she constantly cut you off as you are explaining her the situation that she asked you details about. She will keep on asking money and she will do a sloppy last minute job. Save your money go somewhere else or even a public defender for free would be best.
