It is with a heavy heart that I leave this review. I am a man, a father, a friend, and a businessman. I’ve owned businesses for over 17 years now and HAVE NEVER LEFT A REVIEW LIKE THIS ONE. Why am I writing this in a post about Scott? Because through my extensive 17 year career, working with many, many, many professionals with clients, business partners, families, and companies, Scott is, BY FAR, the WORST PROFESSIONAL I’VE EVER WORKED WITH. Now, that’s saying a lot- I have some stories, let me tell you. Far too many for this review. When my ex-wife and I signed up to use Scott’s Parent Coordinator services, I was very hopeful. He told us from day one that his entire job was to work for our kids and make sure the parenting plan was followed. I was all for that, I actually think I have a very fair and good parenting plan overall (of course I’d make changes, but who wouldn’t?), so that sounded good to me. He told us that it was his intent to work with us to help us better communicate and co-parent…so much so that he’d work his way out of a job…which, he did…but not as he described. I’m still unclear to this day if Scott had private communication that favored her perspective with my ex-wife, but every decision he made favored what she made noise about. Even when, sometimes especially when, it disagreed with the court and the parenting plan. In fact, he once stated that he was in charge of whether the children attend parenting time- not me, not my ex, and not the courts! Saying that Scott has a God complex and is out of control, is putting it mildly. Unfortunately, the only thing I got out of working with Scott is additional court cases, attorney bills, and less simplicity than if he hadn’t been there in the first place. He often did not answer my emails, would not take my calls, and simply wouldn’t communicate. Then, even though it was his job, he included attorneys in many emails and made us use them when it was supposed to be his job. Not only did he not do his job, but he made it more difficult and costly for everyone else involved. I believe Scott is losing his memory as well as he often didn’t remember things we discussed, or even things he emailed. The courts have it in writing that Scott was completely biased towards my ex-wife and never helped, in fact just hurt, my desire to coparent with my ex. Since Scott got involved, the relationship with my ex has gotten worse and he poured gasoline on a raging fire. All the meanwhile, I always stayed respectful, answered all of his emails, and paid all the bills. Thankfully, the court saw how terrible Scott did and did not extend his 2 year contract, thank God! If I could sue Scott, I would. If I could give Scott ZERO stars, I would. If I could urge you to never, ever, ever, under any circumstance use him, I would. He will only hurt your case, not help it.

Based on the provided customer reviews, the primary service discussed in detail is that of Parent Coordinator, provided by Scott Leibenguth. One reviewer explicitly states that they and their ex-wife "signed up to use Scott’s Parent Coordinator services." The review details the expectations set forth regarding working for the children's best interests and facilitating better co-parenting communication. However, the reviewer's experience indicates a divergence from these expectations. While the reviews focus on Parent Coordinator services, it is possible that Leibenguth Law offers other legal services as well. Potential clients with needs beyond Parent Coordination should contact the firm directly to inquire about the full scope of their services.
The features of Scott Leibenguth's services as a Parent Coordinator, as described by the two available customer reviews, are overwhelmingly negative and raise significant concerns. One reviewer, a businessman with extensive experience working with professionals, describes Scott Leibenguth as "BY FAR, the WORST PROFESSIONAL I’VE EVER WORKED WITH." This strong condemnation is based on the reviewer's experience during the Parent Coordination process. Key issues raised include alleged bias towards the ex-wife, even when contradicting court orders and the parenting plan, and a perceived "God complex" and out-of-control behavior. The reviewer also reports poor communication, including unanswered emails and unreturned calls, as well as a tendency to involve attorneys unnecessarily, increasing costs and complexity. The reviewer further suggests potential memory issues on Scott's part, noting instances where he did not remember discussed or emailed information. The court is cited as having documented Scott's alleged bias and lack of helpfulness, with the reviewer stating that the relationship with their ex-wife worsened due to Scott's involvement. The reviewer also accuses Scott of billing for significantly more hours than worked.
The second review, while shorter, echoes the theme of poor communication and unprofessionalism. This client recounts difficulty in reaching someone by phone, describing the person they spoke with as sounding "very unprofessional like she didn’t want to be on the phone." The client also reports unanswered emails and a preference for email over phone calls from the firm, which they found unsatisfactory. This reinforces the concerns raised in the first review regarding communication practices.
Given the severely negative nature of the available customer reviews, it is impossible to identify any positive promotional aspects or unique selling points for Leibenguth Law or Scott Leibenguth based solely on this information. The consistent themes of alleged bias, poor communication, inefficiency, increased costs, and unprofessionalism serve as significant red flags for potential clients. There is no indication of any promotional offers or client testimonials that would suggest a positive service experience. In fact, the reviews strongly urge potential clients to avoid using Scott Leibenguth's services.
For local users in the Lake Oswego, OR area who encounter Leibenguth Law through the "Lawyers Near Me" platform, it is strongly recommended to exercise extreme caution and to thoroughly investigate alternative legal and mediation service providers. The consistent negative feedback regarding professionalism, communication, and alleged bias should not be ignored. Potential clients should consider seeking consultations with other Parent Coordinators or legal professionals in the area to compare services, communication styles, and client satisfaction levels before making a decision. It would be prudent to seek references and additional reviews from other sources, if available, to gain a more comprehensive understanding of the service quality offered by Leibenguth Law.
