This law firm is a scam I would give it negative stars if possible and one of the divorce attorneys who works here Sarah Robbins is absolutely terrible. She became hostile while speaking to her and has no empathy. She does not offer any advice to her elderly clients and lets them blindly sign away their assets and in fact seems to not even care to work or respond once she has been paid. This firm is all about money only. They employ scare tactics to try to keep people from even coming to the office. The woman who guards the front desk is more like a bouncer you would encounter at a club and has to only be there to intimidate and scare people into leaving. Also, what law firm keeps their doors locked to their paying clients they even have a sign posted on the front notifying clients to leave if they don’t have an appointment photo attached for proof of this ridiculousness. They also only provide phone appointments even when dealing with a client who is a deaf veteran. It’s absolutely despicable the way my grandfather was treated by this law firm, specifically Sarah Robbins who does not return or even read emails sent to her. When on a phone conference with her I even asked her if she had read my email that I sent to her she flat out said no, what a joke. A complaint will be filed with the Texas Bar association because this scam of a law firm must be stopped. Also as I have seen on other reviews no I was not a client, I am writing this for my grandfather who was client, is in his mid 80s, is a veteran, and is someone who was taken advantage of by this firm. Please if you are thinking of hiring them do not. Save your self the money, regret and stress as they seem to get off on taking advantage of people.

For residents across Texas, particularly in the bustling city of Arlington, seeking legal assistance is often a critical step in navigating life's challenges. Whether you're facing a family matter, looking for help with personal legal issues, or require professional advice, understanding your options and what to expect from a legal firm is paramount. This guide aims to provide a general overview of what to consider when seeking legal counsel in the Texas region, focusing on accessibility and key features that define a supportive legal experience.

When it comes to legal matters, the decision of choosing a representative is significant. It's about finding a partner who not only understands the intricacies of the law but also respects your individual circumstances and communicates effectively. The legal landscape in Texas offers a variety of firms and attorneys, each with their own approach to client interaction and service delivery. It’s vital to engage with a legal professional who prioritizes your needs, offers clear and actionable advice, and maintains open lines of communication throughout your case. Trust and transparency are foundational pillars in any successful attorney-client relationship, ensuring you feel confident and informed at every stage of your legal journey.

The importance of empathetic and client-focused service cannot be overstated. Legal issues can be inherently stressful, and having an attorney who demonstrates compassion and a genuine interest in your well-being can significantly alleviate that burden. This involves more than just legal expertise; it requires an understanding of the human element behind every case, ensuring that advice is not only legally sound but also sensitive to your personal situation.

A specific legal entity, the Law Offices of Mark M. Childress, is located at 100 W Pioneer Pkwy #107, Arlington, TX 76010, USA. This address places it in a central and often busy part of Arlington, making it potentially accessible from various points within the city and surrounding areas. Pioneer Parkway is a significant thoroughfare in Arlington, suggesting that the office might be reached via public transportation or by personal vehicle. Its location within a suite implies an office setting typical of many legal practices. For those residing in Arlington and nearby communities such as Grand Prairie, Mansfield, or Fort Worth, this location offers a local option for legal services. When visiting any legal office, it's always advisable to confirm directions and parking availability beforehand to ensure a smooth arrival.

Accessibility also encompasses the ease with which clients can communicate with their legal team. In today's interconnected world, this often includes not just in-person meetings but also phone consultations, email correspondence, and potentially virtual appointments. Understanding a firm's communication protocols before engaging their services is crucial for ensuring that your preferred method of interaction aligns with their practices. Given the sensitive nature of legal matters, prompt and clear communication from your legal representative is a vital aspect of a positive client experience.

While specific detailed service offerings for the Law Offices of Mark M. Childress are not provided in the publicly available information, based on the nature of a general practice law firm and the context of common legal needs in Texas, a firm like this would typically offer a range of services. Common legal services provided by attorneys in Texas often include:

  • Divorce and Family Law: Assisting with divorce proceedings, child custody, child support, spousal support, and other family-related legal matters.
  • Estate Planning: Helping clients prepare for the future by drafting wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and other essential documents to manage assets and healthcare decisions.
  • Probate Law: Guiding families through the legal process of validating a will and administering a deceased person's estate.
  • Civil Litigation: Representing clients in various disputes that do not involve criminal charges, such as contract disputes, personal injury claims, or property disputes.
  • Business Law: Providing legal counsel for small businesses, including formation, contracts, and dispute resolution.
  • Real Estate Law: Assisting with property transactions, landlord-tenant issues, and real estate disputes.
  • Personal Injury: Representing individuals who have suffered injuries due to the negligence of others.

