I find him to be extremely bright, personable and knowledgeable with many subjects, Including real estate law, insurance, estate and financial planning, veterans and senior affairs. Doug came highly recommended and assisted my sisters family in purchasing their first house while my brother in law was deployed. He’s been a constant go to with questions about various topics and I recommend him highly and often.

My original mortgage was through Mass Housing, and included 2 loans as part of a first-time homebuyers program. They neglected to discharge BOTH mortgages that I had, which I was made aware of now that we are selling the condo and buying our dream house. I've been trying to get this resolved for 2 WEEKS - with no results. Their closings team has been good at responding to let me know they are working on it, and has been very nice, but has not understood the level of urgency and that time is of the essence. Since we are closing in WEEKS, I had to escalate this myself...and after LOTS of redirecting phone calls, I finally got Mass Housing to help me. I cannot believe the ineptitude of their services - how can you pay off TWO mortgages, but only discharge ONE?!?!?! Be warned - if you hire this law firm, be prepared to double check to make sure they ACTUALLY finish the job.

He was very responsive, which is critical because things move very fast and the sellers may not tolerate delays. He also explained all the legal documents in a clear, up front manner. All the legal jargon can be intimidating for a first time home buyer but Doug made it easy to understand. His experience in insurance was also extremely valuable, he was like a one-stop shop for all the advice I needed! I cannot recommend him enough.
