Very Shady law firm. They abandoned my case (my lawyer left the firm with 1 day notice to me) and let the paralegal file my entire case, charging me $10,000 without having any meeting with an attorney. Do not risk your family wellbeing on these frauds.
As part of the "Lawyers Near Me" platform, connecting local users with essential legal services, we introduce Pacific Cascade Legal, a law firm with a presence in Tacoma, Washington. Located at 4301 S Pine St #629, Tacoma, WA 98409, USA, and accessible via phone at (253) 300-4521, Pacific Cascade Legal aims to provide comprehensive legal support across several critical areas of law.
Pacific Cascade Legal is a multi-practice firm dedicated to serving families and individuals across the Pacific Northwest, with offices in both Oregon and Washington. Their commitment extends to not only providing legal representation but also actively giving back to the community. The firm's ethos is built on a foundation of client partnerships, strong client relations, and a unique client-matching program, designed to pair clients with the attorney best suited to their specific case and personality. They emphasize maintaining communication and support, even after a case concludes, through an "aftercare program" and dedicated customer care concierges, aiming for clients to leave their offices in a better position than when they arrived.
The services offered by Pacific Cascade Legal are diverse, addressing various legal needs that often impact families and individuals. Their key practice areas include:
The firm's team comprises a range of legal professionals, including attorneys, limited license legal technicians, and paralegals. This team-based approach aims to provide comprehensive support for each case. Among their team is Christy Carpenter, a Limited License Legal Technician (LLLT) specializing in family law, whose work has been specifically highlighted in client feedback.
The environment at Pacific Cascade Legal, as suggested by their stated values and client feedback, is geared towards client support and professional advocacy. They aim to be innovative, aggressive, and approachable. While the physical office environment in Tacoma is not detailed, the firm's structure with multiple locations across the Pacific Northwest suggests a professional and established presence. Their client-focused approach emphasizes clear communication and ensuring clients feel connected and supported throughout their legal journey. The firm mentions a "client care system" designed to ensure clients feel prepared and informed every step of the way, from the initial call to long after the case concludes.
However, it is important to present a balanced view, as reflected in available customer reviews. One review highlights a significant concern regarding the firm's client management and attorney transitions. This client expressed dissatisfaction, claiming their case was "abandoned" when their lawyer left the firm with only one day's notice. This resulted in a paralegal allegedly handling the entire case and a substantial charge of $10,000 without attorney meetings. This feedback raises questions about internal communication and client continuity within the firm, suggesting potential areas for improvement in managing client expectations and transitions when staff changes occur. It serves as a reminder for prospective clients to inquire about firm policies regarding attorney transitions and case handling.
Conversely, another review provides a strong commendation for Christy Carpenter, a Limited License Legal Technician at Pacific Cascade Legal. The client describes Christy as "an absolutely amazing person" who fought "tooth and nail" to help with their divorce case. This review praises Christy for her consistent communication, prompt return of calls and texts, and her commitment to fighting for the client's interests without unnecessarily prolonging the case for financial gain. The client unequivocally recommends Christy Carpenter for divorce assistance, indicating a highly positive individual experience within the firm. This contrasting feedback underscores that client experiences can vary significantly within a larger firm, often depending on the specific attorney or legal professional assigned to a case.
Promotional information from Pacific Cascade Legal emphasizes their dedication to being a "pillar in the legal community" and their focus on client relationships, integrity, and results. They promote an approach that aims for a "better tomorrow" for their clients. They offer a "client match program" to align clients with the most suitable attorney on their team and an "aftercare program" to provide ongoing support even after the case is resolved. They highlight that their attorneys are "homegrown" and understand the personal and legal challenges clients face, committing to clearly explain rights and preserve interests.
In summary, Pacific Cascade Legal in Tacoma presents itself as a versatile law firm offering expertise in family law, personal injury, estate planning, and bankruptcy. Their promotional materials highlight a strong client-centric approach, emphasizing support, clear communication, and a commitment to positive outcomes. While the firm has garnered positive testimonials for individual practitioners like Christy Carpenter, the negative feedback regarding case handling and communication during attorney transitions suggests that prospective clients should conduct thorough due diligence and discuss firm protocols for case management, especially regarding attorney availability and billing practices. For local users on "Lawyers Near Me" seeking assistance in these areas, Pacific Cascade Legal offers a broad range of services, and direct communication (phone: (253) 300-4521) is advisable to understand their approach and ensure it aligns with individual needs and expectations.

Feb 22, 2025 · J KChristy Carpenter is an absolutely amazing person, if it wasn't for her I'd still be married. From the first day I talked to her I never questioned whether she was right for me, I knew she would fight to help me with my case and she has every step of the way. Christy always kept me informed of what was going on and she always returned my phone calls or texts as soon as possible. There are those in Christy's profession that are in it for the money and will draw out your case as long as possible and charge you as much as they can. Christy Carpenter is not one of them, she will fight tooth and nail to help you while working with you on your finances. I highly recommend Christy Carpenter to help you with your divorce.
Aug 10, 2024 · barbara stockemerSave your money, do NOT hire Pacific Cascade Legal. You're probably better off going without any representation, instead of wasting tens of thousands of dollars on their "service."
Jan 31, 2025 · Casey AsperI'm not sure how the rest of the company operates but, the LLLT was awful. She didn't help advocate for me in any way, incredibly difficult to get a hold of, and I was constantly left feeling like I didn't matter. I went months without hearing back from her and was charged for every tiny little thing.
Jul 09, 2024 · Tiffany DayNot sure how this is supposed to be good, spent over 18,000 with this firm for a divorce! And was not Evan half way through it ! Was transferred to a different lawyer in the firm ,was informed he was a better in court attorney! First appearance in the court room Attorny couldn’t Evan speak clearly , it feels like all the paper work I gave them was put into a file and handed to the judge to figure out , I feel like I paid all that money for nothing and I’m still not done with the case had to find a new lawyer ! Spoke with the manager she said she could transfer me back to the first attorney! Made me feel like they are not interested in a fair defense , more so just financial gains . don’t think they would offer me any sort of reimbursement of any kind! would be honorable, not Evan the paperwork they filed was understandable by the judge , hoping they read this and offer a portion of my money back in good faith
