Via phone call, I contacted Stephen to assist me with a wrongful eviction. He took the name of the lawyer who filed the eviction and the information that I’d had thus far. Upon arrival to his office, I paid him for an hour of his time. He had no recollection of any of the information I’d given him and basically told me that the lawyer who filed the eviction was his mentor and that he would not help me with my case. Furthermore, he told me that he would look into if I was served the eviction properly, because he saw a discrepancy. Of course I never received a follow-up. He was very harsh and condescending. He asked if I wanted to file bankruptcy for $6000. Comical! Stephen is unethical and wasted my time and money.

Pezza, Stephen M. Introduce

This introduction aims to provide an objective overview of Pezza, Stephen M., a legal professional whose services might be sought by local users through platforms categorized as "Lawyers Near Me." Located at 1220 Pontiac Ave # 203, Cranston, RI 02920, USA, Stephen M. Pezza's office is situated in a convenient Cranston location. The contact information for the office is (401) 831-4455, with a mobile phone also listed at +1 401-831-4455.

When considering legal services through a "Lawyers Near Me" platform, potential clients often seek information regarding the lawyer's environment, the services offered, distinguishing features, and any promotional aspects. Based on the provided customer reviews, a detailed picture emerges concerning the experience of engaging with Stephen M. Pezza.

Regarding the environment, one customer's experience, as relayed in a review, suggests that an in-person visit to the office took place. The review details a phone call interaction preceding the office visit, indicating that initial contact is possible remotely, followed by a physical consultation. However, the nature of the in-office experience, specifically concerning the recollection of information, is highlighted as a significant issue. The client notes, "Upon arrival to his office, I paid him for an hour of his time. He had no recollection of any of the information I’d given him." This suggests a potential disconnect in information management or client intake procedures, which could impact a client's perception of the office's organizational environment and attentiveness.

Concerning the services offered, the reviews shed light on specific areas of law that Stephen M. Pezza has been approached for. One client sought assistance with a "wrongful eviction," indicating that eviction or landlord-tenant law is a practice area that clients might consult him for. Another instance involved a suggestion for "bankruptcy for $6000," implying that bankruptcy law is also a service that might be offered. The mention of "submitting paperwork" by another client suggests general legal assistance and document preparation, which are common legal services. However, the core issue raised across multiple reviews is the alleged failure to deliver promised services or follow through on commitments, leading to significant client dissatisfaction.

The features of Stephen M. Pezza's practice, as described by past clients, are predominantly negative and raise serious concerns. A key feature, or rather a lack thereof, appears to be consistent and reliable communication. One review explicitly states, "Will not return phone calls once he cashes your check." This is a critical deficiency for any legal professional, as timely communication is fundamental to client trust and case progression. The accusation of completely fabricating information, such as "Completely lied to my fiancé about submitting paperwork," points to a severe breach of professional conduct and honesty, which are essential features of ethical legal practice.

Another striking feature highlighted by the reviews is a perceived conflict of interest or an unwillingness to pursue a case due to existing professional relationships. The statement, "he basically told me that the lawyer who filed the eviction was his mentor and that he would not help me with my case," indicates a potential ethical dilemma where personal or professional ties appear to have taken precedence over the client's interests. This kind of situation can be highly detrimental to a client seeking unbiased legal representation. Furthermore, the client described the lawyer as "very harsh and condescending," which suggests a challenging interpersonal dynamic and a lack of client empathy, a crucial quality for a legal advisor.

The feature of follow-up and diligence also appears to be lacking. After promising to "look into if I was served the eviction properly, because he saw a discrepancy," the client "never received a follow-up." This failure to follow through on stated intentions contributes to the perception of unreliability and a lack of commitment to client matters. The most severe accusations include being a "literal scam artist" and engaging in unethical practices, with claims of "wasted my time and money" and "stealing our money." These are very serious allegations that directly contradict the fundamental principles of legal ethics and client trust, which are paramount for any attorney.

Regarding promotional information, an objective introduction based on the provided data must acknowledge the overwhelmingly negative feedback. While a "Lawyers Near Me" platform typically promotes services to attract clients, the existing reviews present a significant challenge to any positive promotional efforts. Instead of highlighting positive features, the available information points to concerns that potential clients should be aware of. Promotional materials would ideally emphasize responsiveness, integrity, and successful client outcomes. However, the reviews directly contradict these positive attributes. Therefore, any "promotional information" for Stephen M. Pezza, based solely on the provided customer feedback, would necessitate caution and a clear understanding of the reported client experiences.

In a typical scenario for a "Lawyers Near Me" category, a lawyer would promote their expertise, client testimonials praising their effectiveness, and a supportive office environment. However, for Stephen M. Pezza, the reviews indicate the opposite: issues with memory and information retention, an alleged lack of commitment to cases once paid, unreturned phone calls, alleged dishonesty, and a perceived conflict of interest. These factors make it difficult to construct a traditional promotional narrative. Instead, for users navigating a platform like "Lawyers Near Me" and seeking objective information, the emphasis would be on informing them about the reported experiences of other clients to help them make an informed decision.

In conclusion, Stephen M. Pezza, located at 1220 Pontiac Ave # 203, Cranston, RI, and contactable at (401) 831-4455, has been engaged by clients for issues such as wrongful eviction and bankruptcy. However, multiple customer reviews detail significant concerns regarding his professional conduct, including alleged unreturned phone calls, failure to follow up on promises, alleged dishonesty, perceived conflicts of interest, and a generally unhelpful and condescending demeanor. These negative experiences, as reported by clients, suggest an environment and features that are not conducive to positive client-attorney relationships and should be carefully considered by anyone seeking legal services. The information available online from real customers paints a picture of a practice where trust and communication have been severely compromised.

A literal scam artist, Will not return phone calls once he cashes your check. Completely lied to my fiancé about submitting paperwork, and then went completely dark after stealing our money.

I paid this guy 2 grand to handle a simple name change for my daughter and also hired him to handle a mv accident. He does not return phone calls or give updates. Seems more like he took my money and disappeared. I would not recommend him for anything
