He dragged my case out for 3 years on an oui drugs. They took my blood at the hospital I had no drugs in my system. He sold me up the rivetr to the DA. I got the worst possible punishment I could have gotten. That's the last time I ever use a lawyer that eats lunch with the district attorneys. I kept saying let's plead it out let's plead out let's plead it out. I was on pretrial probation the entire time which is basically probation getting drug tested and everything. When pretrial probation is actually supposed to be an agreement between you and the court where if you stay out of trouble for a set amount of time your case gets dropped. Not in Plymouth though.

The establishment of McLeod Law Group, LLC in Hingham suggests their aim to provide legal services to the residents and businesses in the local community. While the firm's name broadly indicates legal services, the provided customer reviews offer specific, albeit critical, perspectives on their handling of certain types of cases. These reviews are crucial for local users to consider when evaluating whether McLeod Law Group, LLC aligns with their legal needs.

One customer review details a negative experience involving an OUI (Operating Under the Influence) drugs case. The reviewer claims that despite blood tests at the hospital showing no drugs in their system, the case was allegedly prolonged for three years. The reviewer expresses dissatisfaction with the outcome, stating they received the "worst possible punishment" and suggests a perceived conflict of interest due to the attorney supposedly having lunch with district attorneys. The reviewer also mentions repeatedly requesting to "plead it out" and being on pretrial probation for the duration, which they describe as effectively being on regular probation without the expected benefit of case dismissal upon successful completion in Plymouth. This review raises serious concerns about the handling of this particular case, communication, and the perceived effectiveness of the representation.

The second review is equally critical, referring to the attorney as "THE WORST ‘PUBLIC APPOINTED’ attorney I’ve ever met." The reviewer alleges a complete lack of communication ("Never called me back once") and accuses the attorney of misrepresenting their actions to the judge ("lied to the judge he sent a letter to me"). The reviewer questions the practice of putting important information in a letter and states they are now in default and will not pay the court for this attorney. This review highlights severe issues with communication, professional conduct, and the perceived quality of representation in a public appointment scenario.

Based on these two customer reviews, several potential issues and features are highlighted, which prospective clients should carefully consider:

  • Alleged Protraction of Cases: One review suggests a significant delay in resolving a case, lasting three years.
  • Claims of Ineffective Representation: Both reviewers express extreme dissatisfaction with the legal services they received, citing poor outcomes and a lack of communication.
  • Concerns about Communication: One reviewer explicitly states the attorney "Never called me back once," indicating a significant breakdown in communication.
  • Allegations of Misconduct: One review accuses the attorney of lying to the judge, which is a serious ethical concern.
  • Doubts about Client Advocacy: The OUI case reviewer suggests the attorney was not advocating for their best interests, mentioning a perceived bias towards the District Attorney's office.
  • Negative Experience with Public Appointment: The second review specifically labels the attorney as the worst public-appointed attorney encountered, raising concerns about representation in such cases.
  • Questionable Case Strategy: The OUI reviewer's repeated requests to "plead it out" suggest a disagreement with the chosen legal strategy.

It is crucial to approach these reviews with objectivity, recognizing that they represent individual experiences and may not be representative of every case handled by McLeod Law Group, LLC. However, the severity and consistency of the negative feedback regarding communication and perceived effectiveness warrant careful consideration by potential clients.

Local users considering McLeod Law Group, LLC for their legal needs should take the following steps:

  • Contact the firm directly: Reach out to McLeod Law Group, LLC at (877) 735-9073 to discuss your specific legal needs and ask about their areas of expertise and experience.
  • Inquire about their approach to client communication: Given the concerns raised in the reviews, it is essential to understand their communication practices and how they keep clients informed.
  • Ask about their experience in cases similar to yours: If you are facing an OUI or are seeking a public-appointed attorney, specifically inquire about their track record and approach in such cases.
  • Seek additional information or reviews: Look for other potential reviews or information available online to gain a broader perspective on the firm's reputation and client experiences.
  • Consider a consultation with multiple attorneys: It is always advisable to consult with several attorneys before making a decision to ensure you find representation that you are confident in.

The information provided here is based solely on the two available customer reviews. Without further information or perspectives, it is challenging to offer a comprehensive assessment of McLeod Law Group, LLC. However, the strong negative feedback regarding case handling, communication, and professional conduct should prompt potential clients to exercise caution and conduct thorough due diligence.

While McLeod Law Group, LLC is located in Hingham, MA, and can be contacted at the provided phone numbers, the available online feedback raises significant concerns about the quality of their legal services in the specific cases reviewed. Local users are strongly encouraged to conduct thorough research and seek multiple opinions before deciding to engage this firm for their legal needs.

In conclusion, the available online reviews for McLeod Law Group, LLC, located in Hingham, MA, present serious concerns regarding case management, communication, and the perceived effectiveness of their legal representation in the cases reviewed. Potential clients should carefully consider this feedback and conduct thorough due diligence before engaging their services. It is recommended to contact the firm directly to understand their perspective and to seek alternative legal counsel to ensure their needs are met effectively.

THE WORST ‘PUBLIC APPOINTED’ attorney I’ve ever met. Never called me back once, lied to the judge he sent a letter to me, even if he did what lawyer puts information in a letter. So now I’m defaulted. Will not being paying the court for this lawyer.

A few years back, any violation of my rights were not an acceptable scenario. Richard helped me out and did what needed to be done.
