Went in for a consultation with mom and they asked to copy her DL. I've never gone in for a consultation anywhere that asked for your ID. Tran saw that we probably weren't going to use his service so he waived the $150. We had a lot of questions because we're pretty ignorant (hence coming here) and he acted super dismissive and impatient. At the end he basically told us if we don't pay $1650 today then he won't service us in the future. We're definitely not coming back, this isn't rocket science I'd rather pay more for better attitude and service. Be careful don't let your old Asian non English speaking parents for fall this trap I know he does a lot of advertising on Chinese radio.

One aspect of the client experience mentioned in the provided reviews involves the initial consultation process. According to these accounts, the office requested a copy of a client's driver's license during a consultation. One reviewer noted this was an unusual practice compared to other consultations they had experienced. The review further indicates that after perceiving the clients might not proceed with their services, the consultation fee of $150 was waived.
The same review also highlights concerns regarding the lawyer's demeanor during the consultation. The client felt that their questions, arising from a lack of legal expertise, were met with dismissiveness and impatience. Furthermore, the review states that at the end of the consultation, they were informed that unless a payment of $1650 was made that day, they would not be offered services in the future. This experience led the reviewer to decide against returning, expressing a preference for paying more for better attitude and service.
The reviewer also cautioned others, particularly elderly Asian non-English speaking individuals, about potentially falling into a "trap," suggesting they believe the office heavily advertises on Chinese radio. These are direct sentiments shared by individuals who interacted with Hung B Tran Law Office.
It's important to consider all feedback when choosing a legal service provider. While these reviews offer a particular perspective on the consultation experience, they do not provide a complete overview of all the legal services Hung B Tran Law Office may offer or the experiences of all their clients. Sep 23, 2024 · Susan ShiAgreed with many others that office provided not just rude service, and unprofessional staffs included lawyer himself. First, client is being overpaid for service which is not met customer requirements after customer’s needs has been discussed with the lawyer in Cantonese on first appointment less than 15 minutes was set by lawyer Second, lawyer has his assistant serviced customer on returned appointment by holding the Living Trust folders in front her and reading off the materials in English to Cantonese speaking client in the position of not known what is going on. The lawyer and his assistant is frustrated, raise their voices and got upset when client raise questions since they have no answers. Overall survey, this lawyer office is very impractical to be in business to provide legal advice service to public, especially to the Asian non-English or Limited-English speaking population or community. The services will be rated as less than one star if rating is available. Honestly and critically, the service is very unprofessionalism and not quality. Would not recommend. As many people have said on their Yelp, RUDE SERVICE! Hung Ban Tran and his staffs are very impatient and dismissive of questions that are considered important to the clients. Lawyer withdrew his eye contact while avoided answer client’s questions.

May 28, 2024 · MyChi DiepWould not recommend. As many people have said on their Yelp, RUDE SERVICE! We had Vivian Junmin Zou and I can't believe how impatient she was. Obviously, we're not going to understand everything. If we did, we wouldn't need to talk with her. Also, when we were in her office, we weren't allowed to close the door??? I don't know what rule that is since I'm not a lawyer, but I definitely thought that was weird... The offices next to her all had their doors closed when speaking with customers. I was not comfortable as my mother discussed her living trust while the whole office could hear. We chose this place because my mother doesn't speak English and we needed a Chinese speaking place to communicate her needs for her living trust. She's also pretty traditional and insists on going back to the same places she knows of or are comfortable with. In the Asian community, lots of people know this place so my mom only wanted to go here. Even she thought they were really rude to her, as the customer and an elder!

Aug 29, 2020 · Annika YipWhen I saw all the low rated reviews on here and yelp it almost made me want to cancel my appointment. I figured since the fee was good ($1500 for living trust package in 2022) and lower than the other quotes I got, I should at least go to the consultation and see. And I was surprised they were very decent and not rude at all. Overall, it was a very seamless and easy, at least for us, it entailed - 1.) Making an appointment by phone, which was only a few days later. 2.) During the consultation you first go in and are asked to give your information and a check for $150, all while you wait to speak with the lawyer. We waited around 10 mins. We spoke with the lawyer for 20 mins and we were explained what the living trust package entailed. We were told to come back a week later while they get busy preparing the legal documents and going to court to turn it in. We were out the door in about 30 mins total. 3.) Came back for the 2nd meeting a week later. We were shown a large file documents by another staff. They went through what all the documents meant. This staff was very polite and professional. We signed and it was notarized by an authorized in-house staff. This meeting took about an hour. Paid in check for the remaining balance. Went home with a copy of all the documents. We were told to expect more document coming in the mail once everything completes from the state. Then we were done and out the door! Some background info is they do administer and fund the trust for you and this firm specializes in trusts. They seem to advertise to only Chinese speaking people. However, they do speak English perfectly here so there is no problem if you don’t speak Chinese and don’t want to pay more elsewhere to get a living trust done.
