Navigating legal challenges can be a daunting experience, and finding the right legal representation is crucial for achieving a favorable outcome. While physically situated in the United States, understanding the scope and client experiences of such a firm can be valuable for individuals here who may require legal assistance in matters involving the US legal system or who are seeking to understand the standards and client care offered by reputable legal practices abroad.
Pasternack Tilker Ziegler Walsh Stanton & Romano L.L.P. is a well-established law firm with a physical office in Garden City, New York. Their location in a professional building suggests a formal and accessible environment for clients within the region. While we cannot provide specific details about the interior ambiance or immediate surroundings based on the provided information, it is common for law firms of this nature to maintain a professional and confidential setting to ensure client comfort and privacy during consultations and meetings.
Based on the information available, Pasternack Tilker Ziegler Walsh Stanton & Romano L.L.P. specializes in several key areas of law. The positive review specifically mentions their work on a Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) case, indicating expertise in this complex field. SSDI law involves assisting individuals who are unable to work due to a disability in navigating the often intricate application and appeals processes of the Social Security Administration. Their success in this area, as highlighted by the client who "did win my SSDI case," suggests a strong understanding of the relevant laws and procedures.
Furthermore, the mention of representation for a "personal injury" case in the second review implies that the firm also handles matters related to injuries caused by the negligence or wrongdoing of others. This could encompass a wide range of incidents, such as car accidents, slip and falls, construction accidents, and other situations where individuals have suffered physical or emotional harm. Expertise in personal injury law involves assessing liability, negotiating with insurance companies, and, if necessary, litigating in court to secure fair compensation for their clients' damages, including medical expenses, lost wages, and pain and suffering.
While not explicitly stated in the provided reviews, the firm's name, often indicative of the partners and their areas of focus, suggests a multi-faceted practice likely covering additional areas of law. Law firms with multiple partners often have a broader range of expertise to serve a wider clientele. It is common for firms like Pasternack Tilker Ziegler Walsh Stanton & Romano L.L.P. to also handle related areas such as Workers' Compensation (assisting individuals injured on the job), and potentially Medical Malpractice (cases where healthcare providers' negligence causes harm to patients). To gain a comprehensive understanding of all their service areas, it would be advisable to visit their official website or contact them directly.
One of the notable features highlighted in the customer reviews is the attentiveness of certain members of the team. The first reviewer specifically praises "Matt Funk" for being "exceedingly attentive" to their calls and needs throughout a "long and ongoing case." This positive feedback underscores the importance of responsive and communicative legal support, especially in protracted legal matters where clients rely on their attorneys for guidance and updates. The reviewer's strong recommendation of the firm "without hesitation" speaks volumes about their positive experience with at least one aspect of the firm's service.
However, the second review presents a contrasting perspective regarding communication. While the client acknowledges the successful outcome of their SSDI case ("I did win my SSDI case which is what matters at the end of the day"), they express significant dissatisfaction with the lack of communication throughout the process. The reviewer notes rarely receiving calls, emails, or any correspondence, describing the lack of contact as "extreme." This highlights a critical aspect of client service in the legal profession – the need for consistent and transparent communication to keep clients informed and address their concerns promptly. While the client recognizes their experience might be an "exception," it is an important point for potential clients to consider and perhaps discuss with the firm during an initial consultation to understand their communication protocols.
Despite the communication concerns raised in one review, the fact that the client ultimately won their SSDI case indicates the firm's underlying legal competence and ability to achieve positive results for their clients. It suggests that while there might be areas for improvement in client communication for some, the firm possesses the necessary legal knowledge and skills in their areas of specialization.

Apr 17, 2025 · Scott GordonI want to start this review by clarifying that I did win my SSDI case which is what matters at the end of the day. However, this review is about the process. I very rarely got a call, email, or any correspondence back when I reached out. I barely ever heard from them at all. I was represented by another lawyer for an injury, so I realize that a client won’t hear from their lawyers much throughout the process, but the lack of communication with this practice seems extreme. I didn’t hear from my lawyer, a paralegal, no one until the day before or the day of my hearing (I can’t remember exactly.) I called and left a message after my case was won because I had a question related to disability that I was unable to answer on my own and no one ever got back to me. I don’t know why I thought they would get back to me after I’m no longer a client if they barely got back to me when I was. That was my bad. My experience definitely seems to be the exception which is great and they did manage to win my case, so hopefully no one experiences what I did.
Dec 20, 2024 · Stephanie RubiI tried getting in touch with my attorney multiple times, they never call back. I've been switched between 4 lawyers in 7 months and when something important happens they need to learn my case. I called to speak to a manager and she was REALLY rude, acting like I should thank her for getting me information I should have had a month ago, as stated in a letter that she kept denying to be true. If an owner or one of the main partners can get in touch, give me a call, same email as the one I used for your firm, you should be able to find my number. Otherwise I'm putting in a formal complaint in a 2 page letter I recieved from the complaint department. I'll give it til friday before I fill it out. I hope someone finally does the right thing and can acknowledge that I shouldn't have been called 20 minutes before my case to be introduced to the lawyer who would be representing me that I never spoke to before. Nothing has been smooth, ESPECIALLY getting a call back in the same week, none the less, it usually takes 2 weeks to get in contact and it's because I called back. I either want a solid lawyer from your firm that I speak to and they represent me, or i want you removed without pay. I'm hoping it's a specific lawyer who will be in touch, and if so, I'll remove this review. If not, on Friday I'm filing the formal complaint against the office. Edit: in response to your reply, because i cant find the reply button for whatever reason. If I call because I have a question, and 9/10 times I dont even get a cal back, then you're just flat out disrespectful and ok with it? because I have called and get no response. Ive had 4 different paralegals saying they were the new paralegal, and on my november hearing, i got a call 20 minutes from the hearing by the lawyer representing me, was not who i was told was supposed to represent me, and asked me for a run down on thr case 20 minutes before we were on call with the judge. Really unprofesssional, and your response, talking about my case and specific things, will be added to the call from the bar association. It's nobody's business what kind of case with you, thats part of attorney client privelage. I took a snapshot, so dont worry about deleting it Also, how are you going to say "you had no further information" if you dont answer to hear the question? You got back to me quicker on a google review, than ever returning a call, and this still took you what? 5 days?
Jan 28, 2025 · John J LauricellaThey are all amazing! First off I am deaf and they go out of their way to get what I need for accessibility! They are on top of getting interpreters, responding to emails ASAP, even takes the time of the day to explain everything to me whatever paperwork I receive from worker's compensation or results of the hearing. Matt Funk and Jorge Alverez make sure everything goes on file and gets everything ready before the hearing. My two favorite are Matt Funk and Jorge Alverez! Also many more that represented me are all amazing as well! Thank you pasternack for representing me!
Feb 08, 2025 · Kristin McPartlandI had two cases with this firm… Workman’s Comp and Social Security Disability. My experience was nothing short of AMAZING! Every attorney and Para was patient and informative. I had a lot of stress and anxiety, however, everyone was patient and kept me in the loop at all times. I sleep very well at night now thanks to THIS FIRM!
