One of their attorneys agreed to help me with an eviction and never followed through. After a month of very little communication and literally no help, I had to hire a new attorney. They wasted my time--and time is money. I would definitely recommend going with a different law firm.

Based on the firm's name and common areas of legal practice, Kimball, Tirey & St. John LLP likely specializes in specific domains of law relevant to businesses and individuals involved in property management and real estate. While the provided information does not offer a comprehensive list of their services, their known reputation and the context of the customer reviews suggest a focus on areas such as:
Eviction Law: One reviewer mentioned seeking assistance with an eviction matter, indicating that this is a service the firm offers. Eviction law involves the legal process of removing a tenant from a property, and attorneys in this field represent landlords in navigating the complexities of California eviction procedures.
Landlord Representation: Given the context of the reviews, it is highly probable that Kimball, Tirey & St. John LLP primarily represents landlords and property management companies in various legal matters related to their properties and tenants. This could include lease agreements, tenant disputes, property violations, and compliance with housing laws.
Property Management Law: This area of law focuses on the legal aspects of managing rental properties, including the rights and responsibilities of property managers, relationships with tenants, and adherence to relevant regulations.
Real Estate Law: This broader field encompasses various legal issues related to property, including transactions, disputes, and property rights. While the reviews are specific to landlord-tenant issues, the firm may also handle other real estate matters.

Regarding the features of Kimball, Tirey & St. John LLP, as a well-established law firm, they likely possess experienced attorneys and professional staff. However, the provided customer reviews offer critical insights into the client experience, which must be considered as part of an objective introduction. One review details a negative experience where an attorney allegedly agreed to help with an eviction but provided minimal communication and no actual assistance over a month, ultimately leading the client to hire new counsel and deeming their time wasted. This suggests potential issues with attorney follow-through and client communication in at least one instance.
The second review presents a serious accusation from a senior resident of a community managed by "The Overlook in Anaheim Hills," alleging harassment, retaliation, and intimidation by Kimball, Tirey & St. John LLP on behalf of their client, Avanath. The reviewer claims pre-fabricated violations, lack of evidence, and the issuance of multiple "FINAL THREE (3) DAY NOTICE TO PERMANENTLY PERFORM COVENANT OR QUIT" for speaking up. This review paints a picture of a firm that is perceived as unprofessional and aggressive in its dealings with tenants, allegedly prioritizing the interests of their paying client over fair treatment of residents. The reviewer also suggests a climate of fear within the community, discouraging residents from speaking out.
These reviews, while anecdotal, are direct accounts from individuals who have interacted with the firm or been affected by their actions. They raise significant concerns about client service, communication, and the firm's approach to tenant-landlord matters. Potential clients should carefully consider these experiences when evaluating Kimball, Tirey & St. John LLP.
Promotional information is not explicitly provided. Law firms typically promote their services through their website, professional affiliations, and referrals. In the absence of such information, the available customer reviews serve as a form of feedback – albeit negative in these instances – that potential clients should be aware of.

Apr 03, 2025 · Jamie CarperI am a 70 year old Senior and this company has been harrassing retaliating & intimading me through their company The Overlook in Anaheim Hills for over 3 years. They pre-fabricate violations with no dates, names or evidence whatsoever. I have a collection of FINAL THREE (3) DAY NOTICE TO PERMANENTLY PERFORM COVENANT OR QUIT just for speaking up for myself. This firm is very unprofessional and will stop at nothing so long as they get paid from Avanath. The Overlook community is afraid of speaking up because they are afraid of their retaliation.
Dec 09, 2024 · Martha ZaragozaHave reached out multiple times to let them know and show proof I moved and have a follow up email of apartment accepting move out date with everything paid and they gave us back the deposit and now they say I owe for July 2020 when we moved out in may of 2020 good luck trying to get this collection or should I say scam collection agency of lawyers to answer . I’ve now called 5-6 weeks everyday and also have done the written dispute as well with NO answer. At the point I’ll be contacting the attorney general and fraud commission to look into these “claims” since no body responds back . But from the looks of it they only respond to “positive” fees back and never reach back to people who seem to have similar situations going on.
Dec 21, 2023 · Christa SlackI was given a court order to vacate my apartment in December of 2022 because of unpaid rent due to losing my job during Covid. At my court date the offer was - in order to keep my eviction permanently sealed - i would have to pay the full balance of nearly $30k within 6 months. I told the court there was no way i’d be able to come up with that much money in only 6 months. Public defender attorney Scott Andrews from this law firm assured me that even though the court order said what it said, as long as i was making regular payments and on good terms with my building’s management they wouldn’t unseal my eviction after the 6 months even if I wasn’t able to pay the full balance in that time frame. Thus i signed the court docs. That info Scott Andrews provided turned out to be a complete lie or totally inaccurate, either way most likely for the sake of rushing lines of people in similar situations through the Santa Ana courtroom that day or crooked courts and attorneys. My building management refused to make any payment plan at all. And now I’m about to have a permanent eviction on my record since my 6 month deadline is about to expire. Scott Andrews is either a liar or an ignorant attorney. Based on the rest of the reviews i see for this firm before mine, he isn’t the only clown working for this firm. Also the girl who answers the phones for this firm is completely useless and very unprofessional. If you end up in court having to use public representation like i did instead of hiring your own lawyer, make sure to ask that public defender their name and what firm they’re associated with and check reviews on both before you agree to any plea deal so you don’t end up in the position I’m now in thanks to this garbage firm and their unscrupulous crook lawyers. DISGRACEFUL!
Jul 28, 2023 · JBI lived at Del Mar Apt Homes in Rancho Cucamonga for 3 years. Moved December 2019. Upon turning in my keys and garage remote I was given a legal document stating $0 owed. I had a $2174 deposit which I thought would cover any minor repairs and remaining deposit would be refunded. Instead i get a levy attached to my Grown sons bank accounts this past May 2023. I received no correspondence from anyone since 2019. They said I owe almost $4000 of damage (not true) $2300 of interest and a $2196 that was not included in the judgement for rent. Almost $7K. I only found out about this when I applied for a home loan and it was a part of a derogatory mark on my credit file. They levied my sons accounts for almost 5K in early May 2023. It’s July 12th and the judgement has been satisfied but still on my credit report accruing interest. Crooks!! You will have no peace treating hard working people the way you do! I asked Jeffery Kennedy to remove the levy from my grown (30+) sons account and I would pay and he said “no let’s see what I can get from the accounts. Totally unprofessional. Well the $ was taken early May and still showing unpaid. These attorneys or paralegal need an ethics class. Hope you never find yourself at the mercy of a firm like this. I’m retired and just want to buy a home and enjoy the American dream. Rita - A strong Black Woman
