I have seen many, many TV commercials involving people who have had motor vehicle accidents and what their experience was, but nothing I've seen compares to my mine. I had an accident with an 18 wheeler that led to me having spine surgery. Once home from the hospital, alone, I chose what I thought was a very popular law firm here in Dallas. Turned out I was being "represented" by a firm unknown to me, nor was it known to friends who work or have worked for other firms. After about a year, I started inquiring about the status of my case, only to be lied to and given the runaround. After several "bogus" answers, I asked to speak to the actual attorney handling my case. To my surprise, he explained in speaking to the opposing firm, my file was lost and they would get back to him as soon as it was located. I was horrified, hurt, and felt totally defeated.
