I was seeking a restraining order against a neighbor who had been harassing me, but the neighbor seemed to know Jackson personally. Jackson’s demeanor was harsh and mean. Apparently, he also knew the judge, so anything I questioned was stricken from the record. The best part was when the judge denied Jackson’s request for $5,000 attorney fees! I would not recommend this attorney to anyone for any reason.
Apr 23, 2024 · Lorene DabneyI had a terrible experience with this office. While Mr. Jackson was very knowledgeable and professional, the services provided by his staff were slow and inadequate. They never provided me with any updates on anything. They never bothered to explain the process to me (unless specifically asked), and did not keep me apprised of any updates unless I called the office. One notable instance was when I emailed my completed forms and received no response for over a month. I finally called to inquire, and discovered that their staff had not even opened the email! At that point, I spent an hour back and forth via email trying to explain to them how to download files from Google Drive. In this day and age, who doesn't have a Google account? (They use an AOL account for email by the way). It was frustrating to say the least. This really seems like technological incompetence to me. I should not have to explicitly ask how they normally obtain files electronically from clients. They finally told me—after an hour of trying to get them to use Google Drive—that they usually get files through One Drive. Why didn't they just tell me this from the start? Instead, they wasted my time with multiple emails, only to have to wait until the next day so that she could confirm with Mr. Jackson if they have a Google account. Aside from the fact that I had to explain the basics of Google Drive, what were they doing for a whole month between the time I sent the forms to them and when I finally called for a status update? I understand there was a personal issue with one of their staff, but I was never informed that there would be any delay. I certainly didn't expect that my email would not have even been opened after an entire month. They were mostly unresponsive to emails. In my experience, no work was ever done on my case until I called the office to ask about it. On several occasions, their phone mailboxes were full, and there was no way to reach anyone. This was especially frustrating. For the very little amount of work that was done on my case, I got very little back of the amount I paid. I finally had to cease working with them because of how frustrating it was to get a hold of anyone to actually do work on my case. I understand that my case was perhaps routine or mundane, but I felt the service (or lack thereof) was highly unprofessional. I got some of my money back, but considering the amount of work was actually done on my case, I felt very overcharged. I did not feel valued as a client, and I certainly did NOT get my money's worth. In my opinion, I paid way too much for what they actually did (or did not do), only to have to pay AGAIN to get it completely redone elsewhere. Given all of that, I cannot recommend them.

His team went above and beyond filling paperwork for me, contacting the other party and getting everything in order. The outcome of my case was even better than expected. I trust his judgement and would hire him again I'm a heartbeat. We were dealing with custody and child support with someone who was out of state. I had been going back and fourth between court and trying to handle things on my own for years with no attorney. I wish I would have hired James from the start. Family matters are such a sensitive subject and the entire office really did a great job making the process as easy as possible.
