I can’t begin to say enough about Arthur Lin and his excellence as an attorney. For 7 years Mr. Lin represented my son as his court appointed counsel. During that time, and during an ugly custody dispute, Mr. Lin focused only on his client. The parents’ needs were met based only on what the law permitted and what he felt was best for the child, his client. Don’t get me wrong, he was thoughtful of the parents, even when their actions and behaviors weren’t always deserving of it. He just always put the child first. Though I did not always agree with Mr. Lin’s decisions, he never failed to do what was best for my son and was compassionate and caring with him in all their interactions. He strove to include a fair and healthy custody balance between the parents until he realized that it wasn't realistic or even safe. When our case was at its most turbulent and caustic, Mr. Lin exhibited his dedication to his client by standing at his side even under the fire of libel attacks against his practice made by his client’s mother who eventually lost custody and had a permanent restraining order placed against her that was maintained even after she brought it to the Appellate Court. Mr. Lin could have stepped away or provided the bare minimum defense for my son in order to protect his own reputation from the slanderous onslaught of social media lies that took forever to recede and were created by an abuser full of vengeance, instead, Arthur Lin went above a beyond as he would for any child in need to represent them to the best of his ability with no concern for his self, reputation, or prestige… but then I wouldn’t expect anything less from someone I found to be one of the few legal counsels in the business who had the respect of most all of his peers and countless professionals in the many fields orbiting family law. He's professional and easy to talk to. He's the only attorney I've ever left and felt good about our interaction. Just likes to follow the money. And to think he is a child council? Mr Lin will definitely here from the state bar on my case! Please save your money and go somewhere else! The guys has no morals and will say anything to get you think he is on your side!
Sep 24, 2021 · 408 mendozaMr. Lin has no business being Minors Counsel. He put my child as a part of the conflict and recommended he be placed full time with his abuser. His briefs are full of hearsay and when confronted on them, he responds with things like “I’m not going to respond to your faulty request”. I was under the impression responding isn’t optional. He also plays games with sending his bills. He is only after money and what he can do to further his career. I will be filing a complaint against the bar with much evidence of his sloppy and biased work. I pray for the day my son ages out of the family court and we are done with Mr. Lin. People are typically afraid to speak up because of his court appointed role. He is dangerous as Minor’s Counsel.
