September , 2004 This poor, one-star rating is applied to Jessica Alt and Gary Werley of Padfield & Stout, due to their poor communication, misrepresentation of my interests, and errors on a legal document. Jessica Alt immediately severed the relationship via email when their misrepresentation was brought to Alt and Werley's attention. A third attorney, partner, told me the culture of Padfield & Stout is to immediately sever the relationship with the client when the attorney is at fault and if there is a problem. They do not like to deal with upset clients and prefer to sever the relationship than take responsibility for the situation they caused. A fourth attorney I talked to about this situation, a founding partner, confirmed they would have no additional role as the relationship is severed. Potential clients and employees can benefit from real-life reviews like mine. Additionally, check the State Bar of Texas for filed Grievances when considering lawyers.
For local users in Fort Worth, Texas, searching for legal representation within the "Lawyers Near Me" category, Padfield & Stout LLP is a firm located at 100 Throckmorton St #700, Fort Worth, TX 76102, USA. This address places the firm in a prominent downtown Fort Worth location, often associated with established and professional legal practices. The 7th-floor suite suggests a well-appointed office within a commercial building, providing a professional environment for client interactions.
According to information available online, Padfield & Stout LLP was formed in 2003 by founding partners Alan B. Padfield and Mark W. Stout, as a continuation of their prior legal practice together. The firm positions itself as "Experienced. Relentless. Ready." and states that it strives to make each client feel like their only client. They operate not only from their Fort Worth office but also have offices in Houston and Austin, and affiliations with local counsel throughout Texas, demonstrating a broad reach across the state's major metropolitan areas and even in cities where Texas bankruptcy courts are located. This extensive network suggests their capacity to handle cases across various jurisdictions in Texas.
The firm's stated practice areas are primarily focused on commercial and business-related legal matters. These include:
However, an objective introduction necessitates acknowledging all available information, including critical feedback. The provided customer reviews, dated September 2004, present a significantly negative perspective: "This poor, one-star rating is applied to Jessica Alt and Gary Werley of Padfield & Stout, due to their poor communication, misrepresentation of my interests, and errors on a legal document. Additionally, check the State Bar of Texas for filed Grievances when considering lawyers."
This review, explicitly referencing specific attorneys within the firm (Jessica Alt and Gary Werley), raises serious concerns regarding communication, client representation, and handling of errors. It suggests a firm culture where, according to the client's account of interactions with other partners, there is a preference to "immediately sever the relationship with the client when the attorney is at fault and if there is a problem," rather than addressing and taking responsibility for the issue. This alleged practice, if representative of the firm's approach to client grievances, is a critical point for potential clients to consider, as it directly impacts client trust and the firm's willingness to resolve disputes internally.
In terms of promotional information, the firm's website highlights their extensive experience, deep knowledge of litigation processes, and wide geographical reach within Texas. They also emphasize their commitment to providing "the best possible legal solutions" and making "each client feel like our only client." Their offices in key Texas cities and affiliations across the state are promoted as benefits for clients seeking comprehensive legal assistance across different jurisdictions. The firm has been recognized in legal rankings such as Chambers and Partners for Litigation: General Commercial in Fort Worth, and some of their attorneys are rated by Super Lawyers, which are often used as promotional credentials. They also mention a supportive work environment for their over 45 employees in the Fort Worth office, indicating a substantial operation.
However, the negative review serves as a counterbalance to these promotional claims. It explicitly advises potential clients and employees to "benefit from real-life reviews like mine" and to "check the State Bar of Texas for filed Grievances when considering lawyers." This suggestion underscores the importance of conducting thorough due diligence beyond a firm's self-promotional materials. Given that the provided review is from September 2004, it is important for prospective clients to consider the firm's current practices and any more recent feedback or disciplinary actions, if available. However, based solely on the provided information, this particular negative review stands out as a significant data point.
In conclusion, Padfield & Stout LLP, located at 100 Throckmorton St #700, Fort Worth, TX 76102, USA, presents itself as a robust commercial litigation and creditors' rights firm with a broad presence across Texas. Their services encompass a wide range of business and financial legal matters. While the firm promotes itself as experienced, relentless, and client-focused, a detailed review from a past client raises serious concerns about communication, client interest representation, handling of errors, and a reported firm culture of severing relationships rather than addressing client grievances directly. Potential clients using the "Lawyers Near Me" platform are advised to carefully weigh both the firm's advertised strengths and the significant negative feedback provided, and to conduct independent research, including checking with the State Bar of Texas, to form a comprehensive understanding before engaging their services.

Jul 02, 2021 · Ayesha WilsonThis group has no morals and NO concept of laws or the civil rights and acts which protect disabled individuals. They are willing to defend people who harass disabled people for simply existing with their service dogs. If they cant even understand the ADA they have no business being in law. Not to mention the lack of professionalism & response ignoring letters of intent.

Oct 02, 2021 · Jacquelyn GonzalesThey are EXTREMELY unprofessional and breaking the law. They have harassed and kicked out multiple disabled people. One pair because they was sitting with their trained service animals, taking a break from walking because of their disabilities and one of the works flipped out on them and demanded they leave and are banned for Literally sitting there! Other two disabled women was harassed and screamed at for 4 hrs for simply being there with their service dogs. They kindly try to educate them but instead banned them. They are currently using them and they are trying to ignore them by not answering emails nor phone calls.. please think twice before going here.. they are extremely rude(even if you don't have service animal) and so unprofessional. God forbid you say something against them. They're pathetic and horrible people. Never in my life have I ever seen such horrible people. Not only are they rude but they are harassing people and breaking the law. They have done this to multiple people. Please don't shop here
