Legal Rights Center Introduce

When searching for "Lawyers Near Me" in Minneapolis, local users may come across the Legal Rights Center, located at 1611 Park Ave, Minneapolis, MN 55404, USA. This organization appears to be positioned to offer legal assistance to the community. To provide an objective introduction based on the limited information available, it's important to consider the details provided, including the address and the feedback from individuals who have interacted with the center.

While the reviews do not offer insights into the physical environment of the Legal Rights Center's office, their location in Minneapolis suggests accessibility for local residents seeking legal support. The absence of descriptive information about the office space means potential users will need to consider other factors, such as the services offered and the nature of the assistance provided, based on other available information or direct contact.

The provided reviews offer some indications, albeit limited and negative, regarding the services and features of the Legal Rights Center. One reviewer mentioned being made to wait for several months only to be informed that the center could not take their case due to a "busy workload." This suggests that while the center may aim to provide assistance, their capacity to take on new cases might be limited, potentially leading to delays or inability to provide support in all situations. The reviewer also noted that their trial was postponed by seven months, although it is unclear if this delay was directly related to the Legal Rights Center's decision not to take the case.

The second review details an interaction with an individual named Leo at the Legal Rights Center. The reviewer was seeking guidance on reputable resources for sentence commutations in Minnesota, specifically mentioning their past unsuccessful attempts to engage with the Innocence Project. The feedback indicates that the interaction was not helpful and was perceived as negative. The reviewer stated that Leo allegedly interrupted and did not fully listen to the request, instead repeatedly suggesting contacting the supervisor of the Public Defender from a case 16 years prior and the Innocence Project, which the reviewer had already contacted. The reviewer described feeling unheard and upset by the interaction, ultimately ending the call in tears. This review raises concerns about the quality of initial guidance and the communication style experienced by at least one individual seeking assistance.

Based on the limited feedback, some potential features and considerations regarding the Legal Rights Center include:

  • Location in Minneapolis: Their physical address on Park Avenue makes them geographically accessible to many local residents.
  • Potential for High Workload: One review suggests that the center may have a significant number of ongoing cases, potentially impacting their availability to take on new clients or respond promptly.
  • Variable Initial Guidance: The interaction described in the second review raises concerns about the helpfulness and communication style during initial inquiries. It suggests that individuals seeking information or direction may not always receive the support they are looking for.
  • Unclear Scope of Services: The limited information does not specify the areas of law in which the Legal Rights Center specializes or the types of legal assistance they typically provide. Potential users will need to seek this information directly.

Promotional information is not explicitly present in the provided reviews. In fact, the feedback could be interpreted as cautionary rather than promotional. The reviews do not highlight successes or specific positive outcomes achieved by the Legal Rights Center for their clients. Therefore, local users searching for "Lawyers Near Me" will need to weigh these experiences when considering contacting this organization.

Given the limited and negative nature of the available feedback, it is challenging to provide a strong promotional introduction for the Legal Rights Center based solely on this information. Objectively, the reviews suggest potential challenges in terms of availability and the quality of initial interactions. Individuals seeking legal assistance may want to consider these points alongside any other information they can gather about the organization.

For local users in Minneapolis looking for legal help under the category "Lawyers Near Me," the Legal Rights Center at 1611 Park Ave is a listed option. However, the available reviews indicate potential issues with case intake and initial client communication. Therefore, it would be prudent for individuals considering reaching out to the Legal Rights Center to be prepared to clearly articulate their needs and to also explore other legal resources in the Minneapolis area to ensure they find the assistance that best suits their situation.

In conclusion, while the Legal Rights Center is geographically located to serve the Minneapolis community, the limited feedback available presents a mixed picture. Potential clients may experience delays in case acceptance due to workload, and at least one individual reported a negative experience during an initial inquiry. As such, local users searching for legal assistance should consider this information and potentially seek additional information or explore alternative legal service providers in the "Lawyers Near Me" category to make an informed decision about where to seek help.

I reached out to this place to get advice on or even to simply get directed to reputable resources on commutations of sentences in MN. I spoke with Leo who continued to over talk me and not even listen to my actual question. He kept pushing me to contact the supervisor of the PD who represented my dad 16 years ago on a closed case or and continued to over talk me to tell me that they can’t help me and to contact the innocence project who I have contacted over the last 16 years about my dad they can’t help. All I was asking for was not to hire a lawyer just simply something reputable and article anything other than the innocence project regarding commutations in MN. Leo became irritated, didn’t even hear me over spoke me. I left the call in tears I don’t know why he had to be so ugly with me.

I’m only giving two stars because the staff working in the building when I went for help were amazing. They made me feel hopeful after months of dread. I teared up in front of the person helping me, and they closed their door and gave me tissues. I felt very comfortable and taken care of. I didn’t think they’d help me because nowhere else had. They did say they found someone willing to take on my case, but unfortunately I never received any communication from them. They did file on to my case though, which actually made it more difficult in court when they didn’t show up. The judge was a little confused and didn’t really want to see me when my representation didn’t show up. I convinced them to see me without my representation present. Faith Bickner was then taken off my case by the judge. I do think their mission and what they stand for is great, but it’s unfortunate that the attorneys assigned to help people never reach out and ghost them the day of court. 3 hours later and still have not received a call or text back. I do believe I worked with a person named Ed or something similar, I lost their business card. The thing I remember most about them was their jordans. I just wanted to give them a shout out for helping me out and comforting me even if it didn’t result in any actual legal help. I hope Faith helps the other people she agreed to help so they don’t have to experience what I did.

I am glad I asked Legal Rights Center for help after some crime accusations. LRC lawyer Marecca Vertin was always in time for appointments, filing court documents, and court appearances. She also helped me to understand all my legal options. This lead to reaching an acceptable compromise with prosecution, giving me a chance to minimize damage. For me, this is an additional prove that LRC is to help people, but not to make money from people missteps as some paid lawyer do.

All I can say is WOW! With the help of a great knowledgeable, Patient, get to bussiness atttituttude Attorney like Mr. IZEK H. I wouldn't be enjoying freedom from an old case that is now resolved without me even having to return to MN if it wasn't for Izek. I'm born and raised in Minnesota and I knew I needed a Minnesota Attorney to help me even though I live in Arizona. Thank you isn't enough but you may have a wonderful life and continue to help others like you helped me. God Bless
