I’m extremely sorry that Pima County Bar Association referred me to Douglas Clark. I contacted him immediately after being referred, but received no reply, and had to call four more times. Eight days later, he finally returned my call, but he clearly had no interest in hearing my case and didn’t even try to pretend otherwise. He was walking around doing other things while putting me on speakerphone, and answered my questions with useless words like, “I don’t… don’t know… what?”, “I don’t know what you’re gonna do,” “I don’t know either,” and “Yeah, could be.” Definitely the worst and most disrespectful attorney I have ever talked to.

This central location places the firm within a key historical and administrative district of downtown Tucson, which is generally well-connected and straightforward to navigate.

Being on North Meyer Avenue, the office benefits from its proximity to various city landmarks and transportation hubs. For those utilizing public transportation, numerous bus routes operated by Sun Tran typically serve the downtown area, providing convenient access to the firm's location from different neighborhoods within Tucson. This makes it a practical option for clients who may rely on public transit or prefer to avoid driving. If you are driving, the downtown area usually offers several public parking options, including garages and metered street parking, though it's always advisable to anticipate potential parking availability and time requirements, especially during peak hours. Services Offered

Mesch Clark Rothschild is known for offering a broad spectrum of legal services, catering to both individual and business clients. • Real Estate Law: Assisting with property transactions, land use and zoning issues, landlord-tenant disputes, and real estate development.

  • Personal Injury: While some general firms handle personal injury, it's a specific area. If offered, this would involve representing individuals injured due to the negligence of others, seeking compensation for damages.

  • Employment Law: Advising both employers and employees on matters such as wrongful termination, discrimination, wage disputes, and compliance with labor laws.

  • Family Law: Handling cases related to divorce, child custody, child support, and other domestic relations issues.

  • Estate Planning and Probate: Assisting clients with wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and the administration of estates.

  • Creditor's Rights/Bankruptcy: Representing creditors in bankruptcy proceedings or assisting clients with debt collection and enforcement of judgments.

Features / Highlights

Mesch Clark Rothschild, as an established law firm in Tucson, typically highlights features that reflect their experience, capabilities, and client approach. Based on general firm practices and the provided context, their key features may include:

  • Long-Standing Presence in Tucson: The firm has a significant history in the Tucson legal community, which often signifies deep roots, established connections, and a thorough understanding of local legal nuances and judicial practices.

  • Diverse Practice Areas: Their ability to offer a range of legal services (as presumed in the "Services Offered" section) suggests that they can cater to a wide array of legal needs, potentially serving as a single point of contact for clients with multiple legal concerns over time.

  • Experienced Attorneys: Firms of this stature typically have a team of experienced attorneys with diverse backgrounds and specializations, contributing to the firm's overall expertise and capacity to handle complex cases.

However, it is crucial to address the significant concerns raised by the provided customer reviews. These reviews highlight potential issues that prospective clients should be aware of:

  • Concerns about Responsiveness and Communication: One review explicitly states a significant delay in receiving a reply and multiple calls being necessary to get a return call. This suggests potential issues with timely client communication, which is paramount in legal matters.

  • Perceived Lack of Interest and Disrespectful Conduct: A client described an attorney as having "no interest in hearing my case and didn’t even try to pretend otherwise," engaging in other activities during the call, and using "useless words." This indicates a potential issue with client engagement and professional courtesy.

  • Concerns about Client Discontinuation/Termination: Another review describes a highly vulnerable client, having survived a cardiac arrest and suffering subsequent injuries, being "dumped" by the firm. This raises serious questions about the firm's client retention policies and compassion, especially for individuals facing extreme adversity.

  • Impact on Client Trust: The reviews convey a severe loss of trust, with one client stating, "I will never ever trust another law firm or attorney again!" This reflects deep dissatisfaction with the service received.

While established firms generally aim for high standards, these specific reviews suggest that Mesch Clark Rothschild may have areas where their client service deviates significantly from expectations. Therefore, while considering the firm's experience and breadth of services, prospective clients in Arizona should conduct thorough due diligence, including discussing communication expectations and firm policies directly.

Promotions or Special Offers

In the professional legal services industry, especially for established firms like Mesch Clark Rothschild that handle a variety of practice areas, "promotions" in the traditional retail sense are generally not offered. Instead, law firms typically provide client-centric services that add value and facilitate access to legal assistance.

While the provided information does not explicitly state any specific "offers" from Mesch Clark Rothschild, common practices among reputable law firms, particularly those dealing with a broad client base, include:

  • Initial Consultations: Most law firms offer an initial consultation to prospective clients. This allows individuals or businesses to discuss their legal matter with an attorney, receive preliminary advice, and understand the potential legal avenues available to them. Depending on the firm's policy and the complexity of the case, this initial consultation might be free or offered at a reduced rate. This is an invaluable service as it provides critical guidance without immediate financial commitment for a full legal engagement.

  • Flexible Fee Arrangements: For certain types of cases, such as personal injury, contingency fee arrangements (where legal fees are only paid if the client wins their case) are common. For other practice areas, firms might offer various billing structures (e.g., hourly rates, flat fees for specific services) that can be discussed during the consultation.

It is always recommended that interested parties contact Mesch Clark Rothschild directly to inquire about their specific consultation policies, fee structures, and any other arrangements they might offer to new clients. This direct communication is essential to understand the firm's approach to client engagement and financial terms before proceeding with legal services.

Conclusion: Why this place is suitable for locals

For locals in Tucson and across Arizona, Mesch Clark Rothschild stands as a long-established legal institution with a presence in the community. Their central location in downtown Tucson makes them easily accessible for individuals and businesses seeking legal counsel across various practice areas. A firm with a history of serving the community suggests a deep understanding of local legal nuances and a breadth of experience in handling diverse cases, which can be beneficial for Arizonans facing a range of legal challenges.

However, it is critically important for prospective clients to consider all aspects of the firm's client feedback. While an established firm might offer a wide array of services and experienced attorneys, the very concerning reviews regarding communication, client engagement, and client discontinuation suggest that individuals should exercise significant caution and conduct thorough due diligence. For locals, suitability will heavily depend on directly addressing these concerns during an initial consultation, clearly outlining expectations for communication, attorney conduct, and the firm's approach to client care. While the firm's presence and scope of services might initially appear suitable, a direct and transparent conversation about service quality and client support is essential to ensure that Mesch Clark Rothschild can meet a local's specific needs and expectations for legal representation in Arizona.

Shame on this law firm and Robert Way. I had a cardiac arrest with a 4% chance of surviving which I did. Came home and fell and broke my left hip and shoulder. Had a lot of problems with speech and communicating and this firm decided to dump me as their client. I will never ever trust another law firm or attorney again!

One of the oldest and most respected Tucson Law Firms. My first call for any legal or contract advice.

My parents lived in Sierra Vista. I live out of state. My parents had a living trust and a will. The living trust made it so easy to settle much of their estate. Unfortunately, there are a few out of state assets that they did not transfer to the trust. I spoke to Mr. Robert Way yesterday and he indicated that I actually would be better served by contacting an attorney in the states where the other assets are located. Refreshing to get that kind of honesty in today's world. If I lived in Arizona, I would definitely use his services for anything he would be willing to handle.

We've required the services of the lawyers here for almost ten years. Without exception, every one we have interacted with are personable, kind, attentive and very professional. This is not a discount legal office, but there is value in the somewhat higher fees MCR charges, which shows in the final results. We have never been unhappy.
