Marissa Washington specifically is the person that mishandled this claim... DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!! My vehicle was struck by a city trash truck on 1/11/24 and since it is a "city vehicle", the claim goes under my insurance. So in the process of getting things settled with the city I got 2 separate estimates for repairs that both totalled between $6000-7000 but when it came time to get an estimate from progressive their repairs only totalled $3300. That's the first thing that I found to be off about this interaction with Marissa. The next thing that through me off was that she told me on multiple occasions that this incident was going to be covered under my " underinsured/ uninsured" motorist insurance which has a deductable of $250 and when I finally got my check, I was charged the full amount of my comprehensive insurance deductable which is $1500. After repeated attempts to contact Marissa, her exact reasoning behind running it through my comprehensive insurace was that " her boss told her to do it that way" I told her that I would like that reasoning in writing and now after multiple failed attempts to contact her I haven't received her reasoning in writing or a response at all. Need in mind that this happened six months ago.
Welcome to "Lawyers Near Me," your platform for connecting with legal professionals in your local area. Today, we are providing information about Miller & Milone PC, a law firm located at 100 Quentin Roosevelt Blvd # 2, Garden City, NY 11530, USA. This location within a commercial building in Garden City suggests a professional setting for the firm's operations and client interactions. However, it is essential for local users to consider the diverse range of experiences reported by recent clients when evaluating this firm for their legal needs.
The office suite number indicates that Miller & Milone PC operates from a dedicated space within the building, likely equipped for client consultations, legal work, and administrative functions. While specific details about the firm's size, the number of attorneys, or the specific amenities offered are not detailed online, a physical presence in a commercial building typically signifies a professional legal practice. However, it is crucial to consider the varying perspectives shared in client reviews to gain a comprehensive understanding of the potential client experience.
The available online reviews for Miller & Milone PC present a mixed picture of client experiences, highlighting both significant negative feedback in certain areas and positive experiences in others. One review expresses extreme dissatisfaction, specifically naming "Marissa Washington" as the individual who "mishandled" a claim. The reviewer strongly advises others to "DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!" This negative experience stemmed from a motor vehicle accident claim where the reviewer alleges discrepancies in repair estimates and the application of insurance deductibles. The client reports being quoted coverage under their "underinsured/ uninsured" motorist insurance with a lower deductible but ultimately being charged the higher deductible of their comprehensive insurance. Repeated attempts to obtain a written explanation for this discrepancy from Marissa Washington allegedly went unanswered over a six-month period. This review raises serious concerns about communication, transparency, and the handling of insurance claims within the firm, at least in this specific instance.
In stark contrast, another review offers glowing praise for the firm's work in the area of elder law and Medicaid planning. This client recounts the challenging experience of transitioning their mother to full-time care and expresses confusion about how to proceed. They were referred to Miller and Milone and describe this referral as "the best blessing that our mother and family could have received." The review specifically commends "Tammy and her team" for being "concerned, compassionate and professional" in understanding their mother's wishes and the family's goals. The client highlights the firm's invaluable assistance in managing the "burdensome process of preparing and filling out the paperwork, submitting the application for Community Medicaid, and all of the necessary follow ups." This support allowed the family to focus on caring for their mother, and they express immense gratitude for the firm's professionalism and individual attention. This positive testimonial strongly suggests expertise and a caring approach in the realm of elder law and Medicaid.
The contrasting nature of these reviews indicates that client experiences with Miller & Milone PC may vary significantly depending on the specific legal matter and potentially the attorney or team handling the case. While the negative review regarding the handling of a motor vehicle accident claim is a serious concern and should be carefully considered by potential clients with similar needs, the positive review in the area of elder law suggests a high level of competence and care in that particular field.
Based on the firm's name and the content of the positive review, Miller & Milone PC appears to handle cases in areas such as:
The positive review specifically praises the firm's compassion, professionalism, and thoroughness in handling complex elder law and Medicaid matters. The team led by Tammy is described as highly supportive and effective in navigating bureaucratic processes, which can be invaluable for families facing challenging elder care transitions. This suggests that for individuals seeking assistance with elder law and Medicaid in the Garden City area, Miller & Milone PC may be a strong contender.
However, the negative review regarding the handling of a motor vehicle accident claim serves as a critical warning. Potential clients with personal injury claims, particularly those involving insurance disputes, should be aware of this reported negative experience and may want to inquire specifically about the firm's approach to such cases and the individuals who would be handling their claim. It may be prudent to seek additional references or explore other firms specializing in personal injury law to ensure a positive and effective experience.
The provided phone numbers, (516) 296-1000 and the mobile number +1 516-296-1000, offer a direct means of contact with the firm. Potential clients are encouraged to call and inquire about the specific areas of law relevant to their needs and to ask about the attorneys and staff who would be handling their case. It may be beneficial to request an initial consultation to discuss their legal matter in detail and assess the firm's suitability based on their specific circumstances and the information gleaned from the client reviews.
As there is no specific promotional information available online, the best approach for local users on the "Lawyers Near Me" platform is to consider the available client feedback in conjunction with their specific legal needs. Individuals seeking assistance with elder law and Medicaid planning may find the positive testimonial particularly reassuring. However, those with personal injury claims should carefully weigh the negative experience reported and consider asking detailed questions about the firm's handling of such cases before making a decision.
In conclusion, Miller & Milone PC in Garden City, NY, appears to have a strong reputation and positive client experiences in the area of elder law and Medicaid planning, as highlighted by a detailed and heartfelt testimonial. However, a significant negative review regarding the handling of a motor vehicle accident claim raises concerns about their services in other areas of law. Local users should carefully consider these contrasting experiences and conduct thorough due diligence, including direct communication with the firm, to determine if Miller & Milone PC is the right legal partner for their specific needs.

Jun 17, 2024 · David SatterfieldIn dealing with the transition of our beloved mother from being an independent, social, contributing member of society to the need for full time care, my siblings and I were very confused how to proceed. We had many questions and received many opinions from friends and associates but not much in the way of strategy or facts. We were referred to Miller and Milone and that was the best blessing that our mother and family could have received. Tammy and her team were concerned, compassionate and professional in making sure they understood our mother, her wishes and what we wanted to do for mom. They took over and allowed us to care for our mother. To be relieved of the burdensome process of preparing and filling out the paperwork, submitting the application for Community Medicaid, and all of the necessary follow ups to make sure everything was progressing properly, was priceless. We could not be more pleased with the professionalism, as well as individual attention, that our mothers needs, and our concerns received. We are eternally thankful for them, and the clarity that they provided during a very difficult time.
Jan 11, 2019 · Kevin doyleIf I could give no star, I would. They have been calling us for weeks offering their help. We dealt with Natalie Esquivel. I was just giving her information I received from my ex, after verifying the information it was not true. Not her fault at all but that she does not even take the time to call me to inform me of the decision when the bill is $5000 is really unprofessional and a waste of time because these matters are time sensitive. To top it off, when I called her, she was really disobliging about the whole thing then LIED that she left a voicemail, but not sure to which number. We listened to all our voicemails again and she never even tried to call us. The rating is for the unprofessional way she handled things after the process did not go through and how she replied to me after I called her. I had a right to at least be informed of the decision as soon as she received it.
