When it comes to speaking to your lawyers, they are not reliable, the receptionist claim they give the messages to the lawyers, but who knows. I have left a total of 10 messages to call me back in 10 different occasions and never received a call back. This firm is 20/80, they do 20% of the work and client does 80%. Examples.... if there is a form that needs to be sent ASAP, it takes them a week and a half, verses myself who’s taken the lead, and takes one to two days. A simple call back which takes one day, depending the amount of work one has, me it takes less then 30 mins. Instead of the lawyers having copies of forms they should already have, they take the ones the client brings in and doesn’t return. Robert Bellone does not return phone calls nor emails and almost always his phone is sent to voicemail, the only way to speak to him is if you go to his office on Friday’s and you drive far. Nice fella when spoken in person. Manny in the Manhatton office, is a good lawyer except lately he doesn’t seem to remember his clients and also doesn’t return messages, he does his home work and is always on point when in court. Disappointed he doesn’t even reach out like before. What is frustrating about this firm is that the NYC receptionist need to be replaced by more caring and kinder ones, when you call you get the vibe that they really don’t want to be bother or help you. Along with the lawyers informing us that we can call and they will call us back, when it’s a Illusion and a hoax’s. Why hire a firm that doesn’t Cominicate correctly to there clients. Unfortunately they started well with me back in 2013, but since then they have fallen and forgotten about many of there loyal clients, including me. One has to take time from ones Schedule to drive pay $40 parking or get on the train and wait 2 hours to speak to them, when all they have to do is return a simple call.... this is for the Manhattan office.
For local users in New York City seeking legal representation and browsing the "Lawyers Near Me" category, Peter S. Tipograph's office is located at 11, 277 Broadway, New York, NY 10007, USA. The provided phone numbers are (877) 817-7881 and +1 877-817-7881, offering avenues for potential clients to reach out. However, it is crucial to consider the feedback from online reviews before making a decision about engaging this legal practice.
Several recurring themes emerge from the customer reviews, painting a concerning picture regarding the firm's communication and client service. Multiple reviewers express significant dissatisfaction with the reliability of communication. One client reports leaving a total of ten messages across ten different occasions without receiving a single call back. This suggests a systemic issue with responsiveness and the firm's ability to keep clients informed.
Another reviewer characterizes the firm's work ethic as "20/80," alleging that the client ends up doing the majority of the work (80%) while the firm contributes only a fraction (20%). This is illustrated with examples of significant delays in handling simple administrative tasks, such as sending forms. The reviewer claims that tasks taking them one to two days to complete would take the firm a week and a half. Furthermore, the simple act of returning a phone call, which the client estimates should take less than 30 minutes for the lawyer, allegedly does not occur.
A particularly troubling aspect raised in the reviews concerns the handling of important documents. One client states that instead of lawyers maintaining their own copies of necessary forms, they take the originals provided by the client and fail to return them. This practice could potentially create significant inconvenience and risk for the client.
Specific individuals within the firm are also mentioned in the negative feedback. Robert Bellone is singled out for consistently not returning phone calls or emails, with his phone almost always going to voicemail. The only reported way to speak with him is by traveling to his office on Fridays, which can be a significant burden for clients who live far away. While one reviewer notes that Mr. Bellone is a "nice fella" in person, the inaccessibility via phone and email poses a major communication barrier.
Even Manny in the Manhattan office, who is initially described as a "good lawyer" with strong courtroom skills, receives criticism for a recent decline in client communication. The reviewer expresses disappointment that Manny no longer reaches out to clients as he did previously and seems to have difficulty remembering them, despite handling their legal matters. This suggests a potential issue with client retention and ongoing communication even with lawyers who may be competent in their legal work.
A significant point of concern across multiple reviews is the perceived attitude and inefficiency of the NYC receptionist. Reviewers describe the receptionist as unwelcoming ("they really don’t want to be bother or help you") and contributing to a negative overall experience. This frontline interaction appears to contradict assurances from the lawyers that clients can call and expect a return call, which is described as an "illusion and a hoax."
The fundamental question raised by multiple reviewers is the value of hiring a firm that does not communicate effectively with its clients. One former client, who initially had a positive experience in 2013, notes a significant decline in service and a feeling of being forgotten, along with many other loyal clients. This suggests a potential issue with scaling the practice or maintaining client relationships over time.
The frustration of having to take significant time and incur expenses (parking or lengthy train journeys) to speak with someone in person, when a simple phone call could resolve the issue, is a recurring complaint regarding the Manhattan office. This highlights a profound disconnect between the firm's accessibility and the expectations of their clients.
The concluding remark in one review is a strong condemnation, advising others to "Call the Bar Association for a Better Lawer" and labeling the firm's practices as "Fraud at it's BEST!" This extreme statement underscores the depth of dissatisfaction experienced by at least one former client and serves as a serious warning to potential new clients.
Given the overwhelmingly negative feedback centered around communication, responsiveness, and client service, it is difficult to objectively describe a positive environment or highlight specific features of Peter S. Tipograph's practice that would be beneficial to local users. The consistent complaints about lack of communication, delays, and administrative issues overshadow any potential legal expertise that the individual lawyers within the firm may possess.
There is no information provided regarding any promotional offers or unique services that might differentiate Peter S. Tipograph from other lawyers in the "Lawyers Near Me" category. The absence of positive feedback regarding client experience makes it challenging to identify any compelling reasons for local users to choose this firm based solely on the available online reviews.
For local users in New York actively searching for legal representation, particularly those who value clear and reliable communication with their attorney, the numerous negative reviews concerning Peter S. Tipograph's firm should be carefully considered. While the office is located in a convenient area of Broadway, the reported issues with responsiveness, administrative efficiency, and overall client service raise significant red flags. Potential clients may want to weigh these concerns heavily against the convenience of the location before deciding to engage this firm.
In conclusion, Peter S. Tipograph's office at 277 Broadway in New York City is geographically accessible to local users. However, the online reviews paint a concerning picture of unreliable communication, administrative delays, and poor client service. Potential clients seeking legal representation through the "Lawyers Near Me" platform are strongly advised to carefully consider this feedback and potentially seek alternatives that prioritize clear and consistent communication and a positive client experience.
