In 2021, Mr. Samuel G. Hayward, Sr., was helping me with a developing defamation case, but due to health reasons had to discontinue and withdraw. At our initial consultation meeting, he had spent over an hour thoroughly evaluating my case in his office, and then we signed a proper contract that day. After it became known he could not continue, he then refunded my full $2500 retainer fee, gave me my entire file promptly, including his notes and summary thus far, sent me an excellent letter of endorsement as a client to give to other prospective attorneys, and we remained on good terms. Does anyone realize how rare that is to find anymore? He was an extraordinary man, an attorney with a strong sense of integrity, held onto good old fashioned values, and a exuded a sharp intellect. He honed in on the exact legal issue I had adeptly, which was complicated, and summed it all up beautifully in a short, plain statement. The gentleman was a top notch attorney in my book, and I've consulted with dozens over the past 2 years. America needs more attorneys like Mr. Hayward. I am saddened to learn of his passing and send deepest sympathies to his family and firm.
For individuals seeking legal representation in Louisville, Kentucky, platforms like "Lawyers Near Me" provide a directory of local attorneys. This introduction aims to provide an objective overview of the services and client experiences associated with Hayward Samuel G, who had an office at 1009 S 4th St, Louisville, KY 40203, USA, with phone numbers (502) 584-2111 and +1 502-584-2111. It is important to note that one of the provided reviews indicates the passing of Mr. Samuel G. Hayward, Sr., suggesting that he may no longer be practicing law. Therefore, this introduction serves as a historical overview based on past client interactions.
Given the information available, it is challenging to describe the current environment of the practice under Hayward Samuel G, as the passing of the named attorney may have resulted in significant changes or closure. Historically, law offices aim to provide a professional setting for client consultations and legal work. The location on South 4th Street in Louisville suggests accessibility within a potentially central area of the city.
Based on the provided client reviews, Hayward Samuel G appears to have handled cases involving defamation and worker discrimination, specifically related to FMLA (Family and Medical Leave Act) and ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act). One positive review from 2021 describes Mr. Hayward's thorough initial consultation in a defamation case, his willingness to refund the full retainer fee upon his inability to continue due to health reasons, the prompt return of the client's file with his notes, and a letter of endorsement for other attorneys. This suggests that, at least in this instance, Mr. Hayward provided diligent initial service and acted with integrity in his withdrawal from the case.
However, a subsequent review presents a significantly different experience in a worker discrimination case involving FMLA and ADA. This client paid a retainer fee for representation but reports a lack of communication and progress on their case over a period of time, despite assurances from the office. The client describes a deposition that occurred but was followed by further "silence," leading to the conclusion that the retainer fee was spent on "bogus" representation and a "bogus" deposition. This review strongly advises others with serious worker disputes to seek legal representation elsewhere.
Considering these contrasting experiences, it is difficult to definitively characterize the services provided by Hayward Samuel G. The positive review highlights qualities such as thoroughness in initial consultation, integrity in handling the discontinuation of services, and a strong grasp of legal issues. The negative review, however, paints a picture of neglect, poor communication, and a lack of effective representation in a worker discrimination case.
Features that might have characterized Hayward Samuel G's practice, based on the mixed reviews, could include a strong initial assessment of a case (as noted in the defamation case) and a potentially sharp legal intellect. However, the negative review raises serious concerns about communication, follow-through on case work, and the overall quality of representation in certain types of cases. The discrepancy between these two accounts underscores the importance for potential clients to seek multiple sources of information and conduct thorough due diligence when selecting legal counsel.
In terms of promotional information, the positive review from the defamation case could be seen as a strong endorsement of Mr. Hayward's initial professionalism and ethical conduct. The client's surprise at the full refund and the provision of detailed case notes and a letter of endorsement speaks highly of his integrity. However, this positive portrayal is significantly countered by the negative review detailing a lack of action and communication in a worker discrimination case, which serves as a strong caution against using his services for such matters.
Given the information that Mr. Samuel G. Hayward, Sr., has passed away, any promotional value from past positive experiences is now historical. Local users searching "Lawyers Near Me" should be aware of this information and understand that the services previously offered by Mr. Hayward may no longer be available or may be provided under a significantly different structure if the practice continues under new leadership.
The stark contrast between the two client experiences serves as a critical reminder for local users utilizing "Lawyers Near Me" to thoroughly research any attorney they are considering. Relying on a single review, whether positive or negative, may not provide a complete picture. It is essential to seek multiple perspectives, inquire about the attorney's specific experience in handling cases similar to your own, and assess their communication style and commitment to client service during an initial consultation.
In conclusion, based on the provided information, Hayward Samuel G, as represented by Samuel G. Hayward, Sr., had a practice in Louisville, KY, where he handled cases involving defamation and worker discrimination. Client experiences appear to be mixed, with one client praising his thoroughness and integrity, while another reports significant issues with communication and the quality of representation. Given the reported passing of Mr. Hayward, local users in Louisville searching for legal assistance through "Lawyers Near Me" should be aware that the practice may no longer be operating under the same leadership or may have undergone significant changes. Any decision to seek legal services from this entity should be based on current information and thorough due diligence.

May 23, 2022 · Shannon CilaI was a client of Samuel Hayward Sr. Paid my retainer fee, told I had a strong case for FMLA/Worker Discrimination. (Breast Cancer, Was on FMLA when my company said "come back to work or lose health care".) I told Sam Sr. and he said "you've got a case. ADA prohibits this behavior". Paid my $2500 retainer fee, and "Silence". I continued on with my cancer treatments, and the next year heard from "Chip". I met with him, he gave me several copies of interrogetories he was to serve with my former employer, and again "Silence". I call the office, speak with his secretary who assures me he is working on it. "Silence" Months go by, I finish cancer treatments, and I hear we will have a Deposition. I go to the office, and we do the deposition. I think, "maybe I've been a bit harsh in thinking they pulled one over on me." After the deposition...."silence" I am pretty much resolved that my $2500 went towards "bogus" representation and a "bogus" deposition. Please, if you have a serious worker dispute, look somewhere else, unless you have an extra $2500 laying around. My retainer fee money happened to come out of my "Cancer money" I had from my past employers Critical Care benefit I had signed up for. (At least I had that.) It's sad that I feel used and unlawfully let go of my former job because of cancer, and then turn around and the lawyer I chose to represent me do nothing but send me "bogus" Interrogatories and tell me lies. (stated, "all cases are backed up because of Covid".) God doesn't smile on "cheaters" or "liars". My advice: Look elsewhere for Professional Representation.
Jul 21, 2023 · Doris CorcoranSam tells u what u want to hear and does not do what he says. I have been. Client for over a year and a half and he does not follow thru on what he says he is going to do. Most of the time he will not call back and when he does he gives me a song and dance. Sam is a great guy, but a terrible lawyer in my opinion, he should be selling used cars instead of a lawyer ( again, this is my opinion). I am so frustrated with this man it is unbelievable. Just one lie after another, tells me he is going to file something and does not. Last time we meet he said he had some type of brain fog since the beginning of the year and does not remember anything he said or did during that time period due to the brain fog he had. I would not recommend using him for ANYTHING AT ALL.
Sep 13, 2021 · Bob PersingerTerrible service. I had a multi-million dollar lawsuit on the table and the people at this office have been stringing me along for almost two months. They're not even courteous enough to give me a quick phone call, return my calls, or send me an email. This is just an absolute garbage business. Everyone has their own experiences, but if others are treated the way I have been, bypass this firm; they do not respect clients or deserve our business.
