My girlfriend and I applied for one of their apartments. When we showed up to the viewing with the real estate agent we were honest with him, we said one of us has excellent credit and the other has bad credit. He told us to lie on the application and say it was just the one with good credit moving in (even though he collected an application fee for each person) and our application wound up being accepted. Then AFTER accepting our application the management company calls one of our references who did not say anything bad about us but did say that there was two of us so management then decides after accepting the application that they are going to deny because of the one person with bad credit even though we applied exactly how the agent said to and they already accepted it with the person with good credit alone. I find this incredibly ironic after finding out they have terrible reviews everywhere and are not a BBB accredited business. Needless to say don't waist your time. UPDATE: We contacted our landlord reference and found out that the management company never even contacted her so they lied about the reason for denying us. Very shady business.

As a platform connecting local users with relevant services under the category "Lawyers Near Me," it is important to provide a comprehensive and objective overview of what Haberman & Haberman offers, based on publicly available information. This introduction aims to shed light on their potential areas of practice, location, and what some clients have experienced.

Based on their name and general practices of law firms, it is reasonable to infer that Haberman & Haberman is likely a partnership of attorneys who offer a range of legal services. While specific details about their areas of specialization are not explicitly provided in the given information, law firms with a long-standing presence often cater to various legal needs within their community. Common areas of practice for such firms might include:

  • Real Estate Law: This could encompass transactions, disputes, landlord-tenant issues, and property management.
  • Estate Planning: Assisting clients with wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and estate administration.
  • Business Law: Providing legal counsel to businesses on matters such as formation, contracts, intellectual property, and litigation.
  • General Civil Litigation: Representing clients in various legal disputes.

The physical environment of Haberman & Haberman is indicated by their address in a building located at 315 Central Park West, specifically suite #1200. This suggests a professional office setting, likely equipped to handle client meetings, legal research, and administrative tasks. The location on Central Park West in New York City implies accessibility and a professional presence within a well-known area.

Features of a law firm like Haberman & Haberman typically include the expertise and experience of their attorneys, their commitment to client service, and their understanding of the local legal landscape. Clients generally seek lawyers who are knowledgeable in their specific legal needs, responsive to their concerns, and effective advocates on their behalf. A local firm often possesses a familiarity with the New York City legal system, including its courts, regulations, and procedures, which can be advantageous to clients.

However, it is crucial to consider all available information when evaluating a service provider. The provided customer reviews offer a glimpse into some individuals' experiences with Haberman & Haberman, particularly concerning a real estate application process. One review details an alleged incident where a real estate agent associated with the firm reportedly advised the applicants to misrepresent information on their application. Following the application's acceptance, the management company, purportedly linked to Haberman & Haberman, allegedly denied the application based on credit issues, contradicting the initial advice. The reviewer also mentions discovering negative reviews elsewhere and the firm's lack of BBB accreditation, labeling their business practices as "shady." An update from the same reviewer claims that a reference was never contacted, suggesting dishonesty in the reason for the denial.

Another review expresses strong dissatisfaction, calling the management office "one of the worst" and using derogatory language. This negative feedback raises concerns about the professionalism and ethical conduct associated with Haberman & Haberman, at least in the context of property management, if the reviews are indeed related to services provided directly by the firm or through their associated entities.

It is important to approach these reviews with a balanced perspective. Online reviews can be subjective and may not always represent the full picture of a business's overall performance. However, they can provide valuable insights into potential issues and customer experiences. The serious allegations made in the first review, particularly regarding the advice to provide false information and the subsequent alleged dishonesty about contacting references, should be noted by potential clients.

Given the limited positive information available and the significant negative feedback concerning their real estate dealings, it is challenging to offer strong promotional information for Haberman & Haberman based solely on the provided text. Objectivity requires acknowledging the serious concerns raised by these customer experiences.

For local users in the "Lawyers Near Me" category considering Haberman & Haberman, it would be prudent to conduct further research and due diligence. This could include:

  • Seeking additional reviews from various sources: Look beyond the provided snippets to get a broader understanding of client experiences.
  • Checking their standing with the New York State Bar Association: Verify the attorneys' credentials and any disciplinary actions.
  • Contacting Haberman & Haberman directly: Discuss your specific legal needs and inquire about their experience and approach.
  • Consulting with other legal professionals: Get recommendations from trusted sources.

In conclusion, Haberman & Haberman is a law firm located in New York City, potentially offering services in areas such as real estate, estate planning, and business law. While their location suggests a professional presence, the provided customer reviews raise significant concerns regarding their business practices, particularly in the realm of property management. Potential clients should carefully consider this information and conduct thorough research before engaging their services to ensure their legal needs are met with professionalism and integrity.

I am a tenant in one of their buildings and they are the worst management ever. Check out my review for “Terrace Court Apartments”, their building on 93rd st and Riverside Dr. Our building is not properly maintained and it is Impossible to get the Habermans to care or actually get things done.
