I literally just got off a call with Catherine, and I was so pleased that I feel a strong need to immediately write a review! I needed legal support on immigration status, and have researched around 10 and contacted 3 different law groups! Roven Law Group was 1. super responsive 2. very organized 3. very helpful and professional! Will update again once the case is done! But my first interactions were one of the best I've received!

Very horrible experience. Very unprofessional. She does not care about her customer at all and her assistant handled our case at the beginning. She claimed that she had reviewed every document finally sent out. However, there were questions forgot to be answered in the initial application which led to a supplemental documentation requirement; there were questions misunderstood and typo before the second submission and ourselves found those issues. Our case were originally rejected by mistakes due to the first obvious mistake and the whole processes were delayed more than 3 months now and will be further delayed since it was a bundled case, with a lot more money spent. She does not reply any emails unless you call her office several times. However, when she tried to charge you, very fast reply and can push you twice a day. She was rude to clients and cannot control her emotions. There appeared to be two types of customers. She seemed to be kind to one group but ignore the other. If you want to try your luck and willing to take the risk or have a high tolerance about “mistakes”, welcome to choose her.

Janice is knowledgeable, dedicated, and straightforward. She provides honest advice while passionately advocating for her clients' best interests. She navigates challenges with confidence, ensuring her clients feel supported and well-represented. Strongly recommend her.

I regret hiring Janice Roven for my case. She initially assured me she would handle things a certain way, but once she had my retainer, communication became nearly nonexistent. Months went by with little to no updates, and I had to constantly call and email her office just to hear vague responses like, "We're reaching out to check your filing status." Nearly a year later, my case has barely progressed. After retaining her, I spoke with her a few times, but then not again for six months—at which point she asked me to start from the beginning as if we had never spoken before. That call was long, frustrating, and ended with her completely changing the strategy she initially promised. She also made empty promises about assisting with a will, filing child support in my state, and protecting my child with an emergency order which never happened. Emails to her and her paralegal, Catherine, were ignored for weeks at a time, and when I confronted Catherine about this, with Janice CCd, I got an apology—but the pattern continued. Worse, she never responded to my out-of-state attorney who was also working on my case, which led that attorney to assume she was no longer needed and withdraw. As a result, I’ve had to start over with another attorney, in both states, adding unnecessary financial and emotional stress. If you’re considering hiring Janice Roven, be warned: she does not prioritize her clients. She’ll take your retainer and then drag your case out as long as possible while providing little to no communication. If you’ve had a good experience with her, that’s great—but I’ve seen many others with experiences just like mine. I strongly advise looking elsewhere if you want an attorney who will actually care about your case.

We worked with Catherine. After we provided documentation for our immigration application, we found out many months later that the application was ‘lost.’ After resubmitting and her reviewing our form (she didn’t fill out anything for us) we were denied 2.5 years later. It turned out the tax details we provided wasn’t the appropriate form, though it was an official summary from the IRS. We were approved 6 months later after sending the correct document. Her advice was spotty and she did not respond to emails. On multiple occasions I had to call the office in order to get her to respond to a message. The immigration process wound up taking us 3 years. I can’t blame her for the issues with the USCIS, but after thinking over the process… I can’t really think of any professional service she provided that I’d expect from a legal advocate. She did little to nothing on our behalf. I would avoid this firm if you have an alternative.
