I read the reviews and was psychologically prepared to deal with incompetence. My experience was the exact opposite. All parties arrives for closing early, so we started early. The receptionist Kim was very friendly. The attorney - Chris Little - was very polite, knowledgeable, and personable. If I met this guy outside of work, I would never guess he is a lawyer; very laid-back. The entire closing process took maybe 75mins, mostly due to my numerous questions - otherwise, we could've done it in 40mins. Overall, I have exactly zero complaints, other than the office being very far away. From the reviews, it seems to be a case-by-case experience based on your attorney. If you have Chris Little then you should be fine.

Parkway Law Group - Gwinnett Introduce

When involved in legal processes, especially those as significant as real estate closings, finding a competent and reliable legal team nearby is crucial. Parkway Law Group - Gwinnett is situated in Lawrenceville, the county seat of Gwinnett County, Georgia, placing them within the Stone Mountain Judicial Circuit. This local presence suggests familiarity with the regional legal environment and practices, particularly in areas like real estate law, which is the focus of the available customer reviews. However, the provided reviews present a stark contrast in client experiences, indicating a potentially variable level of service depending on the specific attorney or team handling the case.

One review offers a highly positive account of a real estate closing experience with Parkway Law Group - Gwinnett. The client mentioned arriving early and being able to start the closing process ahead of schedule. The receptionist, Kim, is specifically praised for being "very friendly." The attorney who handled the closing, Chris Little, is described as "very polite, knowledgeable, and personable," with the reviewer noting that his laid-back demeanor made him seem unlike the stereotypical lawyer. The closing process itself was efficient, taking approximately 75 minutes, a duration primarily extended by the client's numerous questions. The reviewer felt that it could have been completed in about 40 minutes otherwise. Overall, this client had "exactly zero complaints," with the only minor inconvenience being the office's distance. The review concludes with a crucial observation: the quality of service seems to be attorney-dependent, and if a client is assigned Chris Little, they "should be fine."

In stark opposition, another review details a severely negative closing experience with Parkway Law Group - Gwinnett. This client asserts that the firm managed to mishandle every aspect of their closing from beginning to end. They reported receiving incorrect closing documents a mere ten minutes before the closing time on the preceding business day. At the closing table, they allegedly spent an hour waiting for the correct figures. Furthermore, despite requesting wire transfers more than ten times, one did not go through on that business day. As a result of these issues, the closing was postponed, forcing the client to wait over a weekend for a rescheduled date and time. This reviewer characterized the closing office as "about as slow and unprofessional as they come" and strongly recommended choosing another closing attorney.

These contrasting reviews paint a complex picture of the environment and services at Parkway Law Group - Gwinnett. The positive review suggests that with certain attorneys, such as Chris Little, clients can expect a friendly, efficient, and knowledgeable service, particularly in real estate closings. The office environment, at least in the interaction with Kim the receptionist and Chris Little, appears to be welcoming and professional. However, the negative review highlights significant concerns about the firm's organization, accuracy of documentation, handling of financial transactions, and overall professionalism, potentially leading to substantial delays and frustration for clients.

Based on these reviews, the services offered by Parkway Law Group - Gwinnett include real estate closings. However, the quality and efficiency of these services appear to vary considerably. Potential services may include:

  • Residential real estate closings.
  • Review and preparation of closing documents.
  • Facilitation of financial transactions related to the closing (e.g., wire transfers).
  • Representation of buyers and/or sellers in real estate transactions.

Features of Parkway Law Group - Gwinnett, as indicated by the client experiences, include:

  • Potentially friendly and personable attorneys (e.g., Chris Little).
  • A seemingly friendly and helpful receptionist (Kim).
  • However, there is a risk of significant disorganization and errors in the closing process.
  • Potential for delays and unprofessional handling of transactions.
  • The quality of service appears to be heavily dependent on the specific attorney or team assigned to the case.

For local users in Lawrenceville seeking legal assistance with real estate closings, Parkway Law Group - Gwinnett presents a mixed bag of potential experiences. While one client had a smooth and positive closing with attorney Chris Little, another encountered significant issues and strongly advises against using their services. This discrepancy suggests that potential clients should exercise caution and, if considering this firm, specifically inquire about the attorney who would be handling their case. Requesting information about the attorney's experience with similar transactions and potentially seeking references or additional reviews related to that specific attorney may be prudent steps.

Located on North Brown Road in Lawrenceville, Parkway Law Group - Gwinnett offers a physical office for conducting real estate closings and other potential legal services. However, the conflicting feedback regarding their service quality underscores the importance of thorough research and due diligence before engaging their services.

In conclusion, Parkway Law Group - Gwinnett in Lawrenceville, Georgia, offers legal services related to real estate closings. However, client experiences appear to vary significantly. While attorney Chris Little is highlighted for providing a positive and efficient closing experience, other clients have reported severe issues with disorganization, errors, and unprofessionalism. If you could mess up any part of a closing, they did. Every part of our closing with them went poorly from start to finish. We received closing documents at ten minutes before closing time on the business day before our closing and they were incorrect. We spent an hour waiting for correct numbers at the table. Wire transfers were requested 10+ times and one still didn't make it on that business day. They pushed the closing and made us wait a weekend for a new closing date and time. This closing office was about as slow and unprofessional as they come. I highly recommend choosing another closing attorney.

My experience with Parkway was exceptional. Couldn't have asked for a smoother closing experience for our new home! Amanda made sure that everything was taken care of before I even thought to ask, from start to finish. Her attention to detail put us at ease, and when we got to the closing table we were in and out in 30 minutes. Everything was done, organized, and ready to go. Thank you!!

We did our closing virtually. It was not great. The notary did not show up for our appointment. We also were made to feel that we were inconveniencing them because there were problems with the documents our mortgage company sent. We received several curt replies from various staff via email. With closing costs being so high in a modern real estate transaction, one would hope to at least be treated well at the actual closing. We had heard great things about them from our real estate agent, so it was both surprising and disappointing.
