On November 26, 2024, I was informed by my mortgage company that it has been communicated to Jackson & McPherson to not proceed with a Sheriff's sale on my home, yet Jackson & McPherson have not cancelled the sale on their end. I am in the loss mitigation process with my mortgage company, Shellpoint Mortgage Servicing, currently going through the short sale process, and will be starting the deed-in- lieu process at the end of December. On November 26, I was served with a Notice of Seizure from the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff's Office, on behalf of Jackson & McPherson. When I contacted the law office, I was told by the attorney that they had been sitting on my case since September, and that my mortgage company had not communicated to them to cancel the sale, which is what needed to happen in order for them to do so. However, when I spoke to my mortgage company, I was told that it had been communicated to Jackson & McPherson to put the sale on hold. On today, December 21, 2024, I received another letter on behalf of Jackson & McPherson from the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff's office, stating that a Sheriff's sale has been scheduled for my home in February 2025, and that authority to cancel the sale must come from either the court or the attorney of record, which is Jackson & McPherson, however they are refusing to cancel the sale, even though it has been communicated to them twice to do so. The office is closed today, but I will be contacting them ONCE AGAIN on Monday to get some answers, as well as request they speak to my mortgage company. Since they are choosing not to cancel the sale, after they have been told to do so, it seems to me that there is a vested interest from Jackson & McPherson to obtain my property through auction illegally.

Dec 21, 2024 · Alyssa HuntI have had a poor experience with Jackson & McPherson. I bought a NORA property in 2012. I sent numerous messages to the woman in charge of these transactions, and they were not returned. I had an unexpected issue at a later time. After trying to contact this person 2 or 3 times, only one message was returned. She said she'd look into the issue and get back to me but I never heard from her. Given these interactions, I would suggest that you look elsewhere for your legal needs. That being said, that advice is based only on these experiences and perhaps yours may be better.
