I live in a condominium Community Access Unlimited ("CAU") manages. In 2019, we had a fire that destroyed 2/3 of the property. Shortly after the fire, CAU higher ups, including Sidney Blanchard, met with the unit owners to discuss how we would rebuild after the fire and Poltrock was there as counsel. They suggested a contractor they'd used the year prior when they had a serious fire in another property. They did not suggest any other contractors and we as unit owner did not feel empowered to vet other options to take on such a large job nor were we given much time to try to. Fast forward to 2021, the contractors walked off the job then sent the HOA, consisting of unit owners who had no real say in their hiring, a demand letter for over $250k claiming that they were never paid an agreed to increase. Poltrock did not even attempt to help us get to the bottom of this issue even though he was involved directly in communications with the contractors around the time they requested this increase. The HOA found our own counsel who realized that the increase was granted and paid out by our insurance, leading us to believe there might be some insurance fraud happening behind the scenes with the contractor, CAU, and other parties who were aware of these communications while we as unit owners were in the dark. It would have saved us a world of trouble if Poltrock helped us realize this sooner since he was the attorney involved at the time the contractor was hired and at the time they requested the increase from our insurance. Instead he simply backed away, probably to protect himself, leaving completely innocent unit owners on their own to dispute this demand by the contractor.

Based on available information, Mr. Poltrock's expertise appears to encompass real estate law. One client review specifically praises him as a "great attorney" who "answered all our endless questions and guided us through our real estate transaction." This positive feedback suggests a strong understanding of property law, attention to detail, and a commitment to client communication and support throughout the legal process. If you are buying, selling, or dealing with any legal issues related to real estate in the local area, Mr. Poltrock may be a valuable resource.

However, it is important to consider all available information to form a comprehensive understanding. Another review presents a less positive experience related to a situation involving a condominium community, Community Access Unlimited (CAU), and a post-fire rebuilding project. In this instance, the reviewer indicates that Mr. Poltrock served as counsel during discussions about rebuilding after a significant fire in 2019. The review details a situation where a contractor, suggested by CAU, later issued a demand letter for a substantial sum, alleging non-payment for an agreed-upon increase. The reviewer expresses disappointment that Mr. Poltrock did not, in their view, adequately assist in resolving this issue, particularly since he was involved in communications with the contractor around the time the increase was requested from the insurance company. The reviewer suggests that Mr. Poltrock's withdrawal from the situation left the unit owners to independently address the contractor's demand, eventually leading them to suspect potential insurance fraud with other involved parties.

This contrasting review highlights the complexity of legal practice and the potential for differing client experiences based on the specific circumstances of their cases. While one client found Mr. Poltrock to be a great help in a real estate transaction, another experienced dissatisfaction in a more complex scenario involving multiple parties and potential disputes.

For local users seeking legal assistance, particularly in real estate matters, Harold J. Poltrock, Attorney at Law, presents himself as an accessible option with a physical office in Elizabeth, NJ. The positive review regarding a real estate transaction suggests competence and helpfulness in this area of law. While promotional information is not explicitly available in the provided text, the very presence of a listed attorney on a platform like "Lawyers Near Me" serves as a form of introduction and availability notice to local users. For users in Elizabeth, NJ, and the surrounding areas looking for legal assistance, especially in real estate, Harold J. Poltrock, Attorney at Law, is a local professional whose services may be worth exploring further.

In conclusion, Harold J. Poltrock, Attorney at Law, located in Elizabeth, NJ, offers legal services that appear to include real estate law. While one client review praises his guidance through a real estate transaction, another expresses dissatisfaction with his handling of a complex post-fire dispute involving a condominium community. Local users seeking legal assistance should consider these perspectives and conduct their own thorough evaluation to determine if Mr. Poltrock's services align with their specific needs and expectations. Contacting his office directly at (973) 258-1200 for a consultation would be a prudent next step for those interested in learning more about how he can assist them.
