Apr 17, 2025 · Christian JonesComing back 7 months later. I don't want to blame Taylor fully. At the end of the day it's a matter of not knowing what questions to ask. But my rent lease was negotiated in a way that I'm now going to be paying $1,000 more then I had anticipated. Again, didn't know what questions to ask or fully understand what I thought I did. Was still helpful in negotiating somethings, but at the end of the day I still spent $3,000 and got screwed over anyway by my landlord. My recommendation is if you want to hire someone to look over your lease do it with the expectation that you'll still have things come up you didn't expect. There apparently is no silver bullet here. You're not paying for someone to protect you fully, you're paying someone to limit potential harm.
