RUDE AND ARROGANT. Just as the last reviewer noted, I also am high level professional and Rita spoke down to me from the moment she began. She hung up on me after she mocked me for not knowing the answer to her question, even after offering what info I did have. I hope someone is able to follow through on a bar complaint, she is the kind of person who gives lawyers a bad name. Shame on you for speaking to those seeking aid as beneath you.
Welcome to "Lawyers Near Me," a dedicated platform designed to help local users find legal professionals in their vicinity. Today, we are providing an objective introduction to Rita M. Boyd, P.C., a law firm situated in Southlake, Texas. This overview will detail the firm's environment, the types of services that might be offered (though no specific service areas are provided in the reviews), and critically examine the features and client experiences as described in available public testimonials, to offer a comprehensive and balanced perspective.
Rita M. Boyd, P.C. is located at 550 Reserve St Ste 190, Southlake, TX 76092, USA. Southlake is an upscale community within the Dallas-Fort Worth metropolitan area, known for its professional services and high quality of life. The address on Reserve Street suggests a presence within a modern commercial or professional office complex, which is typical for legal practices in such affluent areas. Suite 190 indicates a specific office within a larger building, which would generally feature a professional and private environment conducive to client consultations. While specific details about the interior decor or waiting area amenities are not provided, one would expect a clean, organized, and confidential setting where clients can discuss their legal matters. The location in Southlake provides accessibility for residents of the city and surrounding communities who may be seeking legal representation.
For direct communication, Rita M. Boyd, P.C. can be reached by phone at (972) 380-8010, with the same number also provided as a mobile contact: +1 972-380-8010. These contact details offer a direct line for prospective and existing clients to inquire about services, schedule consultations, and follow up on ongoing legal matters. In the current professional landscape, such direct contact methods are typically complemented by an online presence, though specific details about the firm's website or other digital platforms are not provided in the given information. The provision of both a landline and a mobile number suggests a commitment to accessibility for clients, aiming to ensure they can easily connect with the office.
Regarding the services offered by Rita M. Boyd, P.C., the provided client reviews do not specify any particular area of law. Unlike some other firms where clients explicitly mention "family law," "personal injury," or "estate planning," these reviews focus entirely on the lawyer's demeanor, communication, and client interaction rather than the type of legal issue. Therefore, based solely on the provided information, it is not possible to definitively list the specific legal services offered by Rita M. Boyd, P.C. The firm presumably provides legal counsel and representation, but the specific fields of law in which they specialize or operate are not disclosed within the provided text. It is common for solo practitioners or smaller firms to handle a variety of general legal matters, but without further information, we cannot confirm this for Rita M. Boyd, P.C. Prospective clients would need to inquire directly or consult other public resources to understand the firm's practice areas.
The distinguishing features of Rita M. Boyd, P.C., as highlighted by the provided client testimonials, primarily revolve around communication style, professionalism, and client relations. However, these features are described in a consistently negative light across both reviews:
The update to one review, where the client notes Ms. Boyd's response to negative feedback "continues to show her unprofessionalism" and "adds lies," further solidifies the perceived issues with the firm's client relations. The suggestion that Ms. Boyd has "many poor reviews" despite being "in business too long" implies a pattern of client dissatisfaction regarding her interpersonal approach.
From a promotional standpoint, a law firm typically aims to attract clients by highlighting its expertise, successful track record, and a positive client experience. In the "Lawyers Near Me" category, glowing testimonials are invaluable. However, in the case of Rita M. Boyd, P.C., the available reviews present a significant challenge to traditional promotional efforts. The consistent and strong negative feedback regarding professionalism, communication, and client treatment would likely deter potential clients. The reviews directly address key elements that clients seek in a lawyer: clear communication, respect, and a supportive demeanor. The explicit advice "If I could give her no stars I would. Believe her reviews! They are true! If you're looking for professional, transparent legal services, save yourself the frustration and look elsewhere" serves as a direct counter-promotion from past clients. While the firm's address and contact details provide discoverability, the overwhelming negative sentiment in the provided reviews would significantly impact any positive promotional message. In the absence of positive testimonials or specific promotional claims from the firm itself, this introduction relies solely on the given feedback, which primarily serves as a cautionary note for prospective clients regarding client service expectations.
In conclusion, Rita M. Boyd, P.C. is a law firm located at 550 Reserve St Ste 190, Southlake, TX 76092, USA, reachable at (972) 380-8010. While the specific legal services offered are not detailed in the provided information, the firm operates within a professional office environment in Southlake. However, the client reviews available paint a consistently negative picture regarding the firm's features and client interactions. Key criticisms include perceived rudeness, arrogance, condescending communication, a lack of patience in answering questions, and a general unprofessional demeanor. Clients reported feeling disrespected and that their concerns were dismissed, raising significant questions about the firm's approach to client service and integrity. For local users seeking legal assistance, the overwhelmingly negative sentiment in these testimonials suggests a need for extreme caution and thorough consideration of alternative legal options if client communication and a respectful professional relationship are prioritized.