It is always recommended to directly contact any legal firm to confirm their specific areas of expertise and to discuss how they can assist with your particular legal needs.

When considering any legal service, understanding the features and highlights that define their practice is essential. While positive features are generally sought, it's equally important for Texans to be aware of any aspects that might impact their experience. For instance, some firms prioritize highly structured appointment systems, while others might emphasize a more open-door policy. Effective communication, transparency in billing, and a clear understanding of client needs are universally important features for any legal service. Clients typically seek attorneys who are not only knowledgeable in their field but also responsive, empathetic, and dedicated to achieving the best possible outcome for their case. The way a firm manages client interactions, from initial contact to ongoing case management, contributes significantly to the overall client experience.

It's important to ask prospective firms about their client communication policies, fee structures, and how they handle client queries. A firm that clearly outlines its processes and expectations from the outset can help foster a more positive and transparent working relationship. Additionally, observing how a firm's staff interacts with clients and how they manage their office environment can provide valuable insights into their operational philosophy and client care standards.

For any legal service provider, promotions or special offers can vary widely. Some firms might offer initial free or reduced-cost consultations to allow potential clients to discuss their case without an immediate financial commitment. Others may have specific fee structures for certain types of cases, or payment plans to assist clients with managing legal costs. Due to the sensitive nature of legal fees and specific services, it is always recommended for Texans to directly contact the Law Offices of Mark M. Childress or any other legal firm to inquire about their current fee schedule, payment options, and any promotional offers that may be available. Transparency regarding costs and services is a key indicator of a professional and client-focused legal practice.

For locals in Texas, especially those in the Arlington area, making an informed decision about legal representation is paramount. While convenience of location is a factor, the ultimate suitability of a legal firm rests on its ability to provide professional, ethical, and effective counsel that aligns with your individual needs and expectations. It is crucial for individuals to conduct their own due diligence, including researching a firm's reputation, reviewing available feedback, and engaging in direct communication to assess their approach and suitability.

When selecting a lawyer, Texans should prioritize firms that demonstrate clear communication, transparent practices, and a genuine commitment to their clients' well-being. This includes assessing how a firm handles client inquiries, manages appointments, and provides advice. The relationship between a client and their attorney is built on trust, and choosing a legal partner who instills confidence and provides peace of mind is essential for navigating the legal process successfully. Ultimately, the best choice for legal representation in Texas is a firm that not only meets your legal requirements but also treats you with the respect, empathy, and professional integrity you deserve.

Very bad experience. I paid $1,500 for my first uncontested divorce in total. I paid $2,000 for my second uncontested divorce in total. I hired attorneys both times. I tried to get a uncontested child modification through Mark Childress. I told him I was quoted a $4,000 retainer by another attorney and could not afford it. He agreed that was too steep. They ended up trying to charge me over $4,000 in total. Not a man of his word. I suggest if you have an uncontested divorce or modification just do it on your own. We have to take an oath in court. In a system that is supposed to be based on honesty, integrity, and truth, this guy is not that. When called out they will just respond with their terms. Easy copy and paste. They tried to charge me when I corrected them on their grammatical errors in my paperwork. What a joke. Not sure how the other two locations have more than a 1 star review.

Would give this office a 0 star if possible. I used this firm to amend my custody agreement, which was completely non contested. I was informed that I would be going through the paralegal since it was such an easy case, but after over $1,000 in fees they moved me to an attorney and charged me for moving my case to someone else. Also, they forgot to ask me if I wanted to change the child support agreement until AFTER all documents had been approved and signed. If I would have agreed to a meeting with them, it would have started the process all over and I would have been billed thousands more than what I had already paid. I ended services, and STILL received fees from them for random miscellaneous charges. I felt so helpless, but just kept paying. They charge you to go over the fees with you. This firm is super vague, and demands payment immediately, or you will be penalized. I recommend going with a smaller firm. 10/10 WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND.
