Rude. Literally had one simple question, not even about how to go about a civil case. I was just going to ask whether I put the defendants name or the company’s name on the petition I am filing. That’s it. Nothing else. I was told he doesn’t answer questions, so I hung up. Glad it was early enough in the conversation so I didn’t have to deal with a bad attitude. *update to owners reply, as I can’t find the reply button* No, he WAS in fact rude. There was no need to carry-on with the conversation, as your eye-rolling tone was clearly evident - so yes, I hung up. Yes, I have called many auto shops to ask SIMPLE question that I did not know, but they, unlike you, were kind enough to answer. Because they know that might have earned my business in the future. I didn’t need your representation at the moment, just a simple question answered. You are the type that give lawyers such bad reputations and fit the stereo-type. Good day.

Based on the available client feedback, the Law Office Of Carey Thompson, PC, appears to specialize in securing Social Security Disability benefits. The testimonial explicitly thanks Laurie Weir and Mr. Thompson "for your hard work and diligence in getting my disability," referring to it as a "life saver." This strong endorsement clearly indicates their proficiency and focus on this specific area of law. Services in this field would typically include assisting clients with initial applications for Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) or Supplemental Security Income (SSI), navigating the appeals process if a claim is denied, gathering medical evidence, preparing for hearings before administrative law judges, and advocating on behalf of clients to prove their eligibility for benefits. This often involves understanding complex medical conditions, vocational limitations, and the stringent criteria set by the Social Security Administration. While one review mentions a "civil case" inquiry, the clear success story points overwhelmingly to disability claims as a core service area. For individuals facing the often daunting process of applying for or appealing a denial of disability benefits, the firm offers crucial legal guidance and representation to help them secure the financial support they need due to a disabling condition.
The key features that define the Law Office Of Carey Thompson, PC, as highlighted by client feedback, present a mixed but informative picture. On one hand, a highly positive review commends Laurie Weir and Mr. Thompson for their "hard work and diligence" in obtaining disability benefits, describing their service as "professional and get back with you in a timely, courteous manner." This suggests that for clients they choose to represent, particularly in disability cases, the firm demonstrates dedication, professionalism, and effective communication. The phrase "Thank you a million times over" underscores the profound positive impact they had on this client's life, implying a high level of client satisfaction and successful outcomes in their area of specialization. This indicates that when the firm takes on a case, they are committed to seeing it through with diligence and a focus on positive results.
However, it is also important to address the other review, which describes an interaction as "rude" and highlights a perceived unwillingness to answer a "simple question" outside of formal representation. The client felt that the "eye-rolling tone was clearly evident" and that the firm displayed a "bad attitude," fitting a "stereotype." This suggests a potential area where the firm's approach to initial inquiries or general legal advice might be perceived negatively by some. It implies that the firm may have a policy of only engaging in detailed legal discussions or providing specific advice once formally retained or after an initial consultation, which is a common practice among lawyers. However, the tone of such communication can greatly impact a potential client's perception. For clients who become official clients, the firm is seen as highly responsive and professional, as noted by the positive testimonial regarding timely and courteous communication. This contrast highlights that the firm's features might be perceived differently depending on the stage of interaction and whether the inquiry falls within their standard client intake procedures.
For local users in Fort Worth, TX, who are in need of legal assistance, particularly concerning Social Security Disability claims, the Law Office Of Carey Thompson, PC, presents itself as a firm capable of delivering positive results. If you are facing a situation where you need to secure disability benefits and are looking for a law firm that demonstrates hard work and professionalism in this area, the Law Office Of Carey Thompson, PC, could be a valuable ally. Mar 15, 2025 · Jerry JonesGoing through the disability process is very tough and scary. Being very sick already and struggling financially plus dealing with denials is alot of stress. I am still in the process but I am working with the office of Carey Thompson and they have helped take so much of the stress off of me. Very respectful, understanding, and communicative. Highly highly recommend!
Jan 28, 2025 · Billy AkinsCarey was very professional, caring about my circumstances and forthcoming with solutions for my situation. I had tried to manage on my own for several years unsuccessfully and had I not procured him. I would’ve lost all possibilities. I am very grateful for all he has done for me and my family by successfully, obtaining the award for me.
Nov 25, 2024 · Ivory ChenteylThey do not care about what is happening with you and focused on the money and being paid, pretty usual for lawyers. We lost a family member and Carey Thompson did nothing to make the process go smoothly. My family member had to get up while in extreme pain to get into a car and suffer through the drive because Carey Thompson did not want to get up from his comfortable office chair and get a traveling notary. Please if you care about your loved ones and their health do not use this office unless you want to be treated terribly. He made the last months of our loved one’s life a living hell as well as the process after they passed. Response to Owner: I have never spoken to you and have simply been in the background of conversations you have had with my family. I have no connection towards you besides you being a bad person to my family. Your “house call” was dropping papers off and leaving. You were very aware the short drive was very difficult because I heard what was said in the phone call, and made sure to communicate how it was a strain on them. It was a month or two before cancer had taken their life and they could barely get out of bed, but you said there was absolutely no way. When in reality you did not want to hire a notary and bring witnesses to their home because it was too much work and money. My advice for you, sir, is to focus on more surface level cases because you are apparently unable to connect to families on an emotional level and have empathy.
