After my H1B visa was rejected twice due to a stupid mistake made by this lawyer, I was ready to pack my bags and move back to India. Fortunately my company president fired Runan immediately and we consulted 4 other lawyers who advised us this law firm is fraud and we should file a case against them. After 2 years of sheer financial loss and stress another lawyer saved my case. My company president, vice president and project manager wrote letters to USCIS reporting the negligence and exploitation done by this lawyer. USCIS agreed to give me visa as I was innocent. This is a small firm with two ladies running it. Her work is very mediocre and communication is an issue. Documents prepared at this agency lack english skills and spelling mistakes are plenty. They managed to make my simple H1B extension case complicated due to lack of attention to detail or just to make more money. They have no moral ethics. I would NOT recommend her to anyone who is looking for an immigration lawyer.

This article aims to provide an overview of Runan Zhang Law Offices, a legal practice located in the District of Columbia. For locals, gaining insight into available legal services is a crucial step in making informed decisions about their legal needs.

Runan Zhang Law Offices is a legal practice located in Washington D.C. While the firm operates as a small entity, the provided reviews indicate significant and consistent concerns regarding the quality of their services, communication, and ethical practices. Clients have reported issues such as repeated H1B visa rejections due to "stupid mistakes," leading to significant financial loss and stress. One review describes the firm's work as "very mediocre" with "communication an issue," and notes "Documents prepared at this agency lack english skills and spelling mistakes are plenty." Another client explicitly states, "They have no moral ethics. I would NOT recommend her to anyone who is looking for an immigration lawyer." Furthermore, there are allegations of deceptive pricing, with the firm reportedly "trick you by pricing you a significant lower price than other lawyers then later on charges you way more than it should be!" Clients also claim the firm "do not care about you, never follow your case! Just asking for money," and that cases have been "significant delayed!" There is a strong warning to "NEVER EVER give this person your hard earned money!!!!" and a direct accusation of being a "Lair! DO NOT DEAL WITH RUNAN!" These multiple strong negative testimonials indicate a pattern of client dissatisfaction and serious concerns about the firm's professional conduct and effectiveness, particularly in immigration matters.

Runan Zhang Law Offices is located at 2233 Wisconsin Ave NW #315, Washington, DC 20007, USA. This address places the firm in a well-known area of Northwest Washington D.C., specifically within the vibrant Georgetown neighborhood. Wisconsin Avenue NW is a significant thoroughfare, which generally makes the office identifiable for individuals seeking legal services in the area.

For those utilizing public transportation, the firm's location on Wisconsin Avenue NW benefits from established Metrobus routes. Numerous bus lines operate along Wisconsin Avenue, providing connections to various parts of D.C., including key Metro stations and surrounding residential and commercial areas. While a direct Metrorail station is not immediately adjacent to this specific part of Wisconsin Avenue, the extensive bus network can facilitate connections to nearby Metro stations such as Dupont Circle (Red Line) or Rosslyn (Orange, Blue, Silver Lines) across the Key Bridge, allowing for accessibility from different parts of the D.C. metropolitan area.

For clients who choose to drive, the Northwest D.C. area, including this section of Wisconsin Avenue, generally offers a mix of street parking options and commercial parking garages. However, as with any urban environment, parking availability can fluctuate, and costs should be considered. The firm’s presence in a commercial building on a main road aims to offer a degree of convenience for local D.C. residents needing to visit a legal office within the Georgetown vicinity.

Based on the provided customer reviews, Runan Zhang Law Offices appears to primarily focus on immigration law, specifically handling visa applications such as H1B visas, as these are directly mentioned in multiple testimonials. However, the feedback from real customers points to significant issues with the quality and handling of these services.

  • Immigration Law (Specifically H1B Visas): Clients describe cases related to H1B visa applications and extensions. This indicates that the firm undertakes work in this complex area of U.S. immigration law.

  • General Visa Applications/Immigration Processes: Given the focus on H1B, it is probable that the firm also handles other types of visa applications, green card processes, or other immigration-related filings for individuals.

