Law Office of Robert Kochis

Robert Kochis was the best lawyer I could have asked for! He was patient and kind and always led me down the right path for my situation. At every turn he would patiently explain all the possible outcomes that could happen depending on what route I wanted to go. I never felt in the dark on what was happening and I ALWAYS felt that he had my back. He kept me calm when my ex was crazier than usual! His staff is wonderful and very responsive!

I can't express enough my gratitude to Robert Kochis and his team! just a week ago he represented me in a complex case that could of gone either way but he fought for me and the outcome couldn't have gone better. It had been an on going battle with my ex and the last time I was in the courtroom the judge almost ruled against me but I was able to ask for more time, I immediately began looking for an attorney many didn't get back to me and was feeling discouraged that's when I found Robert Kochis I called and Debbie was so kind and got me In ASAP my consultation was for an hour but Robert was taken back with the information I had provided to him and went above and beyond to explain to me in detail what I needed to know, without a doubt I knew I needed him to go back to court I was able to retain him with only a week before my court hearing Robert and his team worked on my case and made it happen! He showed up and was educated on tax laws and similar cases to mine and just did an amazing job to present everything before the judge. Robert was very honest from the beginning and made it clear that he had never seen a case like mine but he did the research he needed and it paid off! Thank you Robert and your team for all your hard work put into my case :)

I had zero experience with attorneys and was referred to Mr. Bawden-his consultation fee was reasonable and he explained everything that would happen and what I needed to do. He knows his stuff and was always calm and patient. My ex even dumped his own attorney and agreed to use Mr. Bawden to finalize our settlement. I can't recommend him highly enough!

Update my review. Robert is willing to help me with my difficult and complex divorce case. I'm very grateful and happy with his knowledgeable staffs also make this a great experience.

Awful experience all around. Read reviews and had 2 other consultations. Chose to go with Bawden and Kochis. Big mistake. From the nasty office assistant Serina Lopez to Robert Kochis I feel as though my best interests were never a concern of the firm, rather just a case number and paycheck to them. I lost my son, my house, my dignity, and my job thanks to Bawden and Kochis. Plus a motion to move court rooms was never submitted as I requested, this in itself is legal malpractice. You will be nicked and dimed with this firm. I could have saved quite a bit of $$$ and represented myself with the same results or better. Absolute waste of money and time. Robert is a talker and makes you believe he actually knows what he is doing, but he doesn't and it's obvious when he's in court as he is ill prepared to even offer an objection. Robert constantly told me on 5 separate occasions "I'll stop right now and you can represent yourself." Who says that to a client? Every time I would bring stuff up to Robert he would tell me "I'm preparing the best defense I feel will work" and ignore what I would have to say or any direction I wanted to go. He would argue with me and say things like "have you been in front of this judge before?" Then say "well I have and I know what works." Ironic, because it didn't work and now I'm the only left with a screwed up life as a result of the incompetence. I demanded on several occasions copies of the evidence from opposing counsel that was submitted to court, to date still haven't received anything. This would have at least allowed me to have a response. Or the fact that new evidence was submitted by opposing party that differed from the original pleadings was never objected to is crazy and further demonstrates malpractice and incompetence. During court hearings I would show up on time but typically Robert and opposing council would not. I didn't care if opposing council was there or not but Robert sure did. He stated to me on more than 2 occasions, we just have to wait because opposing counsel is not here and that "this is part of the legal process." All the shoddy gamesmanship by opposing council was allowed by Robert and the firm, almost as though they had some back door deal going on our maybe still do. Wouldn't put it past him. Once I put down 5k deposit I let the firm know when it ran out I'm done with their legal services. 5k came and gone like nothing, then I'm contacted by nasty Serina to put down another deposit and told I owe some ridiculous amount in addition to. I was charged another 5k which I never even authorized, I disputed billing and was told I'm wrong. I never received monthly billing statements on time or at all. To add insult to injury, the firm is so incompetent they couldn't even file the forms correctly to get removed as council for me, I had to do it myself. So much for a law firm knowing law procedures. The entire staff of the firm are a bunch of inconsiderate baffons.If your considering this firm, go somewhere else. If 0 stars was an option I would have selected 0. If you love your kids go somewhere else. You've been warned... Update to response by Robert Kochis: Opposing party only submitted a couple pictures of which nobody is even sure if the pictures are even the petitioner because your so bad at your job you didn't even challenge or object to anything. I had a sheriff deputy testify on my behalf during trial that contradicted the lies being told by opposing party, I'm not a lawyer but I'm 100% sure anybody with half a brain could have got the case dismissed. Let's not forget the petitioner is a felon and has a long extensive criminal history. Oh, let's not also forget your pitiful closing arguments, you were told to go over the timeline, rather you took it upon your self to talk about stuff that was insignificant but important to nobody outside of you. Anybody reading this review be warned the firm of Bawden and Kochis will screw you and make it seem like they did you a favor. Disgusting and pitiful. Should not be allowed to practice law. Be warned, don't be next..