Feb 12, 2025 · Sentient BeingVery poor Communication and communication skills. She talked to us like we were stupid..two college graduates so I think we’re far from that. I think people forget that your job is to answer questions when you’re in public service and providing a service that you specialize in, also when someone is PAYING YOU! We all don’t know the ins and out of law but you do.It doesn’t matter if people ask 20 times you should answer their questions and make them feel confident in you. Needing to have a lawyer is a stressful situation to be in and people are trying to make sure they do things correctly and understand the process. She was very unprofessional and made the comment “I shouldn’t have to keep explaining things to grown adults” I would NEVER want someone like her defending my husband in court or even being associated with someone like her. Integrity means everything! If I could give her no stars I would. Believe her reviews! They are true! Update post Rita’s response: Look how she responds to her bad reviews. She continues to show her unprofessionalism. She also adds lies. We weren’t fired we requested to take our services else were. I hope God gives you the peace and understanding that you need to continue to serve people. You have been in business too long to have as many poor reviews as you have. God bless you and have a wonderful day!
Aug 20, 2024 · Syerra RobertsThe initial conversation sounded very promising. The next two months seemed like a completely different experience so much that I decided to go another route before my actual court date. First in two months she never tried to setup a meeting or phone call to get the proper paperwork/proof related to the case on my behalf, one week out I was messaging her like “Hey we need to meetup to get you all this paperwork so I’m not going in there empty handed”. Also after being counter sued, I messaged her about this and her response was “ok” and “you didn’t hire me for that new case” basically saying it has nothing to do with her and proceeds to send me another retainer bill. I told her to call me trying to figure out how to get her my paperwork and what else I would need for court and she HUNG UP IN MY FACE! Which is why I ultimately fired her on top of not being prepared! Causing me to spend even more on a new attorney in less than a week before court date! So fast forward to now: All she has done on my behalf was file the papers to initiate my case, $601. Which was written with some errors, also my Ex was served improperly as per the judge so technically she could have not shown up on the court date and there was nothing I could’ve done about that! Never spoke with me about our plan, never got any paperwork or statements from me, was released prior to going to court. When asked for a billing statement and the remainder of my retainer, first she states “she can’t talk to me” when in fact she can when it’s related to billing and not the case/legal advice itself. She then tells me she is not going to reimburse my remaining retainer of $5k and that I actually will owe her a balance. I wish I followed my gut when I read her reviews from other men online, she sounded a lot more professional and on top of things on the phone during our consultation. She may be better for women, men look elsewhere! Update Aug 16,2024: Rita proceeded to reply to this same review on FACEBOOK and call me a liar posting “Lies and More Lies” as her response! She literally messaged me twice and called me twice to ask me to take the review down because “It will post everywhere if it’s left up for too long!” I REPLIED “Refund me properly and we can talk about it”. This call was ended when she stated she had a call she had been waiting for. Screen shots below, since I’m a “liar!”, would she be calling and texting me if I was “Just lying on her!” She is bad business! Please stay away from her! I’m giving her, her 30days to bill and refund me or I will be reporting her to Texas Bar and taking her to Small Claims court! I initially gave 2 stars, since being called a liar I dropped it to 1 star! She literally calls every person that gives her a bad review a liar! Go look at her reviews for yourself. Update Aug 20, 2024 And now she is blatantly lying and making up random statements under review to make her self not look like she is the problem stating “Didn’t send her an email address for her to do her job”…you mean the email that I sent her when I paid her initial retainer or the entire form I filled out with all of my information as well as my sons mothers, the day I hired her! This lady is very crooked and keeps getting worse. I’m just waiting my 30days to get my billing statement and return of my retainer or we’ll be in small claims court and I’ll be making a claim on her with the bar! All my emails and her blatant lying under this review will be submitted on her when we go to court if I don’t receive 50% of my retainer back. She hasn’t ceased to amaze me how unprofessional and bad business she continues to be. Update Sept 3,2024: After asking for my bill and remaining retainer for past few weeks I was forced to have to ask her again to complete our business. She tried to bargain removing this review vs completing our business appropriately. When I didn’t agree She ultimately said my $5k retainer was gone and that I actually had a $6k balance and she wouldn’t try and get the balance if I removed my review. Bad business please stay away.

Oct 10, 2024 · JasMy opinion?: What a waste of money! This woman is MIA as soon as rubber hits the road. Hardly ever available by phone when things get tough. Case #2: I hired her to WRITE A RESPONSE LETTER, she then engaged in negotiations with opposing counsel without authorization claiming she had it 80% settled and demanded a retainer, screwed up the entire case. Then, at 3PM SUNDAY the day before court she emails me asking for evidence that was given to her 3 months earlier. Shows up unprepared and carrying a Family Law guide from 2015. I was lucky the judge postponed the hearing and I was able to hire a decent attorney. Finally, she does not keep track of her billing. I wish I could upload her pathetic voicemail requesting "Can we just agree that I did $5,000 worth of work?" Once she screws everything up and you file a Texas Bar complaint, she threatens to sue you for slander. If you are dead set on LOSING a case, then I would refer her. Reply to response: it IS VERY ACCURATE. I can't go into other issues she has without violating HIPPA LAW.