It is important to note that while these services are offered, the customer reviews raise serious concerns about the firm's competence, attention to detail, communication, and ethical practices in delivering these services, with repeated mentions of negative outcomes, delays, and dissatisfaction.

The provided customer reviews offer very strong and consistent feedback regarding several features of Runan Zhang Law Offices. However, these points are overwhelmingly negative and highlight significant concerns rather than positive attributes. When considering this firm, potential clients should be aware of the following, as reported by real customers:

  • Reported Lack of Competence and Attention to Detail: Clients allege "stupid mistake" leading to visa rejections and describe work as "very mediocre." There are mentions of "lack of attention to detail" and documents containing "spelling mistakes are plenty," indicating concerns about the quality of legal work.

  • Significant Communication Issues: Multiple reviews state that "communication is an issue" and that the firm "do not care about you, never follow your case!" This suggests a lack of responsiveness and client engagement.

  • Allegations of Unethical Pricing Practices: Clients report being "trick by pricing you a significant lower price than other lawyers then later on charges you way more than it should be!" and that the firm is "Just asking for money." This raises serious ethical concerns regarding billing transparency and honesty.

  • Allegations of Moral and Ethical Lapses: Reviews explicitly state, "They have no moral ethics" and include strong condemnations like "Lair! DO NOT DEAL WITH RUNAN!" and "NEVER EVER give this person your hard earned money!!!!" These are severe accusations regarding the firm's integrity.

  • Case Delays and Negative Outcomes: Clients report cases being "significant delayed" and experiencing "sheer financial loss and stress," with one visa case being rejected twice due to the lawyer's alleged mistakes, requiring intervention from another lawyer and USCIS directly.

  • Small Firm Structure: One review notes it as "a small firm with two ladies running it." While some clients prefer smaller firms for personalized attention, in this instance, it is coupled with significant complaints.

These are critical points for any prospective client to consider, as they highlight a consistent pattern of dissatisfaction and serious professional concerns reported by individuals who have engaged with the firm.

In the context of professional legal services, "promotions" or "special offers" are generally not provided by law firms due to ethical considerations and the highly personalized nature of legal work. Legal fees are typically based on the complexity of the case, the time invested, and the attorney's expertise.

However, the provided customer reviews for Runan Zhang Law Offices include direct allegations regarding pricing practices that contradict common ethical standards for legal professionals. Clients claim to be "trick by pricing you a significant lower price than other lawyers then later on charges you way more than it should be!" and state the firm is "Just asking for money." These are serious accusations of misleading financial practices and a lack of transparency regarding costs.

Therefore, instead of any "promotions," prospective clients should be aware of these reported concerns about billing and cost transparency. It is crucial for anyone considering Runan Zhang Law Offices to exercise extreme caution, to thoroughly discuss and obtain a clear, written understanding of all fees and potential costs upfront, and to verify this information independently if possible. The firm's "offerings" as described by past clients appear to center on potentially misleading pricing tactics rather than transparent or value-driven promotions.

When considering legal representation in the District of Columbia, it is paramount for local residents to choose a firm that can provide competent, ethical, and effective legal services. While Runan Zhang Law Offices is physically located in D.C. at 2233 Wisconsin Ave NW, allowing for local access, the overwhelming and consistent negative feedback from real customers raises serious concerns about its suitability for locals.

The reviews explicitly detail allegations of "stupid mistake" leading to visa rejections, "very mediocre" work, significant "communication issues," and numerous "spelling mistakes" in official documents. Furthermore, strong accusations of having "no moral ethics," being a "Lair," employing deceptive pricing strategies ("trick you by pricing you a significant lower price then later on charges you way more"), and a lack of client care ("do not care about you, never follow your case! Just asking for money") are repeatedly voiced. Clients also report "significant delayed" cases and "sheer financial loss and stress." Given these severe and consistent complaints, which include claims of professional negligence, exploitation, and dishonesty, it suggests that Runan Zhang Law Offices may not be suitable for locals seeking reliable or ethical legal assistance for their immigration or other legal needs in the District of Columbia. It is crucial for D.C. residents to prioritize firms with strong positive reputations, clear communication, and a proven track record of successful and ethical representation to safeguard their legal interests and financial well-being.
